I went visiting the Terminator filming locations.
    blog : onthesetoftermi...
The Terminator is a 1984 science fiction/action film directed and co-written by James Cameron. It features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn. The film was followed by two sequels with a third sequel due out in 2009.
The film takes place in 1984, introducing the concept of a "terminator", specifically the titular character (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a seemingly unstoppable cyborg assassin who has been sent back from the year 2029 by a race of artificially intelligent computer-controlled machines bent on the extermination of the human race. The Terminator's mission is to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) whose future son leads a resistance against the machines. A human, Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), is also sent back from the future to protect her.
The Terminator was a low-budget movie, at roughly $6.5 million, which turned out to be a box-office hit, earning $38,371,200 domestically. The film went on to gross more than $78 million worldwide.

I loved this and have for decades at this point really missed the 80's and early 90's. This make me want to go back really bad.

This is a true work of art, and one of the most underrated, best kept secrets on all of UA-cam. Your immense love of the Terminator series shines through, and the amount of effort you went through compiling and creating this pays off, and then some. Even James Cameron himself would be amazed.

the final fight building location where the tanker exploded is now an LAPD facility. 795 keller st LA. for the exception of a few minor exterior changes, the structure of the building and the door where they go into are exactly the same. after 33 years. crazy. the scene with the machine chasing them down the hallway was something I've never forgotten ever since I saw it as a young child

I just saw this again and I've got to say thanks again - the way that you've overlayed your video with the actual movie (to show the location in the movie and today) is just too awesome.

the gas station is not gone, unless it happened in the last couple years. it was a real gas station. This movie was made in 84 you cant possibly expect it to look the same. its changed with the times and the area around it has grown up as well. However thoat mountain range they show in the end must be at a different location. that's NOT what you see at the gas station

The Tiki Motel was not torn down after it went out of business in 2013, 2 years after this video here was made. It was simply repainted and turned into affordable housing and is now called the "Tiki Apartments". Badass!
