They are the best team money can buy. A far cry from their bankrupt days in the early 2010s. Being forced to sell was the best thing that happened to LA. The new ownership has invested several billion in payroll offering mega deals to every star free agent. Tbh, having only 1 ring during that span is underperforming, but it must be nice to be a Dodger fan. The $tars definitely are lined up and the luxury tax loopholes help too.

I hope that them being so good on the hitting side will allow them to rest or not pressure their pitchers as much to keep them healthy. We're seeing a major push for pitchers to throw more, and throw harder and so many guys are going out because of it. Realistically the only major way to avoid those issues is to just not throw as hard, (not removing the pitch clock or more sticky stuff like some people say). With the dodgers being such a dominant hitting lineup I hope that they can allow their starting lineup to go a bit less crazy on velo through the season, keep themselves healthy and have depth free of injury because of that later in october. This is a team that realistically could have their pitchers throw 90% effort for the entire season and still make the playoffs. It would be interesting to see if doing something like that, perhaps even sacrificing the best record in the league, in order to have a Bullpen and lineup at 100% health come October would be worth it, that's simply not a luxury any other team has but it could work magic in an age where its almost assumed that 1-2 of a teams best pitchers and hitters will be unavailable come postseason.
dodgers have never been a team where velo has been important. brusdar is a beast of human being who effortlessly can throw over 100. the majority of dodgers pitchers have never had velo like that
Unfortunately I agree, the Dodgers are loaded this year and they’re about to get 3-4 top end pitchers back off IL. But staying healthy is their biggest concern. They have a bunch of dudes on that team who are susceptible to injury over the course of a long season. I’m a Padres fan and I never root for injuries but it’s probably gonna happen at some point
the dodgers have been plauged by injuries a lot the last several years and this year it seems like they deserve how hard the entire team has worked. they had no business winning 100 games last year but they did anyways. its dodgers time to good as hell. keep being a padres fan. dodgers want no band wagon fans and never has. the leagues leading attendance team isnt going anywhere.
followed ohtani last year. the alcs walked him constantly. with the dodgers he gets to swing and doesnt have to do more at every at bat. he can just make contact at tough at bats and gets singles as well as his normal doubles and homers
You can tell in game how shocked he is to be on a good team.. dude also looks more relaxed AND if anything, the talent around him is inspiring a healthy level of competition in him to be even better! Add to that, less pressure of having to carry a team, and bro can just go out there and have fun.
thats not likely in all honestly. he got offseason surgery to strengthen his elbow. he literally got a strip of elbow armor surgically installed in his elbow. they call it armor. its unlikely hell just randomly start breaking down after being healthy for the first time in like 5 years hes stated. fans/customers arent always right. they are only right in context of taste.

I agree! I say the same thing about my Braves. Ever since they won the World Series 3 seasons ago, everyone assumes they will just steam roll through the season and walk through the playoffs. That's not how it works. You gotta pace yourself through the season. So, you have enough left in the tank for the playoffs. That's why more and more wild card teams are making it to the World Series. They are forced to peak at the end of the season, then they just ride that wave through the playoffs. When teams like the Dodgers and Braves win their divisions (basically) earlier in the season, it's hard to flip that switch come playoff time.
@markharbaugh4445 absolutely. Atlanta waltzed into the Postseason not having played a meaningful game in a month. That is DEATH. Throw in the bye week on top of that. Honestly, neither Atlanta nor LA should have been favored against Philly/AZ. And neither series was close.

I'm just not a believer. And it's not because I question anything you've said. That's what I need to see from LA before I believe they're a Postseason team.
"I need to see LA grind out Ws in the toughest games against the toughest opponents..." Lol, great analysis! I suppose the Dodgers' modern record of 10 straight postseason appearances (2013-2023) makes them a real crapshoot to bet on making the postseason this season.
