Anxiety recovery is most certainly not easy to accomplish BUT it is 100% possible! After 5 long years dealing with serve health anxiety and panic attacks I have fully recovered.
For most of my time dealing with anxiety, it was the physical symptoms of stress that seemed to keep me in the anxiety loop. I wasn’t able to think about anything else and would focus on every sensation in my body, no matter how miniscule it was. This extreme focus on a sensation lead to me blowing it completely out of proportion. What began as a small twitch in my chest are would snowball into me believing that I was having heart issues. Twitches now were suddenly a sign of ALS or other neurological diseases.
Of course I was always aware that anxiety could be the reason for e experiencing all of this but somehow couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that something mental could present itself in such a physical way. So anxiety was always lingering in the back of my mind but I couldn’t really get to terms with it.
That is how I rushed from one doctors appointment to the next and how I ended up diagnosing myself with every illness imaginable.
Between the visits I did follow some of the advice I found on anxiety website, forums and videos but nothing really worked. I am talking breathing exercises, positive affirmations, meditation and all these things…. Nothing really stuck or brought on any real improvements. I still kept them in my routine but was still highly anxious.
Everything changed however, after I made up my mind that I have tried everything imaginable to get to the bottom of this with no success.
I had enough of being this tired and fragile human and wanted to transform my life. Set myself healthy milestones like building up 10 pounds of muscles, sleeping on time and getting up early. All of my goals had one thing in common. They all were aimed at being a consistent, well-organized and fit person. Coincidentally these were all traits that would drastically lower stress. Over time I could feel the changes happening mentally and physically. Symptoms didn’t bother me that much anymore. Talking myself down from a panic attack was finally possible and I gained so much momentum and motivation to improve other aspecs of my life (how this channel came to life 😊 ! )
What I am trying to say is, that for complete recovery from anxiety and panic disorders, you should never focus on finding a solution or a cure to your stress symptoms. You will need to understand that the symptoms are just a byproduct of your anxiety. THEY ARE NOT THE CAUSE FOR YOUR ANXIETY.
Don’t spend all your time to figure out how to find symptom relief but dedicate yourself to working on actions that are proven to lower overall stress.
Hopefully you will feel more at ease and can concentrate on the more important parts of anxiety recovery. Which I describe in more detail here in this playlist:

I was feeling weak, fragile and sick for a couple of weeks, and was constantly thinking if it was something serious or anxiety. So I decides to test out my body. I went on a 250km biking trip for 3 days. It all went great. Now, whenever i feel anxious, witch i still very much do, i remember that trip, and how my body is actually well. Exercise gives you confidence in yourself and in your health, cleans your body and distrats you from the anxious thoughts. It's a very good therapy, I advise it to everyone. Be brave, take risks, don't fall into your own head, i know it's hard, but try it out, in small steps if you must, and be patient.
Good advice
Good advice.. However In my case I ended up overtrained.. Ended up on folate deficiency because I've cut all Carbs and sugar from my diet. So I screwed up everything and now I'm still on a big mess

Thanks. I also found the small book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety", by Harper Daniels, to be a good resource.
Thanks for all of this.
The mistake that I made was meeting someone. So consumed with the relationship but I forgot all about my anxiety. Which was great, until we broke up. Then it was an endless cycle of trying to get them back since my anxiety came back instantly without them. So learn to do it on your own don’t rely on a person
Awesome advice! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and tips.
I focused too much on the problems of my partner. That is where the nightmare began. Five months later, here I am. It's really hard.

Thanks man, I have never related to a video this much in my life. I have had some good weeks the last couple of weeks, but a couple days ago I got dizzy/ringing ears/numb feeling, out of nothing, so I freaked out again. I just can't let the thought go that I'm physically ill, but I try my best to stay positve and thinking it's just mental. I'm running everyday, keep a steady sleep schedule, and eat healthy. I just hope it goes away one day, because I'm doing this for 4 weeks now and still I get this weird symptoms, even though I'm not thinking about it at all...
First of all - you implementing these healthy habits is amazing! You have to understand that these things will take time to show an effect. I too dealt with all the symptoms for weeks and months but stuck to it. Not solely because of anxiety but because I wanted to make the most out of this life and dont let anxiety hinder me on this. I am sure you will be able to see things clearly anxiety wise if you continuously work on your overall health and also continue to work on other aspects of your life that you want to achieve

I back what you are saying about working out and eating healthy 100% No it isn't the cure all but it creates a different path for your brain. Every few days I'll get some waves of anxiety after my workout is done, but I am now able to observe my physical sensations without spiraling. Most days I feel like a badass and my anxiety just disappears.
That is amazing! Yes, it is the perfect anxiety relief tool
Keep taking care of yourself..you will recover
Man, aside from the timescale, which mine is much smaller, I basically felt 100% represented in this video!
It made me realize that although anxiety consumes my energy and makes me want to sleep all day so I don't feel the symptoms or hear the negative thoughts or fear, that I have to think about my recovery in a more serious way and be more active in this process.
Thank you very much and continue with this incredible work
I have to agree with you. I started working out at the gym and I’ve noticed that my anxiety is slowly going down and symptoms are starting to disappear.

