I have never seen that process before to remove old paint (blow torch and a wire wheel), what a great method. Iv'e only ever used a wire wheel before, but I can see that heating everything up must make it a whole lot easier. Nice one.
Yes. The heat helps to soften everything a bit and it all comes off nicely. I should add that you’d be wise to do it in a well ventilated area. The smoke was unpleasant. I probably should have had some kind of mask on but safety breath holding works just as well. lol.
I've always wanted to do a full nut n bolt resto on a mini , preferably a mini pickup van , with trick yamaha engine etc etc Sadly time n life ........never permitted So il gladly support ur channel New subscriber
Happy to have you here. This started as a simple engine rebuild and has somewhat snowballed into a custom bulkhead and now likely a full nut and bolt resto. 🫣🤪
@NickThornhill one car I never got to drive / thrash my mum had two minis and a vaden pla mk2 mini metro , that went like stink !! ( I had a go ) 🙈 My father had a 1275 GT clubman moons ago , neighbour had a 1340 build My uncle had loads of pickup vans .....I get it from him!!