I have a gut feeling that it will different this year, as long as the pitching stays not injured during the playoffs Dodgers have a massive chance of winning it all. @@Gestr3482

Honestly , who cares, what other fans say. If other teams ownership would spend the money, they too could be successful as well, and they would not be bitching at all. The Dodgers spend money,, but they also have a fantastic farm system, Smith , Buehler, Pages, Outman, etc. They have also pulled some quality players off the scrap heap, Justin Turner, Max Muncy, Chris Taylor, and Evan Phillips to name a few. Their front office has made smart moves, Betts for Wong, Downs, and Verdugo and then the obvious, spending smart money on fee agents, Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Teoscar. I guess my point is, lots of teams throw money around, the Dodgers throw smart money around. Sure I have been disappointed with their playoff dumpster fire,, that needs to change, but I still love the way the Dodgers have done things over the last ten or eleven years. Bleeding Blue since 1974, actually born into Blue in 1967, but the first thing I truly remember was the 74 series against Oakland

Just the list of stars that have worn that uniform just in thay span is ridiculous. The # all stars, MVPs, and other awards achieved is insane
@wsol80 yea their previous ownership was absolutely decimated the franchise. Gotta realize that their first big free agent signing was mookie in 2020. Prior to that it was ENTIRELY home grown talent, resigning then current players, bargain bin pick ups, and trades. Since then their only big money signings have been Betts, freeman, ohtani, Yama, glasnow, and bauer.
With Ohtani coming back pitching next year 😂😂😂😂
Pitching will be ace
Hitting will be ace
All they need is a dominant closer
The team will be unstoppable
Roki
Phillips is a dominant closer... he is just not talked about enough because A) he is not flashy and B) when the offense scores so much, he doesn't get many save attempts
They are probably going to get Roki Sasaki too, who is actually a better talent than Yamamoto. In fact he might even be the best pitching prospect of all time.
@@johnnyboyjohns2930 not ready for prime time … they are gonna build him up.
They aren’t gonna a put him in the high leverage position in his first year
@@allelujah1210 well, we’re gonna need a lights out closer come playoffs so let’s hope he can deliver.
Remains to be seen
The only thing that really pisses me about my beloved Dodgers is what they did to Trevor Bauer
I don't know if it was the Dodgers alone. MLB dished out the unnecessary suspension.
And Julio Urias
@@markharbaugh4445 both of them.
Bauer I 100 that but Urias… I mean he is great on the mound but beating his wife… I cannot condone that
@@ViruszPlayz.5822 ,,,Urias found guilty. You can tell in the comments who's MAGA
Happens for every team. You just hope it's never a season ending or career ending.
the dodgers have been plauged by injuries a lot the last several years and this year it seems like they deserve how hard the entire team has worked. they had no business winning 100 games last year but they did anyways. its dodgers time to good as hell. keep being a padres fan. dodgers want no band wagon fans and never has. the leagues leading attendance team isnt going anywhere.
Lead the league in everything and still feels like they have lots of issues to work through and figure out.
Cyler Glasnow ✅
I imagining the Dodger fan faces and emotion in Monday Walker Buehler return from the mound since 22 after TJ surgery
Tyler 👍
its tyler glasnow you clown
followed ohtani last year. the alcs walked him constantly. with the dodgers he gets to swing and doesnt have to do more at every at bat. he can just make contact at tough at bats and gets singles as well as his normal doubles and homers
You can tell in game how shocked he is to be on a good team.. dude also looks more relaxed AND if anything, the talent around him is inspiring a healthy level of competition in him to be even better! Add to that, less pressure of having to carry a team, and bro can just go out there and have fun.
Dodgers rule
Glasnow 🔥🔥
The Dodgers didnt avoid Luxury tax with the Ohtani contract, he still counts 35 mil per year against the cap and luxury tax
Pump the brakes... Glassnow will be breaking soon enough! Give him time!
thats not likely in all honestly. he got offseason surgery to strengthen his elbow. he literally got a strip of elbow armor surgically installed in his elbow. they call it armor. its unlikely hell just randomly start breaking down after being healthy for the first time in like 5 years hes stated. fans/customers arent always right. they are only right in context of taste.
Just wait till playoffs 😁
are you one of those idiots that thought they should have gone far with no pitching last year? this year its dodgers time to be good and healthy. what came before isnt a tell of the future.
@@nomercyinc6783 no I’m one of the idiots that laughed at them when they got swept by my team and if they spend millions and millions just to lose again I’m the playoffs would be the icing on the cake 😂
This team is scary. Haven’t even gotten Dustin May back yet.
or consolin. or graterol. so many pieces arent even in place and they are rolling
Nobody said the dodgers wouldn’t be good, it was whether or not they’d show up in the playoffs.
If there is something better than the best, then yeah...they are better than we thought!
I’ll never understand being mad at the Dodgers for spending. I’m mad at my team because they WONT spend.