I think I’ve been a hypochondriac all my life. Looking back there have been times over the last 40+ years where I thought I’d cancer, AIDS, brain tumor, MS, Parkinsons, heart issues, leukemia, stroke, brain hemorrhage, etc, etc. Always the worst case scenario. It was in early 2014 it went booom and I landed on planter anxiety.
Definitely found the video helpful. I usually only watch videos from a channel called therapy in a nutshell. It’s run by a licensed therapist of some sort. But I found your videos today very helpful in the sense that they are very relatable. I don’t think I’m quite at the peak of anxiety that you were experiencing, but that also helped me realize that it’s not as bad as it could be. A lot of the things you tried I have tried and I am trying, but yes I realize that battling your anxiety is good, but really the only way to do that is by taking care of your body putting yourself in a good environment, surrounding yourself by positive people who bring you up instead of pull you down. I appreciate the videos, I have followed and liked videos I’ve watched so far and will continue looking out for a new videos. Thanks
I always was seeking reassuring answers. Now I don't that much anymore! These videos motivate me.
Reach a state of mind where nothing disturbs you. There is a solution to every problem if there is a desire and determination. . For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-15 minutes. What is important is to be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach a stage of equanimity. Do twice daily or as per your convenience. This could be life-transforming if you desire change. Take charge of your life. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.
it might sound stupid but how long will it take to start seeing results? like for me i'm so scared of my anxiety that this gives me anxiety and everytime i feel like something works and my anxiety comes back i feel like this doesn't work for me but like i know that flashbacks are normal in the way of recovery but it would still be reassuring if someone told me yo you need to do that for 2 months and you will see results or something... maybe it's just a placebo but i feel like it could help...

I was doing fine a month ago and have come such a long way since my anxiety disorder started but this is the biggest setback thus far.
As I’m typing and watching your video, I came to the part that “so many of you are focusing on one symptom”. I realize I just did that 😣
First of all thank you for your kind words :)
Yes, thats exactly the thing with anxiety. We can do great for a while but then seemingly out of nowhere we get that one symptom we never had before or is just scary enough to bring us back into the worry loop. Its hard, i know, but ultimately you will have to working on positive habits even when facing these symptoms. It doesnt work the otger way around. Waiting for symptoms to stop to then work on anxiety isnt going to happen
@@ImprovementPath thank you, this new one started about a month ago now for me and I believe my horrible diet, insomnia and poor lifestyle habits bought it on. Additionally, it happened during an important board exam, that really triggered it due to stress and a compilation of all those things bought it on.
The weird thing is, I don’t feel anxious but have the symptoms or sensations if you will. Its like my mind is hyperaware. Seems like the subconscious is trying to tell me something to make some serious lifestyle changes. Exposure therapy has worked so well for me but I really underestimated yoga, meditation, working out and eating right. Finally caught up.
Find it crazy how people with anxiety are able to exercise. Praying I’ll get to that stage soon.

I feel bad for you, i have many things that you have, but things like that many doctors, not believing them and wanting that emergency button was never on my list of things that i were/do right now/will have or wanting, i were thinking that i have the worst thing that exists, but you were at that bad situation and got out of it, so i think i will do it to!
I’m 4K deep in medical bills because of this same stuff, I’m better now but I still have at least one panic attack every few days but these videos helped me tremendously and I’m still working on it, trying to do it naturally no meds but I did need small doses of Ativan last year and very rarely now I just take the adrenaline rush and try to mentally fight it off. What doesn’t help is I work an extremely stressful restaurant management job that is a 1hr 20 minute drive one way twice daily 5 days a week and I have to bust my ass it’s miserable and tiring which adds to the physical and mental stress 😫
Take vit b1 and d3 to calm you down. It is really helpful! Practice deep breathing!

