Guys, I'm tired of saying it, but phone dude being in his 50s and talking like a surfer bro is literally so incredibly possible it hurts. You don't magically turn senile at 50. If thats your reasoning for me being wrong, I literally have nothing to say other than "thats your opinion".

I used to always subscribe to the idea that the pink dude who got out of the car and who waited near foxy to show foxy the bodies was an entirely different person than the purple night guard. We saw running around dismantling the animatronics but at some point Scott fused both those characters into William Afton. And it still makes a lot of sense. When you think about it, why would William Afton drive up to the place he works, get out of his car and kill the first person he saw who happened to be his business partner's daughter standing in front of his business in the rain and then leave. That doesn't seem like a super pre-planned detail. That seems like a generic 1970 serial killer causing everything to go to shit

mainly its the paycheck date, lack of mention of the bite during the game, and jeremy moving to the dayshift on the last day of the place being open, so it would HAVE to happen that day. its not really concrete evidence, but its enough to take a guess, and it spread through the whole fandom.

Unless you got the Dream Theory route wich was probably the right awnser at the time. Not anyone of course thank god.

In FNAF 2 Night 5 phone call, Phone guy’s mentions to Jeremy that he’s going to be moved to day shift as the position just became available, then he says “We don’t have a replacement for your shift, but we’re working on it”. So Fritz was definitely hired as a replacement night guard to work the shift on night 7.
A bit unrelated but I realised two things:
1-Jeremy never got payed for that last shift, he got payed for his work week and for night 6 overtime.
2-Jeremy must have been in a terrible state during the Birthday party, he spend all night trying to survive then he presumably leaves Freddy’s for few hours until the day shift starts for a shower and nap, before returning to Freddy’s. And then is instruction to stay close to robots, the very things that have trying to murder him all week, plus the screaming kids. Man, poor guy.

Or maybe Michael took the job because he needed the money or for some other reason. According to the survival logbook, he took at least one of the Freddy's jobs because free pizza was involved.

I think it makes more sense for Michael Afton to have been Fritz Smith, since it was really only by then that his father was officially declared a main suspect. If he were Jeremy, he would've had to be ahead of the police and yet not mention to them that he suspected his father in the disappearances. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it makes more sense that hearing about your father being detained as a suspect would lead to you working the night shift at the scene of the crime. Jeremy is there to be the victim of the Bite of '87 and, along with Fritz, help us pin down which two kids were the ones killed at the FNAF 2 location double murder. A FNAF 1 newspaper clipping says that TWO kids were lured away on JUNE 26th, which lines up with this being a SUMMER job. Jeremy was paid so late because of the Bite incident. Cassidy AFTON was killed long before this.

They both never show up in anything ever again, and they don't really contribute much the one time they both appear. What would be the point in bringing back someone who's basically just a name for the third game, when you could just make another character?