You are not gonna tell me to “just forget” Yamamotos first start just because of what he has done after, that first start dictates a lot and for a lot of people he will be known for getting knocked around in his first start
the first start was in korea. not in america. so that first start where he got lit up isnt a tell of anything. dudes incredible, one start being bad and the following starts being much better, suggest the first start was a fluke and not the norm. his following starts showed what kind of pitcher he is. your comment in not accurate. fans arent experts on games they dont play. playing baseball as a child doesnt make anyone an expert as an adult
Gavin stone recently had a great outing too
"0:11"
didn't have to worry about the luxury tax.
40+ million dollars a year counts towards that tax.
I’m so glad I didn’t choose the angels
Buehler will not start in the postseason, maybe in relief. Dodgers will play very safe with him coming off TJ. IMO starters will be Glasnow, Yama and Miller. If using 4 starters plug in Kershaw. I just hope our bat will get hot in October
if he starts in the regular season in fuckin may. hell be pitching in october. fan takes are the dumbest takes
They're still Paying luxury tax for Ohtani. You can't defer luxury tax salary, so all 70 million a year still goes against their luxury tax, so in a way they're still paying 40+ million a year for Ohtani.
they are paying ohtani 2 mill a year but the cap hit is still as high as his contract. the money being spent isnt 40 mil a season its 2 mill.
nearly alll teams pay luxury tax. look at the mets. or even worse look at the padres who had to get a fucking loan to pay their employees. the dodgers would never have to get a loan to do anything for any employees. the dodgers arent even the richest team in baseball. they are like 4th
@@nomercyinc6783 yeah I understand that. Ohtanis only making 2 million from the dodgers this year, but I mean the 70 that goes against their cap means they're paying about an additional 40 million in luxury tax relative to what it would be without ohtanis contract.
I'm watching this video 4 days later and they have won 3 more
*110* Screenshot me idc im calling it. *Think Blue!*
Bro they don’t have Buhler, May, Tony The Cat man, Kershaw
Ah dang, Spencer won't be losing another game to the Phillies in the postseason this year.
strider isnt going to do anything at fucking all the rest of this yar and most of next
@@nomercyinc6783 lol barves
Kershaw should be bullpen only.
if they can run paxton out there at 35 theres no fucking reason to run kershaw out their at 35. they pitched rich hill till he was like 40 and he still didnt retire when they released him
so so glad shohei went to the dodgers and not stuck around in that purgatory called the angels. dont be like mike trout there.
Dodgers will win 100+ Games this year: Check! Dodgers will win the National league West:Check! Dodgers will have a first round Bye:Check! Who Cares!! The Dodger season begins in October, and we all know what that means, Disappointment and underachievement! Perhaps we should wait before judging just how good this team is, or could be!
💯 We've seen enough of LA in October to take nothing for granted.
@@markharbaugh4445 Well written and very very true!! Sports fans can impulsive and many times think with their heart! I can also be guilty of that!
@markharbaugh4445 absolutely. Atlanta waltzed into the Postseason not having played a meaningful game in a month. That is DEATH. Throw in the bye week on top of that. Honestly, neither Atlanta nor LA should have been favored against Philly/AZ. And neither series was close.
dodgers have won 100 games or made the world series every season since 2016. dont need to even pay attention to see thats likely
The farm system is now bone dry for the first time in 12 years. If you hate the Dodgers that is one good thing to look forward to
the farm system isnt bone dry at all. not even close. dodgers haters are morons entirely
Also Roki will be here shortly so three Japanese pitchers 😂
This is the Dodgers. You need to wait until the playoffs.
idiots trying to claim theyll just collapse. they havent been healthy in the post season for years and yet still will 100 games or make the world series every season since 2016. other teams arent half that good the last decade
This aged like fine wine
better than we thought? i mean who honestly thought they wouldnt be good? lol
It goes to show how fans can be negative.
I'm just not a believer. And it's not because I question anything you've said. It's that DBacks over Dodgers in last year's NLDS was the easiest call I've ever made in 32 years of religiously watching baseball. I need to see LA grind out Ws in the toughest games against the toughest opponents for the highest stakes the regular season has to offer.
@asuk218able A real Postseason team, I mean. Not just a team that makes it there, but a team that does damage when they get there.
They just swept the Braves. I know its still early but this sweep is a huge series win
What a loser.
