I’m a Glock and Sig P320 guy. My HK USP Compact 40 remained in my safe until I installed the LEM kit. It’s an instant upgrade. It actually transformed the firearm.( PS. I installed the parts myself, pat on the back. It’s an advanced installation.)
It’s not a difficult installation at all when it comes to working on guns. Installing a Cajun gun works kit on a CZ with a decocker is a bitch. Putting an LEM kit and gray guns short reset kit are very simple.
You sir, have me sold on getting a USP. Bye Bye Glock, hello Hk goodness. Thanks for the video! I wasn't sure how much I'd like a USP and this great to see this upgrade.
Great video and a great explanation. I have a P2000 LEM for EDC and love it. I would add the LEM offers a couple safety features: 1st is the long trigger pull, I would say it's almost impossible to accidentally fire the weapon, 2nd is the visual reference of being able to see the hammer moving. I also find holstering less stressful, simply hold your thumb over the hammer while holstering, if it moves something is moving the trigger. Stop and see what it is. No holes in your leg, unlike some other brands.
I carried the DAO P2000 for many years and I always hated that take up/"slop" on that first trigger pull. I thought of it as wasted movement. I'm thinking bout buying a SA/DA version. But now I'm starting to question whether or not to get it.
Sean, I'm new to the world of handguns. You did a very good job of explaining AND demonstrating the LEM trigger operation and the differences between it and regular double actions pistols.
This was my first time watching you and as an infant in the firearms world, looking to start to walk, I found the format to be excellent. I'm still in the stage of learning to shoot and finding a gun that fits me. Thank you
I'm glad you found something that works for you now. As you develop and grow, so will your equipment preferences. Stick to something and train with it until you feel the need for a change. You'll know when you should upgrade!
Thank you for this video, Sean. I almost passed on a P2000 LEM simply due to it being an unfamiliar set-up (I am a DA/SA guy). Now I am more comfortable getting the pistol and giving it some good range time. Much appreciated!
I just got to toy around with a P2KSK V2 at a gun shop nearby. First time picking one up and my god, though the grip is tiny, somehow that pinky extension both flexes and tightens my fingers together. Full grip and, by god, the most incredible trigger i've ever felt. Made a huge mistake of explaining the trigger to the gentleman behind the counter and i fear he's both going to buy one and tell all of his friends and coworkers. As if they aren't hard enough to find. Your explanation reaffirmed my suspicion that this LEM trigger is essentially not on the scale SA/DA. It just is and i love it. Thank you, sir!
The first pistol I ever bought was a USP. I bought it from a dealer on eBay. That's how long ago I bought it. Still my favorite pistol. I have wanted to put the LEM trigger on it for years and just haven't "pulled the trigger"
5yrs later, and it’s the 1st time I’ve seen this vid. I’ve asked half a dozen “experts” to explain the LEM trigger to me, and they were all wrong! I’m definitely going to have 1 of my USP’s converted. Is Lazy Wolf still up and operating? Thanks for dropping the knowledge!
Sean: Thank you. Your video is by far the best discussion of the LEM trigger I have seen. I may stay with my DA/SA trigger for my HK P2000SK, which my wife carries, but I am seriously considering getting another HK with the LEM trigger 😊
Looking to buy the HK p2000skK. Didn't know if I wanted the V2 with the LEM trigger or the V3. THANK YOU SO MUCH for walking through the description and also making me laugh while watching you be a giant kid and having fun with your gun.
Did you pick one up? I'm set on the V2. They're so hard to find and the lack of available WML and corresponding aiwb holsters makes the purchase all the more daunting.
I know this video is 2 years old but I am very interested in the discount code if you still have it. Just purchased the usp 45 for myself. I've been researching and looking around for builds and upgrades. Your description of the lem trigger is the best I've seen so far, I'm sold. 🙂
Sean this set up is the beginning of something pretty dam good. Most significant UA-camrs have a common feel/look/location/etc to most of their vids. Load that wall up behind you with more HK badassery and run with this idea. Keep it up man, and BTW this was the best LEM explanation video I've seen and there's plenty on UA-cam that really don't convey to the novice what is actually is and does.
