Absolutely great the way you explain it. But for a real beginner like me it's sometimes difficult to follow all your advises. Because you advise is advanced for me, I'm literally lost. I stop and watch one segment of 10 sec. sometimes for 1 hour over and over to understand the process, especially the part with the Pixel helper I do exactly as you show, and at the end it does not show anything on the pixel helper, although shopify has the pixel installed. Am I trying to hard maybe to follow your steps? I appreciate your great videos. Thank you.
Hi Vasilios, appreciate your feedback. There are subjects that I research where I need to do exactly what you are saying. Learning does sometimes require previous knowledge to stick. If I were to go much slower, a large portion of our audience would tune out. For the pixel helper example, pause the video and research pixel helper videos on youtube or on google. Then come back to the video. Over time, my videos will become too beginner for you due to your experience, you just need to keep learning the basics.
I followed with him just fine. I'm sure there are other videos that break down these subtopics further if you need a little extra help

Amazing video, thank you so much! I have a question about setting up TikTok ad accounts. Around 1:30 you created a tiktok for business account but later in the video ( 16:20 ) you recommended setting up a new account and linking it to the ads profile at a later date to build a profile and brand awareness. So just to clarify, can you create an ads account through shopify, and create a seperate tiktok account and link them after?
Setting it up through shopify helps to link everything together, but you'll need to have your tiktok for business account to set up the campaigns.

Would love to learn how the facebook ads side of things work at TheOodie’s scale - what does the ad account look like? How many creatives are being tested? How decisions are made with so many things being tested at the same time.

Did you upload the 3 ad creatives in the same Campaign you just created? I only saw one ad added and then submitted for review.
How did you upload the 2nd & 3rd Creative in the same ad group set to compare the most effective?
Yep normally you would add them all in order to help the algorithm to choose the best one.

Tiktok has made an effort to replicate facebook so that the transition wouldn't be so difficult.
We had a little issue with the pixel helper.... after getting in touch with support and numerous chats back and forth, we found that you had to set up privacy setting and give your customers an option to opt in or out for cookies. Once we had this pop up banner installed and accepted. We could see the pixel firing.

Unfortunately with dropshipping stores, its normal as it doesn't generally meet their terms and conditions.

Is it necessary to register my shop in the beginning? Like getting a trademark and all that stuff
It's important to check to see if your name has already been trademarked, but other than that you won't need to do anything fancy in the beginning. Just pick a name and launch your store.

Create an ad account with the location set as the United States (use fake address from an address generator or don't add one if it doesn't ask)
OR get an agency ad account. You can target any country you want with agency ad accounts (pretty easy to get one if you've the right contacts)

It will work with any platform as this guide is to run ads to a landing page.

A pixel is needed if you plan on driving traffic to a landing page. It doesn't matter what niche or industry you are in. If you plan on driving an audience to a website or app, then you can apply a pixel.
Thanks for sharing the video, I think there aren't many great videos about this topic on UA-camt yet. It's funny that TikTok's recommendation for ad spend should be neglected, I guess they just want you to spend as much money as possible.
But then it will be very helpful if you can be able to spend more than there suggested budget because of productivity and result. i tried it in the past and the only ones that performed well was the one that has there suggested minimum ads spent limit. your spend is based on your niche can you tell me your niche?

Creatives die out much faster on Tiktok so you;lk need to cycle them through faster. Spark ads is simply a chosen button in the creative end to choose videos you've already posted on your page to be turned into ads to retain the engagement.

It definitely is a good way to increase your buying potential from customers, however their aim is to keep customers on their platform which means that you aren't able to acquire the data by taking them onto your own shop platform as well as add on upsells to increase the value per customer.

So the example you showed is top of funnel, correct? How many other campaigns do you recommend for middle/bottom funnel and how narrow of an audience should we target?
These days you'll only find yourself with a Top of funnel and a Middle of funnel.
Hey Davie, this video is legendary. Is the Spark video sufficient if I want to retarget people who have already seen my (organic) videos on my account with ads? I've built up a pretty decent audience and would love to find the best way to get my products in front of them :)
Not quite used as retargetting, but more so able to utilise the curent organic social proof on the ad itself.
Hey Davie I notice that your Click through rate in the video is low but you still have sales. Other Ecom Shopify/ Dropship UA-camrs recommend average CTR of 1%. So is CTR a metric that's not that important if you have sales and your ads are profitable? Also I have been running ads on Tik Tok and notice when I put multiple ads in a ad group it didn't spend the budget the best and got me a low amount of clicks. Which is different when i run 1 ad per adset my CTR is above 1% and get me more views. So do you recommend multiple ads per ad group or just 1 ad per adset?
It does depend on your niche and your product pricing. In the end, it does matter if you have sales and are profitable, but if you aren't getting sales, then you will need to be looking at other metrics to gain a better understanding of whether or not you are benefitting from running your ads.

