I treat the books as a way to directly introduce concepts into the game universe without creating a whole new game with hidden lore. I honestly think that no event in the trilogy or Frights should be taken as canon, but that the ideas introduced can be used to explain why certain things happen in the game canon (Agony, Remant, how objects become possessed, etc).
Meanwhile, it seams that The Tales From The Pizzaplex might actually take place in the same timeline and universe as Security Breach, which is pretty exciting!
The books are very different, that's all I'll say

And then the graphic novels are entirely separate from the written novels due to how much had to be cut for reasons, and so now we have a dozen different versions of him with different motives, attitudes, and philosophies!

Ngl, I love the sarcasm of William not feeling like naming cc. I'm sure he technically has a name but since we don't know what it is (Evan is not confirmed) but that's definitely my favorite part of the beginning of the video
1978 he and Henry founded Fredbear's Family Diner but he felt he is not taking credit, after the death of both his wife and son he murdered Henry's daughter Charlie as revenge, 2015 Fnaf 3 takes place, Fnaf 6 takes place in 2017
Afton is gone for good, Glitchtrap and Burntap are not Afton at all but it was the Mimic from Tales from the Pizzaplex making William Afton a former antagonists.
FNAF 3 takes place in 2023 because it’s 30 years after the last Freddy’s, which closed in 1993
The original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is more than 30 years old, FNAF SB takes place in 2021 of March, this is confirmed in Vanessa's email stating she was born on March 1997 making her 23 years old
@@glamrockfoxy477 yeah but the other games confirm that FNAF 3 is in 2023. FNAF 1 is confirmed to be in 1992/1993, and if you add 30, it’s 2022/2023. Not to mention the HRY223 tape, which might also confirm the 2023 date in FFPS.

I once saw a possible background story for Afton posted on Reddit by someone else. He was born in Southampton in 1944, his mother was a housewife and his father was a Hurricane pilot. His father came back from the war with PTSD and started abusing his son. This explains the murderous tendencies at least, he follows after his father.

I think his motives for the killings at least at first where jealously towards Henry maybe he saw Henry as perfect maybe he even saw his family as perfect and may be Afton felt as though his family wasn’t. I think also Afton could have suffered some sort of abuse at a young age which is why he could be cruel to Michael because Michael is the first born but he looks at the other two like his angels even though I don’t think he truly cares about them as it’s implied.
I think he also likes to be in control he wants to make things perfect because he feels as though he’s in adequate which is why in the books I believe is why he considers himself an animatronic why he was so attached to spring Bonnie because it felt perfect to him it felt like the real him. which could mean he might have an identity disorder.
And I do think his later killings were more in line with the whole child experimentation to try to bring his kid back,but I think it was just a sick excuse to torture and kill more kids
