I've gushed over this album plenty already, so now I'll gush over you, and how much I enjoy listening to what you have to say. It's like we're sitting right there in the room with you having a conversation.
    You rock!
As for Mikael, it's hard to imagine that he used to think he was a bad singer.
I hope he doesn't still feel that way.
From the first moment I heard him I was in awe of his voice.

I often get goosebumps during the mid end of this song. I love the mood that gets developed during the end of the album. Especially from this track until the next.
I tend to give Opeth music the same attention as I give to books, because they really deserve it! This album in particular is such a ride! (And please don't ask me which opeth album isn't)

Are you going to react to the swedish version after you finish up this album? I think it would be worth it just for the difference in vocals. There could be some totally different details to pick up on for us. There is another band with an incredible vocalist you have to get to one of these days called The Dear Hunter, with vocalist Casey Crecenzo. They actually have a song by the same name as this album "In Cauda Venenum" on their 3rd album Act 3. This album is kind of his mostly emo vocal album, but he changes A LOT both within albums, and across albums as the state of mind of the character in the story changes. (There are 5 acts each being a full album that all focus on a boy called Hunter around the time of WW1.)

Agree with Max, would love to see some The Dear Hunter reactions! A Night on the Town is a good song of theirs with a cool video as well.
