Such an awesome custom Jason. I loved Majorette as a kid because the usually featured cars that I would see on the roads rather than some of the more eccentric stuff that Matchbox were releasing at the time.
This is a beautifully done custom! Even if it is not a 4 wheel drive the tires look great and I especially like the detailing of the fishing gear. Thanks for sharing this.
Just opened YT and this was posted '32 seconds ago'. Fantastic job on the Toyota. I really like the black trim around the headlights and the details in the interior are a nice touch. The color scheme is rad too, it works so well on boxy 80's cars. I like how your videos are edited, the background info on the diecast models and the actual cars is always interesting! You've inspired me to do a first restoration myself: on a Edocar Peugeot 205 (yellow). Right now I've disassembled the body, but still have to make a decision of the color. I own a Peugeot 205 since 2015 actually, a forest green 205 Automatic from 1994. By the way, that Australian Toyota ad at the end was wild!
Little suggestion. When you have some paint chips on raised areas, like on the rain gutters of the truck, you should spray a little bit of paint in a container then use a toothpick to fix those chips. Else, it's a really cool truck. I hope to get my hands on one at one point.
Very nice work! Some extra paintwork highlighting the details, lifts these diecasts from toys to scale model in appearence. I still see the occasional Lite Ace on the road - though a rare sight now.
I've only recently acquired a few of these older Majorette models and I'm very impressed with their quality. The ones I've looked at seem to have quite thick metal, probably the strongest base I've seen. And the details are good too.
It also was the base for the Space Cruiser luxury van, which in America went under the dull Toyota Van name. It featured twin electric sunroifs and electric front windows as standard
great work. :) love the colours, and the wheels look so close to typical chromed offroad truck wheels, impossible to pass. :) and those Majorette interiors just demand to be detailed further! (why did they do the steering wheel as a flat disc? had to cut corners, I guess.)
Very nice custom. The new coloscheme looks awesome. only the black trim looks a bit rough. The detailing of the interieur is awesome too. At last, your introvolume is way to loud. It's unbearable with headphones on!

Great to hear you’re giving it a go for yourself. You never stop learning and improving. Best of luck with your 205, I’d love to see the result!

i have this model, and because of its proportions...yes it should be the 4WD. great job
Awesome job Jason I love the 80's vibe! I really been enjoying your custom detailing on the older castings they all look beautiful. Cheers from NJ USA
Nice! I had the same blue one when I was young.

Nice one Jason.

Keep er lit ya boy. ye
Awesome job on this custom
Nicely done Jason , great job 👏 👍
It turned out very nice!
Mine was clearly a 1986 version. Never really saw all that fishing gear in it... Nice mods and extra + for The Stranglers! 😉
The moment I saw this I was like "wait, wait, wait I have the eagle one my uncle gave me, I'm so happy to see this"
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👌 👍
Super restauration 👍👍👍
Looks ace! We need more dodgy 1980s/70s song references in future
Good job!