QUIT CAFFEINE PEOPLE! Seriously, just do it. I spent 6 years drinking stress in a cup that raised my daily anxiety level. You’re poisoning yourself with more anxiety.
Does this sound familiar? This can’t be just my ANXIETY. If I’m experiencing this particular symptom and nobody else with anxiety experiences this then there must be something physically WRONG!!
And then you spend hours just digging deep to find someone who has something same or at least very very similar. Been there

I've got some long-term stomach issues - mainly increased sensitivity - due to a lot of anxiety over the years. I sometimes catch myself blaming my stomach for the anxiety because I am fearful of aggravating it further. I have to remind myself that it is the anxiety and caused the stomach issues, and not the other way around. I had anxiety long before the stomach sensitivity began.

My anxity are very bad at night .......... can't sleep sensesion form no way just pop up in my head I need lots of help ..😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yes, sleep problems when dealing with anxiety is a big one! It was very difficult to fix it BUT was also one of the first symptoms/side effects that vanished. Something that helped me tremendously was just giving up on sleep. We tend to want to force ourselves to fall asleep because we are afraid that anxiety will get worse the next day. So what I did was just get out of bed and do something productive like tidying up my desk or organizing smth. Not going to lie there were a lot of sleepless nights but after a while i lesrned that i would still be able to function even without the sleep. Becauss of this my insomnia gradually improved
Sleeping time can be a scary thing. We are afraid that we cannot fell asleep. I was not able to sleep well like 4 months. I was a good sleeper. I used to fall a sleep within 1 or 2 min. Imagine, at the peak of my anxiety, it took me 3 hours to fall a sleep!
I hope you feel better

Ironically, one of my biggest anxieties is working out. I always think that I’m doing it too hard and I’m gonna have a heart attack or pass out even if I do a very mild work out. It’s also subconsciously very good because the healthier we are the less likely we are to have certain health problems if that helps too.
If the symptoms weren't the root of your anxiety. What was? This is the first year I've finally admitted it is just anxiety. But what is causing my anxiety if not the symptkms?
I had this same question, I started therapy and began turning back to clock and trying to figure out when my anxiety began and most importantly why. I managed to find the trigger, my therapist tells me that once your brain has been triggered it will always search for that danger, so the route is installed deep into your brain from a past trauma. Of course this is all personal to you, but even though you mate feel fine at the time, subconsciously your brain is looking for danger due to the past trauma (trigger)
Carrying on from my previous comment, just knowing all of this helped me with my recovery, you are not crazy! You are not losing your mind, this is just a disorder and with the correct management it can be and will be over come (:

I’ve been dealing with anxiety for the past few months and watching your videos have helped me a lot. I do have a question though because I’m a little confused. Towards the end of the video you say that the symptoms are not the root of your anxiety, but isn’t anxiety the root of most of the symptoms? Correct me if I’m wrong haha I’m a little confused😅
well its more of a mental thing, like a prior issue of deep rooted trauma. for me, it was catastrophizing and just a general fear of death, i found this out on my own, my mom died when i was 8, she died in a car accident and since then, i started thinking about every single situation as the worst will happen, since that day i felt like the worst would happen even if it doesn't, i felt justified because i was "prepared" i was "ready", something like that.
How do you stop worrying it's not something horribly bad or another illness? I went to an idiot doctor who misdiagnosed me with something horrid, only for me to freak out and wait 2 months to get a more intense scan to rule it out. How do you function with a rocking dizziness? I am so fed up with it. I've never experienced this in my life, and after three Ents, multiple tests, etc., I still can't get over the fear or illness
Hey, I relate to this a lot right now - have had that dizziness/off balance feeling for almost 3 months now, has been improving a lot recently but I of course have been convincing myself it’s either multiple sclerosis, brain tumour, cancer, you name it I’ve told myself I’ve got it haha, currently getting my heart tested but I don’t think that’s the issue at all, did you manage to get over it? My symptoms all started ever since I had an anxiety attack one night, never had one before so I think it could be anxiety
How do you feel now? Do you still feel dizzy? I feel dizzy too
I am scared to work out cause sweating makes me more anxious how can i tackle this
I know what you mean cuz my doctor said to look out for sweating if i thought i was having a heart attack but the truth is, you have to sweat when you work out. If your heart is healthy and you have had tests done then sweating and getting your heart rate will not trigger anything.
awesone thank you

