When Zack and Ari set out to recreate the mini bike road trip from “Dumb and Dumber,” they knew getting hold of the original movie bike wasn’t an option. So they decided to build a replica.

You should put the bike on auction for charity! I bet you could rise a nice penny for a good cause... Just an idea :)
Hi sir am from India, I wanna ride all over my country but only problem is money , my dream is rider from my age of 20 but know am 30 nothing to do about my dream because we are middle class people.
They are so happily ignorant of the suffering that is to come.
Suffering with a smile the entire time!
And thay did it :)
Nice job dudes! I'm the dude that restored the original movie bike in the picture you're using!
That's my moldy green fence, lol.
Still can't believe you guys rode this thing for that far!
My ass hurts just thinking about it!
you should make a video on it
This whole thing was so dumb. You guys are a true treasure for the community.
Lengthened chassis...kinda makes it a Hayabusa.
Just needs a turbo now
And 360 rear tire
BUSA BABY
Hm so the nobby tires kind of make it a dual sport?
Yammie noobs!
You guys continue to be among the best motorcycle content on youtube. You cover topics that are beyond selling or salivating over "new" bikes (which are often older versions in fancy dress) and really speak to people who are interested in enjoying bikes.
Thank you very much for your consistent, high-quality efforts, and thanks for not taking life too seriously!
Agreed completely! I still ride MX bikes from the 1980’s BUT…mini bikes like this & those fun times as a kid were/are priceless! This is some seriously funny shit! These guys are really good too!
"I like that the bell rings itself!" as it's violently shaking just idling ... hahaha LOL!
So when Does the Zack, Ari, and Ryan F9 Netflix show come out?
I was thinking the same thing. Those 3 guys are the best!
The guy who built the original mini bike for dumb and dumber is named Gordy. He’s a super cool guy and has done work for a lot of movies. I was talking with him today, he was telling me about how he built it and then this popped up
Crazy shit man
That guy needs to do a video!! Holy smokes man! Talk him into an interview
This reminds me of being a kid and my friends and I would modify our bicycles in the weirdest ways possible, except most of ours would just come apart mid ride 😂
Ha ha ha, I actually had my bicycle fall completely apart once in mid-air! I rode downhill through my yard as a kid (pedaling faster), jumped my mom’s yard bench built up with increased ramp to launch better…and was left holding the handlebars while I watched the front tire/steering stem drop to the ground below me. The frame and back tire just dropped as well. It was a heck of a crash😂but it was the start of better bicycle mods & a whole new learning curve! Lol
gotta know how to bail!
True definition of "Boys will be boys" :) Good job, lads!
I find more value in this replica because it was faithfully completed and documented at the same time. Then it was actually ridden by two of best in the industry and further documenting the epic journey. Yes! This little bike is better than the original.
You guys have inspired me to do this with my friend. Would be cool to get a bunch of people to do the ride annually with there replica scooters
If you guys want a Discovery Channel gig you gotta argue and throw stuff around the garage more... maybe work in an impossible deadline.
Other than that ;) You guys rocked the mini bike build!
Wearing a whacky hat would help. A weird statue in the garage. Grow a beard and one of you wear sunglasses all the time. Gotta make it swaggier. A "spontaneous" staged prank or two.
I had a Mimi bike in 1970 when I was 10, a 3 1/2 hp. Briggs and Stratton engine, lol, I had a blast driving around the roads in my town, mostly quiet roads but still a lot of fun.
I watched that trip and it was hilarious lol. I hope they release a outtake and follies from it.
Dude id totally buy one if these were re produced! Make it happen, luv from Australia
I’d buy one too
Props... less for the build, than the 'ride'! I'll NEVER complain after a long day of riding again. EVER!!
Finally two ( VERY DOWN TO EARTH ) , “UA-cam videos.” That were worth both watching over and over….! Thank you…🙏🏻
Professor Jeff Galey 🎶🎸🎻🪕🎹🎓🎼
Your trip to Aspen was the best video I’ve seen in years. To the entire RevZila crew, *Great Job!*
Need to see where this sits on the Daily Rider leader-board!
That is now done too. No spoilers here :)
The likely reason it was running rich to begin with in the actual trip was you rejetted the carb but didn't get a higher flow filter and exhaust, so it made it that much richer when the elevation increased.
In regards to the ubiquitous Predator 212cc engine that was used, the rated power on those is 6.5HP. With a few easy performance mods, that can be doubled.
The video of the trip was one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen on UA-cam. Well done guys.
Someone should turn this into a annual charity run with same rules you guys used. I'd be tempted to get a dumb friend to join me if it ever happens. 😁
I would totally join in on that.
Loved the fact you used a predator!!!!
