Fair play my man, climbing pretty well, keep it up and you'll surprise yourself I think 😎 A good structure, practice and training and you'll just go 📈💪🏻
Hey Matthew! Love the vid! I’m about to turn 21 and I also want to take climbing as seriously as you are. Unfortunately I’ve been injured pretty bad and won’t be able to go for a few weeks but love watching your progress and journey! Good luck with you goal!
Thank you for posting. I refer my mentees to view videos like this one about rock-climbing. Heroes are created. Voluntarily setting a goal in any endeavor, small or big, requires us to also identify what constitutes failure. It's interesting to see what lurks around the next corner. Heroism is not an innate quality but something developed through deliberate actions and decisions. This aligns with the existentialist view that individuals create their own values and meaning through their actions. Voluntary Goal Setting: Setting goals voluntarily, whether small or large, reflects the existentialist emphasis on personal responsibility and the importance of making meaningful choices. Identifying Failure: Recognizing what constitutes failure is crucial in the pursuit of any goal. This aligns with the existentialist idea that individuals must confront and define their own limitations and challenges. Curiosity and Exploration: Being interested in what lurks around the next corner highlights a sense of curiosity and the adventurous aspect of human existence, which is often emphasized in existential thought as a way to find meaning in life. Overall, your choice to engage in rock climbing encourages personal growth through deliberate goal-setting, embracing challenges, and exploring the unknown, which are key aspects of existentialism and heroism. ~ Tom
Nice! The first three climbs teach you some basics of more dynamic movement! Two ideas: With lower body coordination movement shuffles you can do three things to make it easier. (it does not apply to your set tho :/) 1) IF possible, use a slightly easier starting hold closer. 2) Progress closer and closer to the intended hold 3) Try the moves from running at them on the ground to feel what the actual momentum/ending movement would feel like Keep trying problems like that sideways green one and invent even more difficult variations for yourself. You don't need to do just the set coordination problems but you should look for interesting movement possibilities that are dynamic and jumpy and runny! I see WC boulderers make up cool moves all the time. Also, I like pants if you love your shins :) On the blue problem, your hips moved away from the wall. The intended sequence looks like you'd have to land your left foot on the volume to the left, so you'd swing your left foot up to the volume while generating the jump primarily from your right leg. You did great on the 2nd green dyno problem! That jump teaches you transferring momentum to stop your swing. To finish, what seems intended is heel hooking with the right leg. Crossover would also work. Good job! Keep trying hard problems and find slab to work on too :) Ideally heinous almost no hands slab.
Rock and roll! Keep trying those hard ones and before you know it, you'll be saying what you said about your later climbs: "That was easier than I thought it would be!" YOU'VE GOT THIS! xoxo
Hello, It's a great video I liked it ! And I think it's really great that you try boulders at your max level and above, it's the best way to progress fast ! But I have a critique about the video, and maybe other peoples will disagree : I personally think you are cutting to much of the climbing part. It was great when you were trying the hard boulders at the start, we were seeing your full attempts, but when you started board climbing, you started cutting to much video, at the point where we weren't even seeing your attempts, and missing most of the movements, and in between the movements. I find it very disorienting, frustrating and hard to follow, and I was also sad to not be able to see your full attempts. And then same thing when you started climbing on the wall again, we basicaly did not see you climbing at all, or just the last movement, like for the white v5 flash, and I really think it's a shame because I clicked on the video to see you climbing. Other than that I really liked the video a lot and subscribed for more, to follow your journey ! I hope my english was good enough for you to understand what I m saying haha !
@@yann_mrl1556 Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! Your feedback is super helpful! It’s good to know that you want to see more of the climbing.