That is the intention. Although it is my actual workshop all, so switching things out for a video every time is gonna be ... uh... fun. LOL. I'm glad you like the videos. Thank you so much for the support.
Sean, You Are The MAN!! That was a great video demonstration and educational snippet. Going to follow you going forward. This was my first video on your channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your lessons. Thank You. Your shop background rocks. Thanks again, JT
You can still have safety, I bought safety only plate to maintain the safety when installing LEM on my variant 1. While I was at it I installed the match nickel plated sear spring and match trigger, and installed updated parts. Those with older USPs may also want to upgrade the firing pin, firing pin block, and firing pin black spring to the newer design. This fixes issue with firing pins breaking. Additionally you can install the newer lanyard loop insert with the child lockout.
Excellent video and explanation Sean. I just converted my USP9c to light LEM. I like it but I'm not sure how much yet. It's so different than striker or DA/SA and will require some time behind it. If I do go forward with it I would like to send it to Lazy Wolf.
That long trigger pull should be prepped on your draw, then you jus have that short single-action style pull to deal with for all your shots you will be firing. It is very different than striker. The "break" is clean, but smoother than a striker trigger break. A couple hundred rounds of training and practicing with it... you'll never want to go back. :) At least that was the case with me.
So it would be good for competition but not so much for ccw ya ? I carry a 1911 so I'm used to 3-4 pound triggers . Just thinking more along the line of edc
The LEM trigger is gospel in my world now. That's all I carry. I had all my guns converted before the end of last year. I carry a P30 with an LEM and a trigger job by Rick Holm, and I compete with a USP Expert in LEM with a trigger job as well.
Thank you for explaining this with such detail. I was curious, now I’m informed, and now I’m going to buy a P30L with this trigger because I love shooting and also love the Wick movies. Sadly, this is how I choose to spend my bonuses, lol.
Roger that, I figured it’s far from stock haha. That’s about 300% shorter reset than my LEMs. I am blown away by that. I definitely will have them do at least one of mine whenever they can accept LEM work! Thanks for the vid , the slightly lengthy reset is the one and only thing that even tho I’m very used to it now , the only thing that makes it not 100% perfect and with reset like yours , that makes it 100% perfect for me!! In your opinion and experience , is it 100% just as safe as stock? Mine are carry defense weapons that get gun range use as well. I want to be sure it’s no less safe than stock. I don’t mind the current break at all (4lb 11oz) Mainly want to shorten the reset.
Thanks for making this video Sean as now I finally understand what it is. I've read about it multiple times from varied sources and never really got it. Your explanation and examples were so clear and concise you actually made me feel it sorta virtually. You are also very intuitive with your upfront apology and honest statement that " you're probably gonna wind up spending some money", as you should be a salesman for the product because you sold me on it. Seriously though, very informative, entertaining and appreciated video!
Can you do a video of you shooting your LEM USP Expert? I think that would be an interesting follow up to this video. Would love to see trigger in action. By the way, I enjoy the details, so don’t shy away from it. I don’t find it boring at all.
I'm buying a USP 40 compact from my buddy next weekend and he put the LEM trigger in it. If I wasn't excited about it before I damn sure am now. Looking forward to firing it and getting to know it.
Archie Bunker - I’ve shot a P2000 V2 and hated the trigger. That first pull is long and ugly IME, and the shorter reset on follow up shots isn’t natural or intuitive. On every other gun you’re supposed to let the trigger return fully. I don’t want to train muscle memory for the LEM trigger when that action could be a problem with other firearms. An after market tune up surely makes the trigger pull smoother with a cleaner break. I much prefer the V1 DA/SA with a safety and decocker. You can carry it with the hammer down or cocked and locked. With 1 exception my pistols have a thumb safety that disengages with a down stroke. Keeping them consistent is important to me. Sean - very good explanation of the LEM trigger. Thanks.