I have that same motor in my 1961 Cushman. Via the centrifical clutch, I can cruise around 35 mph. She weighs 297 lbs.. The engine is a gas hog. 11 miles to that tank. Still a kick to drive. Cheers !
Just installed a 212cc with CVT in an old doodlebug. I installed the engine on a 1/2" rubber mat (in an attempt to tame the vibes) and two 1" rails for clearing the CVT. The factory gas cap would not clear, but I found extremely low profile gas caps on Amazon and those worked. So, if you are doing this, try a low profile cap before buying a tank as the cylindrical tanks be pricy.
It's a tribute build that's within the reach of most do it yourself types! My brother and I may have to try this on our channel. Although I don't think the kit would support both he and I on the bike lol as combined we're over 500 pounds, lol. But I just subbed to your channel. Going to check out more tomorrow. I did come over off of the actual ride video.
You always left me satisfied and smiling .
That’s what she said!
A couple of my friends had some pretty cool Tecumseh Mini bikes when I was a kid, but one of my friends had one that looked just like that. Even as a 10 yr old I knew it was ugly. I think his dad must have bought one of those kits and built that thing. Nice to know ..Thanks!
Much better, than just testing bikes build by factories for the masses. It faves a lot of value to the channel. Thank, and keep up the creativity!
Congratulations Ari and Zack! After all the dumb…err, fun…things I’ve watched you do, y’all finally went viral! Well deserved. Side note, Revzilla, you should consider giving them a show called “From A to Z”
After watching the original video my wife and I sat down and watched it together. You guys had us laughing about as hard as the actual movie, it was seriously great. Thanks for the laughs!
It was certainly an entertaining video. This one and the actual ride. Can't wait to see what you guys cook up next.
When Lemmy left Revzilla, I was upset. He was a cool guy.
When you guys joined I had never heard about you two, but man have I grown to love you guys.
Consider this as a review Zack, as I couldn’t find Apple Itunes anywhere on my iphone?
Thanks for sharing how you made it !
Gotta love things like this!! Loved watching the trip on the thing!
Thank you for the build video! Makes the success of the ride even better.
The frame is like 5 scooters for mine same length though looks AWESOME thanks
Thank you UA-cam Recommended for sending me here. You guys are awesome, and have more then earned a sub.
I'm amazed this little machine made the 400 mile trip, and over the Rocky mountains!
I REALLY want 1 of these now that I've seen how well it held up! Amazing job guys!
I wonder if they've ever smiled as much on another first ride?
I noticed that as well... lol
This was awesome, thanks guys. I read the article earlier and was hoping you’d do a video.
Absolutely mad lads. Cheers
I was waiting for this! - All the way from Kenya - East Africa.
they're so underrated
Almost a million followers, enough of the underrated comments already. Just sounds dumb at this point.
Man.. i want this bike so much..
SAME!!
That Dump and Dumper episode is epic recreation 👍👍👍
Great video and that adventure was awesome. Thanks for all your hard work. I would love to see a video on a complete go over of the bike after the trip. Show all the wear and stuff. I really like studying that stuff. Thanks
I just started watching these guys and they have great content love when there exploring that’s pretty cool .
Having grown up in the minibike era, almost every bike maker used this design or a minor variant of it for their bikes. Changes were made to accommodate front and/or rear suspension, the Comet torque-converter drive (which your bike had, and without which you'd have never completed the trip!), fenders and other things. I had a Fox Trail Tramp with two-speed transmission and several other bikes - Honda Mini-Trail included - but my pals had Rupp, J.C. Penney, Honda and other brands. Other than the Honda, I don't think we had two of the same brand in our "gang", as there were tons of makers in those days. Now, with the absence of places to ride and more suburbs being built-up, there are fewer makers around, though those that still exist make products better than what was available back in the 70s.
My buddy had a Rupp. Tough bike. I had a Grand Prix, Under powered with only a 3 HP, but had front and rear suspension. The best was the 165 Harley 2 cycle single cylinder with a springer front end, rope start (wrap around rope, not a recoil) and a belt drive torque converter like a snowmobile. I tried to look it up, and the only rope start Harley was the "Topper" scooter, but they all had Recoil start and Front Leading Link suspension, and not a Springer. This had no fairings. I'm guessing it was from the 40's or 50's and probably worth a few bucks now. We took the front end off and made a trike and threw the rest away. Another buddy had a Honda 150 Dream. I think the best was the Honda Mini Trail though. Even those came in different models. One was a 50cc 3 speed, no hand clutch and another was a Honda 70cc 4 speed with a hand clutch. Another buddy had a Honda 90cc step through. I graduated from the mini bike to a Yamaha 80cc road bike.
Oh the good ole days....
