Wow! You really butchered those cables 😂. Are you a tight knitter? The cables are suppose to be “memory free”… Suggestion: if your hands hurt when you use the shorties, try using the longer needle on the knitting hand and the shorter needle on the other.

Thank you for the tips on combining short and long needles. I've also discovered that using a working needle that is 0.5 sizes smaller helps in maintaining consistent tension.
Initially, I bought these short needles for small projects such as mittens, socks, and baby booties. While I don't consider myself a tight knitter, working on small knits with these needles can be a bit tricky.
It's ironic, that they are meant for tiny projects, yet that's where I face challenges. However, I have no trouble knitting hats or sleeves with ChiaGoo short needles. In the end, I've decided to focus on using the magic loop technique instead of the short needles.
