Shredded beef is called Carne Mechada. Pabellon is the national plate and consist of Shredded beef, white rice, fried plantain slices, and black beans. Kudos for not comparing tequeños with mozzarella sticks, tequeños are sacred.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking the time to go and that you gozaste un Puyero ;) I definitely want to go to Philadelphia to try their Reina Pepiada and Carne Esmechada. Que Viva Venezuela!
Oo! I’m always looking for new ways to eat food without wheat (I’m allergic). That plantain beef stew dish looks amazing! Will have to see how to make it at home since I’m in LA. Thanks Lucas! ❤️
I guess Lucas has also decided that he doesn't want to go for the Mark Wiens O-face, which I quite like. Still, 5 seems a bit much, I think you can do two at the most with the amount of work that has to go in this production.
Got a little wrong the Venezuelan national dish. The national dish is called "pabellón criollo" and it comes with black beans, rice, shredded beef, fried sweet plantains and most of the time it comes with white Chee's as well. We also eat it with some arepas Wich works like if it was bread...
9 out of 10 ethnic cuisines feature plantains or bananas. Not true, but it's not far off either. Plantains are a cheap, filling starch in most Latin, Caribbean, Asian and African cuisines.
one thing here, the ones you hate arent "real" patacons, here we use green platains, which in most of cases wouldnt be considered ready to eat, but in venezuela when you deep fry those they become really crunchy and there's no sweetness, but as far as im aware green platains arent sold in the US.
waNErBOY They are. Big Caribbean community in NYC. A lot of the islands and South America grow the same vegetables and fruits and depending on where you live in certain cities and neighborhoods you can find these same veggies and fruits.
@@waNErBOY en Maracaibo siempre te ponen la opción para elegir, generalmente entre el plátano verde y el maduro, y en algunas partes el amarillo. En todo caso, el Patacón es el plato completo, y el plátano verde frito en rodajas es tostón.
The dish is called a pabellón patacón because it does have the beef, beans, cheese and of course the plantain because, well, it's a patacón. So it is based on the pabellón.
Lucas, if you’re going to use the F word, I cannot let my children watch this and my kids have traveled the world and are bigger foodies than you. Why don’t you raise the standards of your show and keep it clean and smart?!!

So the new name of this show is Dining on a Puya!
"Can I change the name of the show to Fuck that's tasty?"
Yes. Yes, please.
As soon as I saw you were going to Philly I so hoped Puyero was on your list. They are great! This episode made me so happy and hungry.

I liked this episode of "Fuck thats Tasty" thanks Lucas!
So glad to see Pelin! I wondered where she'd gone after the host swap on Cooking in America.

Love how informative Lucas is man. Shout out love from Aruba. If you're ever down in the Caribbean I'll hook you up with a few good dime places
6:38 was that intentional? Action Bronson plus Lucas Peterson? Can we handle that?
FieryEasy I'd like to see Action as a guest on dining on a dime
Add matty, and that might be the best trio in culinary commentary
Love this I am from Curacao!!!
Venezuelaaaaaa papáááááá!!! 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
Patacone is the best thing I've ever tried! Delicious!!
it doesn't matter the food or content , I watch because it's Lucas
Right off of south st, I have been here and it really is as good as claimed.
I love Venezuelan food
Literally drooling right now at that magical shredded beef sandwich.
Wait a moment, was there a real reaction? This has to be phenomenal food since I cannot recall a time when Lucas hmmmed before.
They film like 5 shows in a day. I suspect it takes a lot to actually impress a professional food taster.
I guess Lucas has also decided that he doesn't want to go for the Mark Wiens O-face, which I quite like. Still, 5 seems a bit much, I think you can do two at the most with the amount of work that has to go in this production.
what do you mean?

I actually eat my plaintain with pull pork...amazing!
Yeeeesssss ♡ also as a maracucha, we all know patacones are better lol
I love Lucas and also think he's great. But I figured out his trick. He's good at keeping it together when he's feeling it.
Is it just me, or do 9 out of 10 Dining on a Dime videos feature fried plantains
9 out of 10 ethnic cuisines feature plantains or bananas. Not true, but it's not far off either. Plantains are a cheap, filling starch in most Latin, Caribbean, Asian and African cuisines.
3:42 was that a regular plastic bag they used to cover the tortilla press?
i do that at home with mine
Plastic wrap works too, but they probably get plastic bags for free.
Don't know if Action Bronson would approve of that new name 😂
Great episode, dude! Come to Australia soon
Amo teus vídeos! Salivo, aprendo.....
Lucas is the best!
I see Lucas, I click like

They can be made with green, yellow or plátano maduro :)
@@marcelasofia__ yo jamas los he comido con platano maduro, o amarillo.

I cannot believe there is ever a day where you dread going to work.
speaking of Pelin. where has she been?
When Pelen said hit the like button, i hit it.
You should have Pelan ( I hope I’m spelling it right ) on the show more.
Man, Manuela is a pretty woman.
Not able to open the Eater from subscriptions .. it throws error 500...
I am a simple hooman. I see Lucas. I press like.
how'd you fix the lighting at 5:50?
I really thought the camera-person/producer was gunna say “you can’t call it ‘fxxx that’s tasty’ cuz there’s already a ‘fxxx that’s delicious’”
I hit the like!
Who is Pelin, and what is she doing there? Not jelly, just wondering
Everything seems fried...but I guess in Venezuela that's the go to method of cooking
I bet F*ck that's tasty will be a hit!
How do u stay so fit Lucas?
Honey but pabellón is not only the carne mechada, it needs to have the black beans, the fried plantains, the white rice and the white queso rallado
The dish is called a pabellón patacón because it does have the beef, beans, cheese and of course the plantain because, well, it's a patacón. So it is based on the pabellón.
Yeah, but he was talking about pabellón como si fuera solo la carne mechada, feel me?
not really
You should of had the chocolate stuffed churros!!!
Awwweeeesome.
Where are the cachapas though?
yummyy.
I like that one fried dish the best, lol
was about to sleep and this appeared on my home page, GOOD BYE, SLEEP
Manuela tho.....
That girl is extremely beautiful(and extremely hard work 😇).
that lady at the end stealing lucas' food😂😂😂
It was started by two brothers. Two brothers. It was just two brothers...lol
For Lucas, dining on a dime has to be low budget i can bet on it but damm he's a good host.
