imagine if the final cold war map ends with the multiverse coming back and then the final subtitles are "the cycle continues..." that would be so depressing because the 4 main charaters would have done everything for nothing and theyre always doomed to fail
I don’t think theyll bbting the same characters back that they had already worked on for years the shadow man/Monty can come back since they barely worked on those characters during bo3 (I can see them both coming back maybe)

Honestly might be the only thing that saves cod at this point even big zombies streamers can’t take it anymore and won’t bullshit their fans into playing a dead game if they bring back the original story which they are already using old maps so there’s nothing stopping them besides the whole zombies community telling them what the fuck why didn’t we just keep it going instead of “starting a new story by building on the maps of old” so yeah hopefully they realize people aren’t going to support this going forward and they just double down and go back to what wasn’t broken
That would kind of make sense if the next part of the cycle would happen in the next cod game
the rivalry between the shadowman and monty was unmatched and i would’ve loved to see more of their past together

Yeah but Monty was the evil one not the shadow man. Monty just portrayed the shadow man that way so that he could sway primis to aid him I'm victory.Hus voice was calm probably because he's been here an infinite amount of times and knows what is going to happen and accepted defeat prematurely because primis wasn't very smart and trusted Monty so shadow man knew he was screwed and so was everyone else.
@@inspectaslime The Shadow Man is still technically evil, and while Dr Monty isn't exactly a saint, he's not technically evil either, he was just trying to preserve his own life through the only way he knew how, continuing the endless cycle

The point is he’s telling them they are characters for US the player. They are confined to the “loop” of games WE play. We’re the real bad guys in that context, making them suffer in a sense.

I don't think so, the shadow man when talking to Dempsey says that he was talking to imaginary voices that controller his destiny, and those "voices" were us the players which means that the shadow man doesn't know about us players.

I always thought it was a pretty cool concept when the Shadow man was saying that Dr. Monty was the Devil when playing revelations and the idea was that two evils were duking it out.

Not really. If we were there, in that universe, one guy's goal leads us to live, the other doesn't. The Apothicons already destroyed the universe of Shadows of Evil, meaning everyone in Morg City and that entire dimension died as a result.

That's part of his manipulation. He makes it out to sound like the hero, but is only using who he can to help the Apothicans to destroy the universe.
@@Daniel328DT it’s funny because despite being the main antagonist he ended up being more honest than monty at the end of the day, monty was selfish and simply wanted to keep himself alive whereas the shadowman was misled by the dark aether to become evil yet he sometimes felt like the better half because atleast he had a goal, montys plan was to survive and nothing else. Hell I believe eventually the shadowman realised he couldn’t sway Richthofen and the crew so he just told them everything
I mean they're both evil but I think I always thought Dr Monty was the good one until the story progressed. The Shadow man is bi polar his good but try to hide his evilness.

What was the meaning of "Ultimis will prevail" if they all died in the end?
I think it was supposed to have more meaning, but since Black Ops 4 was so poorly received, so much content was cut and stuff was thrown together in ways that didn't make sense and they could never capitalize on that.

As long as the disk of World at War exists, zombies will never end. This is a smart move by treyarch. Make a video game that has a never ending story forever, so no matter which game you play, at which time, it will always be canon no matter what you do. It's sad to think that zombies might not have a legitimate end forever, but it is intriguing none the less.

Was the Shadowman maybe impersonating Primis Richtofen? Could he maybe have given Nikolai a fake Kronorium to read, which prompted him to kill them all off?
Shadowman took over Agartha with relative ease, and Monty barely fought back, if at all. Without Primis, or Ultimis, in his way, what would stop him from taking over the entire Dark Aether?
You could argue the Shadowman was in the Summoning Key, but was he really? We don't know if we're using a post-cycle Summoning Key or not.
On top of that, I believe the events happen roughly around the same time as Shadows of Evil, which means the Shadowman has to be out of the Key there to be trapped in it, but if he's trapped in the key, he can't possibly be there at the same time.
Basically, I think it was all a set-up from Blood and onwards. The Shadowman took on Prichtofen's form, lead them all to their deaths, and prepared to take over the Dark Aether as the only 8 who have historically stopped him cease to be...
This is just my dumb headcanon theory, until proven wrong.
Side note: Samuel didn't call the frozen Richtofen by name. He was cut off calling him a "that". Doesn't sound like something he'd call his great pal and "the nicest guy in the universe".
Also, does the Prichtofen in Alpha Omega even talk to Stuhlinger after Blood of the Dead? Seems odd when the one in Blood could, and Ultimis Rich could in Tag der Toten..
Interesting theory, but the Shadow Man rejoin Dr. Monty when the Aether was consumed by the Dark Aether. He knew all of this, so it wouldn't make sense. Nice theory though.

I think they both had capacity for good and evil. Monty clearly had his own intentions that completely disregard the safety and well-being of the characters. Maybe it was part of both of their plans that the new universe be created and eventually be contaminated by the dark aether. With the way time works in the dark aether (we don't really know much) and knowing that the apothicons and keepers were all sucked into it (unless I'm mistaken) along with the universe that was already overrun. Maybe they all evolved, were corrupted and then made to work together to ensure the continuation of their species. I find it weird that we have seen "evolved" versions of old enemies such as the avogadro but haven't seen much about the fates of apothicons and keepers which were clearly powerful species'. Hope we see more of them in some capacity

What if the final Cold War map ends with the Dark Aether storyline continuing forward after whatever Project Janus is, but the next Black Ops game in 2023 is actually a Black Ops 2 Remake....**EXCEPT**
because of the Dark Aether storyline and the collapsed Multiverse the Bo2 Zombies has been heavily altered in terms of story,
So while you may find yourself at Tranzit, Die Rise, etc. something isn't quite 100% the same about it.

I really, hope the main portions of the Aether story return. Would love my crew back, as well as Victis. The new story currently feels god awful, slow, and having no crew is KILLINg the narrative. Zombies feels super easy too now, as well as the easter eggs, the maps lack the Treyarch zombies feeling, like compare the maps we have to like Der Eisendrache, or Gorod krovi. its missing what made zombies zombies.

Why did Dr Monty need the loop to continue to survive? Did the loop give him power to live and if so does that mean the shadow man would die with the loop broken too?
It's a bit late but Monty needed the loop to keep things contained
The loop basically worked as a way to quarantine the apothicons, along with all the other universes and anything that's just fucked. So by keeping it all trapped in a time loop its unable to progress forward or affect his perfect universe
I feel like there should’ve been a reason our characters were needed
