I really do appreciate these type of videos. I rent a one bedroom apartment and find it difficult to find rent friendly items and items that will help with my limited storage space.
The peel and stick blinds are great they work, I bought them at Lowe’s. worth it!
Can you open and close them?
@@wplains yes you can, they have clips to hold the blinds up. I couldn’t decide what curtains I wanted and I had them up for a long time!

I’m not technically a renter but I just moved into my parents basements that they renovated while I’m in school, so as someone with not a lot of money, these recommendations are everything!! Thanks for the great video :)
I’m SO glad I found your channel! I’m moving into a beautiful but small loft without a lot of storage space. My anxiety has been though the roof about designing, storage, lighting, etc; this video has put me at ease! Thanks so much Kristen! You’re a life saver! 😃
We rented for a long time but recently we bought an 1880 Victorian. We for sure still have our uses for Ikea pieces. our house doesn't quite have the storage always that you would want in the 21 century so its nice to add creative storage that doesn't damage the shell. also, in a house full of antiques we have our ikea rooms for kicking back and not worrying you're going to damage something. We love the hemnes daybed both in our apartment and here, we're currently building a play room guest room around it. Also the kallax shelf with the different shaped opens, have ben used as t.v. stands book cases and bedroom furniture both in our old place and here. i really need to add so ikea to our kitchen as we have one awesome wall of storage but not a lot of work space.

I use the suction cup baskets in my bathroom as I have no counter space and the soap holder. I think you’ve got so many great ideas here and there’s a few items I probably would’ve just passed by until you brought it up. So thank you..
And that farlov couch is on my radar
Do the suction cups stay on the wall. I've bought similar ones and they didn't work.
I have used them but after awhile, the suction cup doesn't not hold well any wore
Seems the suction cups worked on the tile in my old apartment but the tub/shower enclosure in the new place doesn’t work as well so far….
Going to scrub it good with vinegar and dry off with rubbing alcohol hopefully it works then

Do they? Is that in the US? Here in Europe and the U.K. we all love it. There can be some snobbery from idiots of course. However most of us know they’re just amazing for the reasons you mention:)

I'm building a rental house and I'm going to have tenants in my house soon its neat to see little ways I can improve my rental to make it more comfortable for my tenants. IKEA is awesome!
I’m using the Tisken basket for some additional storage of my small kitchen appliances. I have a huge cupboard with pull out tray on which I keep my standing mixer, toaster and blender. Above I had plenty of free space so I attached a Tisken shelf to the side to store my hand mixer, scale and coffee grinder. It works PERFECTLY! Fits really nice and store up to 3kg. Highly recommend! :)
I've tried looking thru tons of people's channels and was losing faith I couldn't find what I needed help with until I found your channel. Moving into my first apartment and have found your vids SO helpful. I've watched tons of yours and am enjoying every single one. They're all so I formative and interesting. Renting now and love,living in an apartment bldg. I want to love my closets to maximize space and want to add the slide barn doors to make my space feel like mine. Small kitchen and need organization ideas for storing Pyrex/ cast iron cookware. Wow! You just answered my prayers, ikea kitchen island. I have a small L shaped kitchen. Storage, storage, storage.

Oh my goodness Kristen this video was so perfect and exactly what i needed. My favorite was the window treatment l, never new about that, the mirror was amazing and i was looking into something similar that was 3x that price and the island was awesome. I loved everything you spoke about since I'm moving and those ideas were great. I have been eyeing the Pax system forna long time, i wonder if i can have someone install it. Thanks a ton for this video, eye opener. They really should make you a spokesperson.

I have the Friheten sleeper sofa. I love it. It also has storage for the pillows & blankets when you're not sleeping on it.

I’m going to be moving into a new apartment in summer, and these ideas are great! That mirror is a need, and get rid of my cheap one that just doesn’t work
We bought a house wich must be build, so we have to rent for a year.
And you start with the curtains I bought for this house. Just as you are saying: inexpensive, easy to adjust, easy to place.
We bought the black ones because we use them in the sleeping rooms. They keep the light perfectly outside.
But, using them daily, I miss the pulling up system.
It was only for a year and this week I will re,over them. And I think that will be just as easy as placing them (I hope )
Also used the hooks for our towels and the rod for the shower curtain.

I am in a rental home and about 80% of my furniture is Ikea. I have a brownblack Malm lift up bed with Malm two drawer side tables. Billy shelves. I use a deep Billy bookshelf with doors for a pantry. My guest bedroom has a white Brimnes bed with built in drawers.