Awesome explanation. I recently got the HK45 CT LEM, and it I honestly didnt get LEM until this video. I am plannig to get a V1 p30 to have the decocker on it.
Sean, great point and video! Even though it didn’t work for me personally when I tried it a couple of years ago, I still love the LEM concept. Just that coming from almost 30 years of shooting revolvers and primarily “real” DAO semiautos I’m simply used to releasing the trigger all the way out for follow up shots, and opted instead for an old USP Compact V7 to join my family of other “archaic, obsolete” DAO’s.
Very Helpful i got an HK45c in V1 because the V7 wasnt available im very happy with it and now less disappointed i didnt get the V7 i can see now its definitely something that ill benefit from better with more expirience. The DA weight after decocking for me is a great safety feature.
I'm with ya buddy. I almost walked out with an HK 45 or USP .45 but wound up getting a SIG 1911 Scorpion that I got for almost $500 cheaper than the listed price, too good to pass up and I loved the way it shot so....That said the HK 45 or USP 45 is high on my list, an Expert would be awesome but might be above my price range.
Thanks for the video. Been thinking about converting my HK45CT to LEM. You mentioned a discount on one of the kits, please let me know what you can do. Thanks!
Finally was able to get a P2000 this year in LEM configuration and i don't think i'll be buying another semi-auto in any other trigger configs. I am sold.
Kinda sounds like almost making a hammer-fired gun act like a striker-fired gun. As I understand it, there are variations in the LEM trigger weight-is that true? I appreciate your taking the time to go through this explanation.
Excellent job. Thanks for such an informative, funny and entertaining video, all clearly explained. Very well done and well balanced, one of the best I have seen in a while.
Hey Sean! Love the full description of the lem trigger. My HK P2000 (lem) gets here this week. I’m so excited, but my Glock is gonna be soooo jealous! Thanks for the vid.
Excellent description and explanation of the LEM trigger. The first trigger pull is like a 2-stage rifle trigger. IOW lighter for the long, initial pull then a bit heavier for that last bit within the “reset” window. Subsequent trigger pulls are only the second part with a very short reset (unlike a 2-stage trigger which is the same every time). Awesome for competition, especially if you only use one pistol. I get it. I have a P-2000 with the LEM trigger and I hate the trigger. Why? Because it’s not like any other gun I might hypothetically own. Train with the LEM trigger a bit and then discover that you CAN jam up a revolver by not letting the trigger fully reset. Or miss a shot with another semiauto for the same reason. I literally can’t use the LEM trigger to its full advantage because it messes me up shooting anything else. You don’t like a manual safety. I get that too, but Condition 1 with the older style H&K trigger (safety/decocker) gives me the same trigger pull every time. Assuming of course that muscle memory disengages the safety.
Jamming up a revolver by not letting the trigger out all the way is a symptom of semi-auto pistol training in general, not just the LEM trigger. I ride the reset during recoil on my semi-auto pistols so I can get the next shot off the moment my sights settle back on target without having to waste time in taking slack out of the trigger again. Revolver shooting is a different set of skills because the trigger itself works on a completely different set of mechanical principles. There is no conflict here.
I got the 45c lem. Takes a little getting used to. I had difficulty following the variant chart. I called hk and described what I wanted. A very helpful lady told me which variant I wanted. It was sort of obvious once she explained it. She didn’t even make me sound like an idiot, which I am.
I just picked up my first HK pistol, it is a HK45 T. I love the gun but after watching your video I think I would prefer the LEM trigger. If that discount code offer is still around please let me know. Thank you for the great video and explanation.
Yo thank you very much sir! I been watching videos about the p20 with lem trigger. I hear it's a nicer clean break compared to the da/sa in sa. But no one actually showed the reset and pull in single on the lem. Everyone would show the first long pull the th light sa pull then rest the trigger without racking like a dull mag would and the nice reset and crisp following shots!!! Thank you. Going to grape one now!!!.
