Let's just accept that Cory screwed up a little there, a mistake that he already tried to solve in Ghost of Sparta, that or that Kratos never really cared to discover that, it doesn't matter to him, he was already beginning to have his doubts with Zeus before, when he was his slave for 10 years.
It's interesting that Ghost of Sparta combined the "Kratos looking for his mom" and "Kratos looking for his bro" except the first story is about Kratos looking for his mom to know where his bro at instead of asking her about his dad and the second story is about Kratos actually looking for his bro instead of his bro is a demon that wanna kill him, also Ares and Athena taking away his bro instead of Sparta soldies. They were much older in GoS when that happened. He also doesn't have the mark and his hair is long.
Aaahhh, maaan, i want to explore Pandora's Temple full of dangers and secrets with a squad of modern nonames, clueless about what to expect from this place, dying and surviving as if it's a horror game, like maybe Dead Space or something. And all that with familiar places, designs, enemies and easter eggs related to God of War, because you know... it's Pandora's Temple. Zesty's idea about the DOOM-like shooter is also cool as hell, imagine the original soundtrack in modern HR/HM style playing there, jeeez...
It will be so damn cool ! I am a sucker for nostalgia and seeing everything inside Pandora's temple in modern day and remembering how we went through it in GOW 1 would be phenomenal.
I love even after years these games were released I am still discovering new things about the gow series, thanks midgar dude ❤ 2:18 kratos was straight up mewing in this art work
I think the special scene with Cronos was more of a hint for the modern version of god of war games, not a shooter but a hack and slash. Something like Metal Gear rising revangace but with magical elements, story that focuses on discovering the Greek myths and it's mistery, stuff like that. Even in the ending of the game, Kratos is seen watching over the future wars so maybe he would have appread in the modern game.
Video idea are the Fortnite crossover skin and the current greek mythology themed Fortnite season cannon to Gow?! Seriously though this would be a perfect April fools video Good to see an upload from you Mid and hope you are doing well
@@MidChronicler this was a cool video also i had no idea about the orignal idea they had for Deimos this was the first i saw that cutscene and while i like the story in Ghost of Sparta your idea of Zeus using a corrupted demon version of Deimos as leverage against Kratos in Gow 3 would have been such a captivating concept i wonder if the orignal design for Deimos evevoled into Thanatos in that game
I'm sorry Midgard Chronicler but I respectfully disagree. The non-canon Deimos was bland and lacked depth. As a big Deimos fan, I strongly prefer the canon one that we got over the secret one and I'll explain my reasoning. The canon Deimos has more tragedy with the prophecy of the marked warrior because it could have been avoided. The Gods didn't need to do this but they did because of Zeus's obsession with controlling fate. So they punished a child for a crime he didn't commit. Which is much more interesting then Deimos getting abandoned in the woods by the Spartan government because he didn't fit there high standards. It's kinda semi-accurate to Sparta in history (although dramatized) but it was common in Sparta. So what happened to Deimos wasn't surprising (although still depressing). It just lacks the punch to make the tragedy of Deimos special. Anyway Deimos being tortured and imprisoned as a kid, add more reasoning to his decent into madness. If you think about it, Deimos didn't know Kratos knew he was dead and from his perspective as a child, you would believe your older sibling would save you. So from that POV it makes logical sense why Deimos was mad at Kratos. Also it's possible Thanatos told Deimos that Kratos was alive and planted the idea that "he abandoned him" to just destory his hope. Basically there mental effects of torment and that can explains why he was blaming Kratos, although it wasn't his fault. Another important thing about canon Deimos is that, Kratos had the red tattoo made after his brother. Also he got his left eye scar trying to save Deimos from Ares. So two of Kratos most important design elements relate to his brother. It gives Kratos depth and shows he's sentimental for his family. Which then motivates his fuel for revenge against the Gods. In conclusion the Deimos we got in GOW: Ghost of Sparta is more humanized/fleshed out and puts the entire blame on the Gods. Which fits more in line with GOW themes. Btw this is a personal preference but Deimos non-canon design looks stereotypical to me and doesn't fit with the Greek mythology aesthetic. Plus Deimos being a demon doesn't make sense!!! He died as a innocent kid and by that logic, wouldn't he be in the Elysium Fields??? Why would he be in Tartarus??? What would he be punished for??? Also wouldn't he want to destroy Sparta more then Kratos??? Since it's there literally the cause of his death!!! Tbh at least canon Deimos wanted to kill the Gods too.
That was a picture of Kratos brother before they wrote that for him. They could've explained it by giving them a completely different backstory. The current Deimos is perfectly fine though and I enjoy that story too. But when I was a kid when I saw that image of Deimos I was hype af.
just melt both storylines and you will have what (probably) the devs thought about before changing it fully to the GoS. probably deimos got kidnapped, but instead of trapped, got killed and tortured in the hades once dead. why would he be in hades? because he was the marked warrior. there, u still have kratos family conections. and diemos wouldve been freed after hades gets defeated, and im not going to continue becuz kuba explains it in his video go look it its really good but yeah
😮by watching this video i guss jaffy is mastermind he built whole story for next game so we should thanks him that he had gaven all ideas and we experience this nearly masterpiece game🔥.thanks for this video
With the Cronos corpse in modern day clip, you can not just be a first person or third person shooter but maybe magic still exists and maybe the new protagonist can unlock it and use it in battle like Mass Effect by being a distant ancestor to Kratos and that can be a plot point. Maybe the corpse of Cronos and the temple of Pandora was a archeological find but then the military got involved because maybe they and the government know something they want to keep for themselves to maintain control by hiding it and or to be weaponized. But it could be like tomb raider mixed with doom and mass effect and throw in assassin's creed as well.
The thing is with deimos there would not be a connection with him if they did that i think it would be random to just have him in a later game as a demon
I feel like the demon dimos would have been much cooler if instead of jest a last weapon for zeus for 3 if its was the 3 wiseman to Jesus ending which was hinted at through the games before if they did the whole wise men thing and then dimos comes out as the villian for that as the devil to break down all of that as revenge but sense that story never went through got the careing find the brother and the gods will pay which pushes the gow 3 ending better which is also fun
I realize that I am dumb in this video for some reason.
Thanks for the awesome video.
Thank YOU
Nothing unusual
But still my only Zesty, I would never change you for someone smarter ❤
😅
Maybe callisto only told kratos that his father is a god of olympus. Not which one.
I think Kratos suspected who it was
That's what i always believed, then in GOW2 Kratos is destroying cities from gods to see if his father would show up.
Let's just accept that Cory screwed up a little there, a mistake that he already tried to solve in Ghost of Sparta, that or that Kratos never really cared to discover that, it doesn't matter to him, he was already beginning to have his doubts with Zeus before, when he was his slave for 10 years.

Insane that these cutscenes inspired an entire prequel, which is awesome, im glad they were eventually turned into something more.
