I hope this Anne/Anna of Cleves will have more screentime in the new show and that she was treated more accurately now with more reliable books about her released.
Nice to see you back Cavalier hopefully the blood preasure levels will remain within tolarance this year and i look forward to your Napoleon review. 9:58 - 11:08 I suddenly feel the need to grab my flamethrower. Don't watch it Cavalier don't subject yourself to this pain, no-one will blame you if you don't watch it. 14:38 Well you got my vote.
I think it is time for me to write my epic reimagining of the War of the Roses, where Margaret Beaufort and Elizabeth Woodville are secretly gay. Henry VII is replaced at the battle of Bosworth by super girl boss Elizabeth of York. Add some racial and gender diversity, make Richard the Third non binary and I think I will have a hit that will be beloved by all…. Now to start my go fund me ….
Your videos often give this old trout a laugh, Laughing Cavalier. I'll own up to something though - when I was but a lass (a VERY long time ago) I did enjoy the 'Private Life of Henry VIII' film featuring Charles Laughton in the title role. I wasn't familiar with the REAL history of Henry at the time - just knew he had six wives.
Firebrand: As well as good costumes, the in-scene music is also properly period accurate (an all too rare occurrence in Tudor historical drama). Courtesy of @Passamezzomusic (credited as "On-set Music Director") Shame the film didn't do well in competition at Cannes Film festival.
Glad you are back and glad to say that Wolf Hall will have an other season, because some of the scripts for other dramas were so terrible I don't even have words for it.
Glad your back mate, missed the ascerbic wit.Looking forward to Wolf Hall coming back. Are you a Marine Boy fan? They're the only Japanese cartoons I ever watched.
I think after the massive well-deserved backlash "Cleopatra" got (despite what their grandmothers may or may not have told them haha), maybe streaming services are getting a bit more cautious about releasing historical dramas, especially those with particularly heavy "modern" touches (i.e. as Woke and P.C. and inclusive and "rom-com-ish" as they are historically inaccurate), not because they suddenly give a sh*t about getting the history right or even really because they care what most people think about it, but because they don't like the whole being sued and officially blacklisted by entire countries thing haha; and they also needless to say don't like losing money, after all not many people are actually tuning in to watch this sh*t at this point, as word's gotten round, that and we can generally tell from the first few seconds of the first trailer what kind of show it's going to be and whether we'll enjoy it or not, as these shows don't tend to exactly play it subtle about the overall style they're going for
Lady Jane - I have been looking for another movie about her and the events surrounding her, but why are they putting in an american? don't have enough trouble with americans all ready?? and why or god sake is everyone making actual historical figure black people! WHY? They weren't black this is not the time for equality or showing your un necessary guilt. just stop it!
annother bloody tudor drama. i am seriously getting sick of the bloody tudors and the late plantagenets war of the roses. what about the stuarts and the Hanoverian and the early plantagenets like henry ii and the normans.
P.S. Dear Laughing Cavalier, i do assume it is high time to draw several emotion frames to your Alter ego for your use, as i've did a fanart some years back ago. Thank you!
Thanks for making it, don't feel pressured to make more, I'm more than happy to keep using this one for the unscripted. You were able to predict the tea issue years in advance as well, which was perfect for this particular video!
CAVALIER I MISSED YOU
Me too.
Same

OUR HISTORIC TEACHER IS BACK !!! we missed you cavalier 😊

See the conquering hero comes! Sound the trumpets, beat the drums! For our Lord Cavalier has returned!
Happy New Year LC 😊 OMG "My Lady Jane" sounds like an absolute dumpster fire, thank you for making me laugh out loud with that one 😄 xx

Not as commercial as "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"....
@@miles_thomas well that was a masterpiece, I can’t possibly imagine reaching that level of perfection.
Your sacrifice is greatly appreciated sir!
Please review older shows and movies. It doesn't have to be new stuff all the time. Happy new year 🎉
Just know that we feel your pain- & appreciate your sacrifice... 😈
You missed 'George & Mary'- I know it's not 'Tudor' per-say, but still...😈
There are so many interesting stories to tell if only they would make them good.
I have still hope for Firebrand, because I love Alicia.
The reviews at the time of the release at Cannes generally call out that Katherine Parr 's character was underdeveloped in the script.
It’s kind of sad how we don’t have A series of Mary I and Philip ii.
I would be interested in a movie focusing on the life of Mary I.
I agree. She is my favorite Tudor.
So just a miniseries on people being burned at the stake?
@@jasonjuneau3554 Why is she your favorite?
You are hilarious (in a good way). Clearly a fan of Jeopardy!
The Hitler rant over the quotes was hilarious 😅😅
I like this channel.

Ah, a Cavalier vid to sooth some aesthethic wounds.
There is also The Ballad of Amy Dudley by Zingaro Blue done on a budget of pretty much nothing.
Cavalier sir welcome back

So, finally, they went there and they are going to do a furry Tudor Drama. Well, words fail me.
No a proper furry Tudor drama would be better then what they are planing honestly.
And oh they'll be "stunning" alright

@@The_Laughing_Cavalier funny thing is that I saw the meme but I didn't read the ending text.
@@The_Laughing_Cavalierone of these years we will get Waterloo 1970 part 2 electric boogaloo
Missed you, Cav!
So my land Jane is historical fan fiction…
The Tudor era novel series Shardlake is going to receive a Disney+ adaptation.
That's not a guarantee of quality. It could be good, but ....
They certainly make some right bol@#×*% for us to watch.
1:10 As an irish girl I appreciate this reference 😭
GO CAVALIER GOOOO!
Cavalier's channel = Mein Kampf.
Have you decided upon a solution to the Tudor Drama Question and is it a final one? xD
I just saw a trailer for "Firebrand". I'm not sure it will hold my interest.

I smell a whiff of “woke” and I won’t even attempt to watch. Our children are being indoctrinated and becoming weak. I said it.