Hi Ari, can you please do a video on how to work on upside down forks? I'm getting a T7 and have no experience with this type. Thank you, love your videos!
Excellent video.
In addition you outdid yourselves with the roadtrip video which follows.
With this being shared, if you were going to build another minibike for a follow up trip, what improvements would you make?
Re: comfort, handling, performance, reliability mileage etc etc etc.
I remember back in the days you could order one of these from a Sears catalog.
Nice work gentleman.Looks like fun!
Best road trip ever!
Super good build, hope you guys do a few more fun projects like this 👍
Good clean man fun. Some of the best fun there is
Excellent! In fact you add more power by using 200cc instrad of 125 cc engine.
AND IF YOU DIDN'T WATCH THE RIDE IT WAS PURE GOLD.
The video of the ride was hilarious! Thank you! 😂
Such a cool episode
Shared the video of your trip to my bike group we had a blast watching it. It was so fun to watch! As fun as your Honda Monkey trip. Keep it up! 😁👍
I would love the one from Nacho Libre!
You guys are awesome keep up the good work what a trip love to try something like that
Legendary guys, legendary!
I dont know all the ins and outs, but it looks like you guys have a really fun job.
That inspired me to build a mini bike my self the one on the Joe cool tee shirt I have witch is actually a chopper
So when's the Daily Rider review?
It's coming!
@@AriH211 how did you manage to register it?
@@av.nedelcu5910 very carefully of course
@@AriH211 Awesome!
nice job on that engine
Absolute unit
That’s crazy the original one went for $50k! 😧
Awesome!!!! Keep up the amazing work!
Nice build, I'm sure it'll have a worthy place in the HQ somewhere.
0:53 - "400 pounds of man meat" sounds like another kind of SM.
I thought I was hearing things at first. I was picturing a pallet of dildos. It was horrible.
This was awesome! Thanks
OMBwarehouse In the house!
That’s a fun project bike
I still can't believe you guys actually fkn did this! ballsy, bros, ballsy.
This is fantastic
Thanks guys, I now feel so much better about all the stupid sh*t I’ve concocted.
That video was a new classic, I was laughing so hard because I would totally be up do something like this.
You have to love the training wheels.
holy shit so this is better than the trail 90 or modern 125 nice cool
More videos like this!
You two freakin rock.🎸 hope you enjoyed California.
Off topic but is the behind you cement or a plaster job? It’s a fantastic background. I am going to light grey/gray plaster my shop walls now. Looks fantastic with any lighting color/colour.
It's a drywall wall, but the contractor had them float it with actual concrete (with some sort of reinforcing agent), and it looks great!
If only we could do this in U.K....looks like a huge amount of laughs we are to bloody taken down by rules ......long live the eventual Republic.......!
God I would hate to live in the U .K .
Riding a minibike powered by the movie acurate engine which im assuming is a tecumseh. Although a 212 it would be SOOOO much better given that it has much more torque. Also guys as an a recomendation if anyone wants to bump up compression and such on that model of predator get a flat top piston a thicker head gasket and a + .040 billet rod. Itll get a lot of compression and itll run very well. That version is the non hemi version, the hemi version would have been better for this specific build though cause it does better unmodified but if you wanted to turn it into a race ready engine the non hemi (which is what this is) is the best way to go, its cheaper and can accept many more aftermarket parts
Love it guys 🤝
Like your content, all three of my 30 year olds grew up on this movie and watched several of your shows about the trip.
Thought of you guys when I wondered about something I learned years ago: Anybody that says they laid the bike down to stop in time . . . What if you guys towed a bike on its side and let go of it at a mark and saw just how far a bike on its side slides at 30 mph. Compare dirt and blacktop and concrete maybe. Compare to stopping on the tires which can happen in 20-40 feet. Just a whacky idea for you. I can't see the other "UA-cam instructors" pulling it off.
What was the Arizona registration process like?
I'm wondering how they got a plate for it too. Do you get a title when you buy the kit or is is registered as a custom motorcycle? Cool video!!!
With that port work, did you guys make the rookie mistake of putting a larger main jet in the carb? The fuel drawn into the airstream goes up by the square of airspeed, so if the airspeed in the venturi goes up due to breathing mods, you have to put a smaller jet in it to keep your A/F ratios correct.
Love it!!
You guys should build the Daryl Dixon bike that he builds and rides after he gets to Alexandria in The Walking Dead. Base was a 1992 Honda CB750 Nighthawk
More great content. Subscribed!
You guys are awesome! Keep it up!
The mini-bike in the movie was sold by a department store chain called Montgomery Ward, and I believe they were manufactured by Coleman. My dad bought one for me and my brother around 1975. And I got stopped by the cops on it, I was around 9 years old, my mom was a little upset with me.
