🥔🥔🥔Thanks so much for this detailed explanation about planting potatoes in containers. I've grown potatoes 2 years now. There's virtually no information about how potatoes grow in containers.
🥔🥔🥔 My question is about the potatoes' final size. Do they stay smaller planted in containers than they would in the ground? Do they grow larger when there is only one seed potato per container? Why are there always so many tiny potatoes left in the fall? Thank you so much!

Are these indeterminate potatoes or determinate? From what I understand this method only works with indeterminate potatoes. You have to hill all potatoes to keep them from turning green. But, indeterminate potatoes grow up. Determinate potatoes grow down.
Indeterminate potatoes will continue to grow vertically, so you'll be able to tell right away (within a week or two) if you're working with determinate or indeterminate potatoes. Mine are indeterminate! As of now (early June) some of my plants are easily hitting 3ft tall :)