2 questions 1) is the lem kit available for civilians? 2a) is milling the slide on a usp for a rmr something tbat your guy at lazy wolf would do? 2b) is milling the slide on a usp for a rmr a bad idea? -great vid and thankyou for your time
Spot on. I carried Glocks for decades, I’m 61 I’ve shot some competitions and short duration former LE ! Striker fire pistols are great for the range but for home or ccw you have to be extra cautious with striker fired. The LEM trigger I did just what you said. Picked it up pulled the trigger, nope just a double action and walked away. I ended up getting a P2000sk as part of a trade. It had the lem trigger. After shooting it for a couple hours, I sold my Glocks. I now own P2000 P2000sk and P30L. First two are lem and P30 Da/Sa decocker and only because no one had it in LEM. I’m now H&K carry man for life. BECAUSE of the LEM trigger, it’s like the safety of Da and speed of striker. ONLY WAY TO GO !!!!!
Nice job. You explained it in a manner that I could understand....nice and simple and along with the visual (that really helped) I now thoroughly understand the operation of the LEM trigger. Thanks Sean!
Best illustration of the LEM trigger .. I always ignored the LEM trigger because I thought it is just another DA only trigger.. Thanks to your explanation I now know that it is not.. It is interesting to see how it works and now my guess is that to take full advantage of it one has to learn how to ride the trigger reset in order to fully maximize the benefit of that Triger usage. I do that with my glocks as the reset is very tactile and that allows me to get the feedback from the trigger and ride the reset. However, in some instances I caught my self just slamming or slabbing (if that is a correct word) the trigger in IDPA matches specially when I was driving my shots at higher firing rates. The DA/SA trigger in SA mode is more forgiving in a trigger slabbing/slamming situation due to the relatively shorter trigger distance.. May be that is not a factor in LEM triggers as well, but by theory it looks like If I allow my finger to travel forward of the reset more than need to I loose that advantage of the LEM trigger - but I guess the only way to tell if that is an issue or not is to shoot a match and judge for myself.. What is your experience with that, do you always control riding the trigger eset or do you do some trigger slabbing from time to time and was that an issue with the LEM trigger.. I would appreciate your answer. Thanks..
As an HK fanboy I can't help but love this dude. Picking up a P2000 and it might be my first LEM, I've always been in the da/sa camp so I'm just gonna have to try one out. Would love to send my 45c to Lazywolf one day.
Just got my P2000SK with LEM trigger today. Hoping to get some range time with it tomorrow. Then I'll have to decide if it'll replace my VP9SK as my EDC. I like the safety inherent in that long (but soft) pull of the 1st shot.
The only inherent safety is in your training. The user. No inanimate object is inherently dangerous or safe. Try both and pick one, then train as if your life depends on it.
That super short reset is not from just installing the LEM trigger. Rick Holms does something more to get it that short. Experimenting I removed the fpb to see if it got shorter and it did. I put the fpb back in and it got a little bit longer. It didn’t matter if I used the 5-6 detent and hollow cylinder which retains the safety with the lem trigger but disables the decocking function of the safety or when I removed the safety using the all the LEM parts. The long HS is still too heavy so I ordered his 10# HS and his light enhanced FPB spring. I shoot with Federal primers which are soft so I shouldn’t get any light strikes.
Very well done explanation of the HK LEM trigger system. I haven't seen it done any better. I'm going to get an HK P30SK with the LEM to pair with my VP9SK. Major side benefit is that I can share magazines between the two. I'm growing somewhat disenchanted with striker fired pistols. The triggers are often so light and short I'm thinking they are not the safest pistols for personal defense. Yes, I know, just a training issue, blah, blah. Overall, the LEM presents itself as an inherently safer way to go without having to 'train' to always remember about decockers, safeties, etc. The longer trigger pull a big plus to prevent discharging the weapon before you intended on that first shot. That happens a lot with short, light triggers. Very well thought out trigger design by HK. More people need to be aware of this option when selecting a personal defense pistol.
