oh goodness, this sounds *so much* like appalachian fiddling i don't think i could tell the difference with my eyes closed. wonderful playing, as well!
this Instrument is shown in FFXIV Stormblood! you see several Xaela throughout the Azim Steppe playing it! my character Ashelia who's from the Dotharl plays it in private quite enjoying it
It’s almost 8 years since the first time I listened to this instrument but I guess you guys came after that game, it’s an honor for more people to discover ancient instruments
Nice theme, it's almost hypnotic. The "F-grooves" of the violin are typical of European, not of Mongolian culture. Maybe they were added to make it sound better.
This is the potential to translate the beauty of the steppes and their culture that these people feel. One strum of this instrument and the Chinese are no longer bribing and manipulating your Khanates to war with each other, but bowing before you for tribute.
dude this guy SHREDS on that thing
Absolutely!! 💯

When you come from symphonic rock, you accept any music! 🤣🤣
It looks like an ugly cello

Childish. Those bow instruments originate from plains
That can easy be replaced by this or Gehu
@@SpeedRunningWarcrimes he is not chines.
Lmao it looks 10 times better than a cello with it’s horse head it’s a lot more elegant that a cello and sounds better IMO
Looks and sounds way better than a cello and has way more story behind it when a Cello.
