  • I saw a 7 Day challenge droppshipping from @JordanWelch and decided to give it a try. The challenge was supposed to be impossible to fail, if you followed through. I did, and I failed...
I always thought dropshipping was this sort of scammy thingy where people would just try to make money of.
They promise no risk, and fast and easy money. As I am getting married this year, and I need money, I decided to try dropshipping for 7 days to prove it was not luck to myself, but apparently it was, and I ended up failing, and losing some money.
Dropshipping ended up taking a lot of effort and time, which I was not willing to put, as I rather do something else
I give credits to those that actually do it, and manage to gain money from it, and quit their 9-5 or not even start... I feel like doing this sort of businesses, is more for people to start early on, or when they have a good product that they don't want to risk ordering thousand of products and investing thousands before hand. For me it was a failed experiment...
I guess I won't be trying dropshipping again, or well, if I do, I should learn more before doing so...

Hey man, first off great video and thanks for being completely honest. I think the main thing that limited your growth is the fact that valentines day is the LEAST popular major holiday. On top of that your ads sounded robotic and unconvincing. Lastly the product you chose is a very saturated market and is easily replicable. Not trying to bash just giving you ideas on what u can improve on if you continue this business venture

The problem with dropshipping is that 95% of the time youre relying on people's impulse buying.
Multiple that with other people selling the same things
The only thing in your power is:
    1. Unique Ad
    2. Your initial capital

I think my marketing was good. Just that it was the seasonality, and also that i couldnt get credit cards. If that was in december i wouldve made quite some money

The first product you used is a great product but it is overly saturated and too many people are using it. The website you made is very good and quality. Stepping away for 2 days is a very bad idea you should see how the adds are doing while they are running to make the adds better quality and targeted. You also need al ot more then a week to make money from drop shipping.

Best and most relatable video vid ive seen for dropshipping.
My whole bank account right now is $455, and I may use half to test products and the other half for food/gas for the week
Bro, your CPC was CRAZY good. Anything under $1 is rly good, and you were hitting .34 eur (.37 usd)
If you could accept credit cards, you wouldve made a sale or two (possibly 3 - 5 with a banger website/product) because a rly good converting store typically has 1% to 3% conversion rate

"Impossible to fail". Dude, it is January. Most people start to save up money during January, and February, so that they can afford to spend their money on things. If you would have "tried" during December then sure, you would have seen a much better ROAS than what you currently have. No one is making huge numbers in January, and you decided to test things in the biggest low on the year.

    • @MatiasRijoM
      @MatiasRijoM  4 місяці тому

What you say makes sense, and I knew that before starting. I also think it didn’t work because of credit cards and only targeting EU stores. I studied economics and have a master in finance, so i know about the seasonality of the market. Yet if i was able to have credit cards and target canada and US, with my Valentine’s product, i should’ve gotten at least 1 or 2 sales. I will try again in December, and actually prove the seasonality, hopefully by then i have credit cards enabled. For now, it was fun!

My man, No offense but you did it all wrong. The "dropshipping" style that you went for is a popular jump on for beginners. If you did the same thing accept. designed your website better and grinded ads you would be successful at some point. Its not a 2nd hand job lol It will take hours. I have studied business for years and im only 18. I have set up my own business and it takes about 20 hours a week to build. thats the LEAST amount. Your building something by yourself its not going to take 1 day. like I said Iv been at it for almost 6 years and im 18.

Dropshipping is not a joke, and if you want to make it you need to pit the time and efford