@@NattyBabesBudgets I’ve recently started watching his videos. Thank you very much ❤️ I hope nothing but the best for you
@@NattyBabesBudgets how did you deal with it?
@@samantharosas6872 I began watching many videos and view comments I started to feel less alone that's not necessarily what helped me tho my biggest anxiety symptom was my throat I eventually just started eating again and had to have a "if I choke I choke" type of attitude then I started drinking water with every meal which I do now, I also distractioned myself with my music and did things I like like draw, crossword puzzles, etc and slowly taking little bites of food I eat regular bites but much slower and I drink literally after every bite bc of how slow the food goes down my throat, you need to reassure yourself YOH WILL BE OKAY even pray everyday about it although I am not longer anxious my throat is still acting funny I actually think it might be a underlying condition causing it but enough about me just do things you like eat little bites always have water with you and try to exercise I only did it like twice (lol) but it helped a little (sorry this was so lengthy) but you'll get over this!!💛
I have anxiety I mean I’m pretty sure I’m really young I’m 13 and I’m scared to go to the doctors so I’m trying to cure it naturally
Does this work with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Adjustment DIsorder)???
Yes, I would say its also a good technique for GAD
Can anxiety make your whole body ache? Like my skin hurts from beeing touched. My legs hurts when wearing pants..
Im so tired and feel sick. Constant chest pain aswell, feels like my heart is stiff or something. Its so painful in my whole body.
Definitely! I talk about exactly those symptoms in some of my videos. The sensitive and burnin skin to touch sensation was something that took me a long time to accept.
I hope you feel better
I didn’t know the skin thing was anxiety. I have it randomly and it is very painful
How is your heart beat...Is it over 100 beat per second. If it is, it is definitely anxiety... How about your jaw? Do you have pain due to grinding of your teeth during your sleep. You need to sort out what made you scare!
IF 100% recovery possible then why do doctors and therapist always say you can only cope and that too with medicines.
You are the best
Ha not sure about that but thank you 🙏
@@ImprovementPath you are man. These videos are helping A LOT of people. It helped me so much getting over anxiety. Thanks man.
dizziness ans vertigo are my main setbacks. They bring me back to sqaure one. The feeling of dizziness imbalance fear of fainting is really hard to accept. I keep searching for them and recently got to know that it could be due to low b12 levels. Now woth this new diagnosis I am further more anxious now.
How do you guys deal with dizziness amd imbalance feeling and rule out that all these are due to anxiety only.
please reply guys
Do you ears feel clogged too?
@@adeebakhan6326 no..dint notice that
@@agastya8006 oh.
My ears are always clogged just because of that i get dizzy. Pressure in my ears keep changing and it feels like im going to faint or my head is going to explode with that pressure
@@adeebakhan6326 do u notice any triggers for it? or is it completely out of the blue
@@agastya8006 most if the times it is out of blue. And neck stiffness triggers it
Did you also experience swelling muscles? Specifically in the legs?
Swelling muscle is NOT anxiety symptom. Go to a doctor, it is a heart problem.
@@rothschildianum I've already reported you to the police, they'll be tracking your location and it also turns out that you have a criminal record.

How did you deal with hypertension
Ianxiety related hypertension will lower once you lower the stress. It is important to stop measuring or else this obsesdion over the leves in itself will be a cause of stress.
@Hew Jarsol mine also the same....just check at home once a week or month....if its normal them fine...Can't reduce white coat syndrome once developed

I thought I need a husband!! Some stability, company, feeling alone
You never really talk about the REAL impact of this anxiety to body. After awhile, the anxiety will cause bad impact to our body. Of course, it does not cause the real sickness that we thought we had, but it really affect the well being of our body such as leaky gut, etc. I think your viewer need to realize that. If they realize about this, it will be easier for them to ignore the symptoms and correct the problems. By the way, I am a big fan of yours, just now, your talk needs to be more inclusive to the real physical impact, it is not just in our brain.
Hey there, I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to help others. I know you are a regular watcher of the videos as I see a lot of comments from you :)
I would never say that symptoms and effects of anxiety are only in the mind. They definitely are not. Ive experienced it and know how painful and disturbing symptoms can be. I dont think I ever said that the things we feel are just made up in our thoughts (at least i hope not as I myself would be pretty upset about a statement like that. PS thats one of the comments from family and friends that i mentioned in this video). What I want to say is that there really are changes happening to our body, some small and some big but our stressed out mind tends to catastrophize these sensations.
When I say i was worried about heart attacks it is because i did have real chest pressure, the twitches i hsd were there and not made up but the negative and often catastrophic thinking was definitely from anxiety.

Im 10 years old and my panic attack started when i was like 6-7 years old right now i feel like im about to faint and i cant even sleep at night, but i can music and make me relax right now im kinda fine but its midnight so i guess anxienty is gonna strike again when i sleep. And i just got a nightmare because of it and i decided to sleep again, but i cant the nightmare still kept going and soon i rolled in the bed (it was morning) and i went downstairs i saw my mom cleaning and she said "drink hot water so youll be better" (it actually works for some reason) and its super annoying like i cant even sleep because i keep thinking about that stupid dream its like my brain is trying to scare me. And also my vision sometimes kinda like blurrs and it makes me do scared