Shawn you're a stud! Thank you I did not know what the Lem trigger was and almost sent my brand new USB back to the factory to have a decocker put on it. Now I just feel and look ridiculous! Excellent video I will subscribe thank you!
First of your videos I have seen. I didn’t know the LEM existed but now, for the first time ever, I think I want a HK. Only problem I have now is the expert has that goofy rail instead of a pic rail.
HK was the first pistol manufacturer to even have an accessory rail. They make pic adapters for the USP line. Check HKParts.net and you'll find several options. That is how I mount a SureFire x400 on my USP Expert for night matches. I've had to have a custom Kydex holster made for that combo, but that was easy because there is a custom Kydex holster shop on every street corner in America these days.
Awesome review! Subscribed. I just traded a 1997 model HK USP Compact 40 S&W V1 Stainless for a 2007 model HK P2000 LEM 9mm V2 today. I really think this is going to be the best carry pistol that I've ever owned.
Thanks Sean for another excellent video. To the rest of you 2A friends....If you own an H&K sa/da and haven't yet tried the LEM.......GO TRY ONE! I have it on my P30 SK which is my EDC. You will never go back to sa/da.
I have a P30L in 40 S&W with the LEM trigger and it became my EDC weapon. The trigger is simply incredible. I have been spoiled by the VP9 and VP40 with the combination of the ergonomics of the grip and the easy trigger of a striker fired setup. Easiest weapons I have ever fired. Then I got my P30 and it took it to another level. I could care less about any other manufacturer.
I've not as of yet shot in a competition, and have only concealed carried M&Ps and Glocks. Its crazy that I cannot wrap my mind around why this modification would be a big deal.
Regarding LEM I need to try a LEM but none of the gun shops within 200 miles appear to have them. To summarize LEM: #1. Long but lightweight first trigger pull, gun shoots, #2. Reset the trigger, fire, subsequent lightweight short trigger pulls #3. If release the trigger (instead of reset per #2) then hammer decocks, and any subsequent trigger pulls will be like #1?? Did I get this ight? So the big advantage with LEM is pretty much all in the first shot, since subsequent shots will break similar to the 2nd shot and subsequent ones from a DA/SA gun, right? One thing the LEM does not allow is prior to the first trigger pull, cock the hammer (like on an SA/DA), right?
It is an interesting concept. I've really enjoyed shooting it. I'll be moving to a different pistol in 2020, but this has been a badass setup, and I'll continue to carry my P30 with an LEM trigger.
It IS a 100% single action, it's just that now the hammer is not a good indicator of the main spring status anymore. Whether the spring is compressed or not the hammer is always down. So you got to ask one question: does 1911 need that manual safety because its main spring is compressed, or because its hammer is up? That's why I think LEM trigger needs a manual safety, but that's just me. Other people look at it, it appears like a DAO gun, so they treat it like DAO and that's fine. SIG P320 and P365 are all 100% single action (striker spring is fully compressed, sear only releases the striker), but people still use them with no manual safety at all :)
I'm buying a USP9 v7 LEM this week. I found threaded barrels for sale at $99, my question is do I need to change any of the other internals to fit the barrel or shoot suppressed? My dream has always been to have a suppressed HK, unfortunately I'm not having much luck finding any used USP tactical for sale, plus I really like the idea of the LEM trigger which is why this specific V7 caught my eye.
I haven't had any problems with multiple types of suppressors on several of my HK pistols. But that is too broad of a question as different suppressors with different ammo on different pistols will yield varying results. That being said, I've never had a problem with all sorts of factory ammo and suppressors on any of my threaded HK pistols.
I like the fact you omitted the safety entirely. It's a gun, it's not supposed to be safe, it might make you feel safe, but it's a dangerous tool. Good work.
Just because it doesn't have a safety lever doesn't mean it does not have safety mechanisms inside. Not all pistols have safety levers. This particular variant does not need it. Guns are not safe or dangerous. They are inanimate objects. Safety is relative to the handler.
