Putting in my flight packet soon!
Good luck!
Also have a question - ok so you can be female or male or Muslim or Mormon or Hispanic or Black and a pilot but can you be over 35 or 40?
Great video! May I ask a question for my son...... how long does it take to go from Basic training to the completion of advanced flight training..... doing the high school to flight school path..... ball park estimate would be great.... I really appreciate this info.. also, what is the path, say basic training then to where? thanks!
1.5 - 2 years for street to seat. From Basic Training, applicants usually head to Fort Rucker, Alabama for Warrant Officer Candidate School. Once WOCS is complete, they wait for a flight school seat there at Fort Rucker.
@@TheMrDana Thanks!

be interesting to see if you can do this at age 41
@@johnglenn1010 nah too old
You just flew over love you and police😘😘😘😘😘😘
What does he mean by Full Time obligation ?
The National Guard helicopter pilot are full-time unlike National Guard foot soldiers are part-time
It means that the typical part-time commitment (one weekend a month, two weeks of annual training for the year) isn’t typical for pilots. Pilots have flight hour requirements/training that can never be completed in the amount of what the “typical commitment” is. Those hours and reqs are the same required of full time, active pilots, which means it requires a greater obligation to meet those hours.
@@VeniVidiMarti when you finally become a pilot what happens next?
Kermit The Frog Just a normal drill with your respective unit, meet your flight hours/training as required
@@VeniVidiMarti but when you become a pilot do you live on a base full time near home?
What's the height requirement for aviator.???
3’6
6’9
If U hv to ask, U don't qualify -_-
And what about the age? over 37 and a half?
420cm.
Is it possible for an older recruit 36 years old, with a college degree, to join and become a 🚁 pilot in the army?
you can get a waiver for age, but it'll make it a little more complicated.
@@capt.raptor4650 the army doesn't need pilots at the moment, very unfortunate.
@@dhsu04
from what I hear they aren't having any issues with getting new pilots, but they're having problems retaining experienced ones.
37 going on 38 here with no degree and kind of wasted a good chunk of years. Probably next to impossible even if I were to get myself back into shape and get a degree within 3-4 years. Only option for myself is the dinky piston, private flight school route. Hard lessons learned. Don't sit on something for too long.
You could try out Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve too
Can you fly as a regular officer as well?
Yes u can as a commissioned officer, just different routes
The United States Army has Aviators, not Pilots - Army Aviator multi valor decorated combat veteran

@@QIKWIA How's the comment racist?

How's it "racist"?
Question?
Do you think he would've disrespected a white PILOT with his Assinine comment?
There lies your answer.
@@QIKWIA Victim hood is strong in the black community in the US huh
Well educated man but still enunciates poorly. Instead of ninTH he pronounce the word ninf, wif instead of wiTH. Why do almost all blacks do this stuff?
@@Alongfortheride693 just making a life long observation.
YOU are a dumb@$s.
I see so many grammatical mistakes in YOUR comment...😂
Here are the proper corrections..
First sentence..a comma goes before the word "but"..stoopid.
Next ..
You incorrectly used the word "pronounce" in your sentence when it is supposed to be "pronounced"...stoopid.
Lastly,
Not all blacks are guilty of spelling errors, grammatical mispronunciations and lingual speech as you have proven in YOUR COMMENT, stoopid.
🙄
No wonder so many crashes. Stop doing diversity hires.
Bigotry at it’s finest. 😂
Holy racist Batman; you’re pathetic
