    They are all beautiful but my favorite one is the first one. Thank you for sharing that great video with us. I love watching how you start with a rough rock and end up with a gorgeous cabochon.

    Those are from near Arisaig, making them over 420 million years old instead of 320 million years, since they're Silurian. Really cool, I've always wanted to see one polished!

      These are from Pictou County, Nova Scotia. They arw definitely late carbomiferous about 300-320 million years old. But these type of fossils can be foumd in the devonian as well.

      @@RockhoundingLife Huh, I doubt it to be honest. Is it the same block Terry Doucette found at Big Island? Because that is definitely Silurian, it's just been glacially transported. The gray colour of this piece tells me that it belongs to Arisaig Group rocks, most likely the MacAdam Brook Fm. or something like that. These coquina lenses are not known from the Carboniferous rocks from that area as far as I'm aware. Being older makes it even more interesting in my opinion though!

      @@stormmapping8917 It's from Big Island yes but i've also found similar structures at Blue Beach, mind you not as dense as this example, but they are there. I find it hard to believe they would be glacially transported to both locations from the the same source. But hey...i've seen stranger things.

    Well done Jason. All three are just lovely but my favourite has to be the second and third one that was shown. There is something quite Monet ish ( one of my favourite painters ) about them. I know that they are fossils but once polished and set in those beautiful pendants, they almost look like flowers. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Sending love from Ontario. Hope everyone is well. ❤

    Hi neighbour. From N.B. here. I'm very interested in what I can find in my area. I live on an island so there are lots of beaches.
    Thinking about tumbling first then see how it goes.

    That was pretty click-baity. We are "trapped in the Sun's gravitational pull" but we aren't "in the Sun".

      Technically, we are in the suns gravitational pull.

      @YukonJack 7 місяців тому

      @@RockhoundingLife yes, but we aren't "in" the Sun though affected by the Sun's gravity, and it's the same way with engine black holes like we have in the center of our galaxy.

      Ok.....so what is the relation to the title being click bait?