You will need to decide whether your product has channel fit and trend viability before just deciding to spend money on the platform.
I have two relates (but seperate) businesses on Tik Tok. Should I create two different business centers, one for each account? Or should I add both ads managers to one account? I am hesitant to ad both to one business center because if there is an issue, both may get shut down (just like facebook did to me last week). However I am also concerned to create two different business centers because if I use the same cell or some other information that TikTok sees is being used for two separate biz centers then will it red flag also. What do you recommend? Thanks a million!
Best to keep them separate just to keep things simple.

A lot of people praise the organic growth opportunity on tiktok. I’ve been trying to get a brand off the ground organically before I start throwing money at it. Could you make a video about how to grow organically for people who may have a lower budget.
If you're on a lower budget, Tiktok is still a great way to grow your business. It's a matter of learning what the algorithm typically favours and trying to incorporate your brand into videos that you create. Rinse and repeat and always be studying new content that pops up on your fyp that is similar to the content you want to create.

This will depend on your product and niche. Every niche has different metrics and this can range quite widely. There isn't any set answer for this without asking for more information on what you'd like to do!
If you also have google analytics, should you still connect tik tok through shopify and does tiktok info transfer into analytics or is there a way to connect tiktok to google analytics without conecting to shopify? Thanks

Is there any functionality to having duplicate ad groups with the same targeting and same ads? Or would it be just as effective to spend 2x on one of the ad groups. I am wondering because I currently only have 3 creatives id like to test for a product but I’ve heard people say it’s better to post 5-10 vids in a campaign. So should I run duplicate ad groups, spend more one 1 group, or is it best practice to have more than 3 different ad creatives.
Duplicating adsets helps you to find similar pockets within the same audience groups and would ideally only be done if you knew you had a winning/profitable adset.
hi Dave or anyone else that sees this question and can help. i am currently following the campaign section of the tutorial. on the tik tok ads manager, the promotion type section it has changed from when Dave did it. on the page Dave shows, the promotion type has 3 option: App website and external website. on my page i only have external website and tik tok app options. which one do i choose? im thinking external website but would rather be sure. thank you
You would choose external website as you're feeding traffic to your own website.

Dropshipping is considered a low barrier starting cost which means that you definitely have the potential to run ads with Tiktok ads with the amount you've mentioned. However, it may be best to focus on a high-value skill instead to increase the amount that you have in surplus to start your business to ensure you are not working with scarcity.

Hi Dav, I am running a pet niche store, would you recommend to set target audience instead of leaving it blank? Thank you.
Because the pet niche is quite broad, you can start targetting single interest adsets to help out a little bit, but I would also recommend a broad targetting on one adset to give the algorithm all the power at the beginning.
Question Davie. I have been banned from Facebook because I can’t confirm my identity. I input the code that was mailed to me by FB. Then they still want me to get a note notarized to confirm my identity. I feel like they just make it hard for us to sell. Is there any way to bypass this?
Unfortunately you'll have to go through this process hwich is why fake or new random accounts are difficult to advertise. They are becoming much more stricter on security and fake accounts

I'm gonna try TikTok soon but for now I do FB ads and even though pixel and API conversions are set up properly, I don't see all my sales on BM even though I know they come from FB ads. So then I don't know where to put more budget... Any advice on how can I deal with it?
Unfortunately due to iOs changes, not all the data gets properly attributed and that is why it is missing. You'll need to set up UTM tags or install an app like Triple Whale to assist this.

Use a VPN, but just need to be careful that you need to remain on that similar IP address.

Depends whether you can justify it or not, but it's simply easier to delete them if you are dropshipping and have no real point of difference you can clearly identify

Hi. this is really good material. You mentioned that you set the ad budget based on the price of the item. But should you not take into consideration the purchase price, and not the sale price? For example, I buy something at £10, and sell for £50. by your advise the budget should be something like £30. However I only paid £10 for it. Does this not matter into the equation? Thanks
It does matter, but you should be looking to spend more these days before killing a campaign unless the metrics are absolutely horrible.

I've heard a VPN can work well or using an agency account.
CPM cheaper than on Facebook, but CTR way higher on Facebook

Under promotion type, I cant seem to figure out how you got the tik tok pixel to pop up... and I followed every step in the video. Does it matter if I don't have that?
You definitely need a pixel if you plan on advertising, otherwise you will not be able to record any data you bring into your storefront.

Davie can I differentiate a product through color only? Even if the design is trademarked and I don’t wanna change the design?
Does colour alone appeal to your audience enough for it to be a key factor in whether they buy from you instead of a competitor? you would need to ask that question to yourself.
Also in regards to the trademark, you would need to elaborate on that!
Nice content, however I have a question about daily budget. Should we pay for CPA and other CP's?
You could think of your daily budget based on whether your testing or scaling. A good start would be 3x your Cost per Purchase which will give you enough budget to make proper decisions or get enough data.
If I want to target in US but I don't have address there can I lie on this or I will have some problems?
You can look into using a VPN when setting this up!
Just something that came to my mind now, where did you learn all of this? Did you go to university studying in this field or did you learn from coaches?
Trial and error over time of running my brands and learning from experts and specialists in each field. Universities don't teach this type of stuff!

You can, but it resets the learning so you're better off creating a new ad creative and turning off your original one.