I have a gut feeling that it will different this year, as long as the pitching stays not injured during the playoffs Dodgers have a massive chance of winning it all. @@Gestr3482
the dodgers team dr is the best surgeon in the country... glasnow was reevaluated by him and is in good hands
Sho asked for deferred money not the dodgers 0:13
They lure the best talent away from other teams because they're given the money to do so. Two words...Freddie Freeman. 🤷♀️
freeman isnt why players from other teams went to the dodgers in the offseason. ohtani is. ohtani betts will smith kershaw freeman were all in the yoshi meeting. theres a reason they gave will smith 100 million and 10 years. smith is one of the best catchers in the game. either league
Still can be beaten by a wild card team in first round. Baseball playoff is stupid
unless its playoffs
We’ll see how they perform in the playoffs…lol
expecting an injured team to play well in the playoffs missing their best pitching is dumb as hell. fans are so dumb with their opinions and takes
dodger fans are over here tehehing lol
Ignorant mob is losing the sight yet again. It’s amazing. Doesn’t matter if the Dodgers are better than you thought or I thought. I can care less if they win every single game from here. Last time I checked, West division title is not WS ring. Unreal
lets see when it comes this post season when the dodgers are healthy and nearly at full strength. dodgers are scary as fuck for every team. nobody who thinks az is going to do anything this year is thinking clearly or intelligently. az last year was no different than the giants winning 107 games and then getting knocked out of the playoffs. dodgers haters are fucking morons. dodgers never did anything to anyones team in the last 30 fuckin years. get the fuck over it
Don't ever show Freddie Freeman trying to shake his hips again. Ugh.
I won’t lie I was originally one of the ones who thought Yamamoto was bad mainly because the first few games he pitched and lost cost me my parleys on draftkings
betting on games is idiot shit. not smart. willingly throwing money away at bets is stupid. not intelligent. his first start was in korea. not america. his first start he didnt get smacked around. one start and then multiple dominant outings including 8 innings pitched his last start suggests people that think that one bad start was how hell be are incorrect. fans arent experts on sports tehy never played
@@nomercyinc6783 bettings won me over $500 lol yeah it was just a bad start but after being hyped up and having a terrible start of course people were gonna think he was trash
All the dodgers have to do to ensure they make it through the playoffs is to get rid of Kershaw.
Don't get rid of him. He can eat some innings in the regular season when he gets healthy to help keep the top arms healthy for the playoffs. But, as you mentioned: do not put him on the playoff roster!
Check that, as an opposing teams fan: put him on the roster!
considering he got major surgery this year and he isnt needed to be an ace. hes bottom of the rotation now. if paxton can be good at 35 theres nothing suggesting kershaw at 35 cant be decent too. fan takes are dumb ass takes. keyboard warriors arent experts on anything in pro sports at all. nobody is an expert on shit they never did
yamamoto is a bust he is gonna give up like 10 runs per game in the playoffs.
after going 8 innings giving up one run on the first pitch of the game? fans arent experts on sports they never played. if you werent pro your opinion on players in not ever going to be accurate.
Overrated since 1988
just like your entire existence. overrated since 1988? thats dumb as fuck. they win in 88 and not again until 2020 and they are overrated? best team in the regular season still matters. they are also going to be more healthy this year than last. dodgers haters are idiots who got missed by covid entirely. bet your mom would get on her knees for any dodger
Dodgers fans are so unbelievably spoiled. Enjoy your money ride.
The organization knows how to make a contender. They will never run out of money. And if they keep using this formula for putting together a team, the ride won't end for quite some time...

They will win this year!!!! Cope
dodgers arent the richest team in baseball. they arent even top 2 in richest teams. thats the yankees and mets and padres. the dodgers dont have the highest payroll in baseball not even close.
Dodgers suck
tell that to your mom. who i saw on her knees in their dugout last game
Many teams can pay a billion dollars to have a baseball team. So unfair could be considered an understatement.
If many teams can, then it is not "unfair". Owners unwilling to pay is not unfair.
too bad they arent paying a billion dollars and arent going to be for ten fucking years. learn the damn contract before making idiotic comments that make you look stupid. they are paying ohtani 2 mill the next ten years each year. they arent paying 700 mill until ten years from now. ignorant comments are fucking moronic
We’re a 2 months in. They will take a shit when it matters. Happens every year.
yeah. when they are injured. if they arent injured this year where it matters they wont collapse like they were expected to long before the post season. the team last year had no business winning 100 games and nobody expected them to win the ws. fan takes are idiot takes.
loving the team but in the end no ones gonna acknowledge our success even if we win, with this roster
Bleeding Blue since 1974, actually born into Blue in 1967, but the first thing I truly remember was the 74 series against Oakland
the universal dodger hate for them being good the last decade is moronic. every year when the dodgers do good things haters always say its invalid. if haters can say the dodgers winning is invalid that can be said for any fucking team that wins after spending money in the offseason. dodger haters are ignorant fucking idiots