I hate you! This really is an awesome and informative video but, I HAVE to get one of these triggers now. I wish I had found your video before installing the match trigger in my USP. It was exactly like you said, I'd pick up a pistol at a store or show, pull the trigger and think the same as you did. I'm subscribed now so I don't miss more great videos like this one.
This video has entirely changed my take on triggers for both my carry weapon and my range gun, and for this I thank you Sean. Can this kit be installed by an average Joe using common sense, or does it take a gunsmith familiar with HK's?
The most important feature of the LEM trigger is hat every trigger pull from first to last round takes exactly the same amount of force. The first shot of a standard da/sa trigger takes way more force than all the other shot 'til the end of the mag. Especially in stressful situations in law enforcement constant trigger force helps prevent the accidental firing. That's what the LEM really is about.
If I want to put a LEM trigger to my expert, how should I get it done? Buy the universal LEM trigger and send the trigger with the pistol to the lazy wolf or let a different gunsmith put the trigger in and send it to lazy wolf? Which package should I purchase at Lazy wolf? I saw there are two different packages or there is a special one include install the trigger? I know I ask a lot of questions sorry about that :P
The DA on HK’s DA/SA version is so heavy and doing a trigger job on it is expensive. That being said, the LEM is ABSOLUTELY the best way to go with a HK pistol. I own 2, a P30SK 9mm and a P2000 40 caliber, both LEM’s. My P30L, DA/SA, had some trigger work on it and it’s great now, but I could have saved a lot of money if I had understood the LEM. Just ordered an USP 45 LEM: lovely…..

Great job explaining the LEM while comparing it to the traditional DA/SA models. Now I think I want one.

My pleasure.

Thank you for explaining this with such detail. I was curious, now I’m informed, and now I’m going to buy a P30L with this trigger because I love shooting and also love the Wick movies. Sadly, this is how I choose to spend my bonuses, lol.
You are very welcome.... welcome to the dark side, that is!
Merkin Sed now that you’ve had a bit of time with the P30L what are your thoughts? I’m asking because I just ordered the P30L as my first HK.
I’m a LEM trigger fan as well and am blown away at your reset! None of mine are that short. I may have to look into that.
It is short because of the action work done by Rick Holm at LWG.
Sean, thank you for the great summary of the LEM trigger. Owning over a dozen HK pistols, I look forward to getting one with an LEM trigger!
Very well done. The expert is a phenomenal pistol.
Thank you so much for watching and for the support. I love this gun!
Can you do a video of you shooting your LEM USP Expert? I think that would be an interesting follow up to this video. Would love to see trigger in action. By the way, I enjoy the details, so don’t shy away from it. I don’t find it boring at all.
That's a good idea. I'll put that in the queue.
Love my hk pistal vp9 tactical love the trigger and the way the guns shots
Glad to hear it!
I'm buying a USP 40 compact from my buddy next weekend and he put the LEM trigger in it. If I wasn't excited about it before I damn sure am now. Looking forward to firing it and getting to know it.
Thanks for the valuable info. I'm leaning toward the P2000 V2 (LEM) for my next gun purchase.
That is such a great (and under rated) gun. You'll love it.
Thanks.
I have a LEM P2000 and love it. You won't be sorry.
LEM trigger is fantastic! I get my customers to try it & they fall in love with it! Well done video
ChipsterB I’ve never seen an autopistol from a major manufacturer where “you’re suppose to let the trigger return fully”.
Awesome explanation. I recently got the HK45 CT LEM, and it I honestly didnt get LEM until this video. I am plannig to get a V1 p30 to have the decocker on it.
Do you still have that discount code, I would love to pick up a LEM kit for the USP 45 I just picked up!
Great video. My p2000 sk lem is still with my ffl , I pick it up in a week. Now I understand how to train with it
I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit.
I had the LEM trigger on a USP Compact and hated it. Different strokes.....🤔🤔🤔🤔
why did you hate it
Me too! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills looking at all these comments about how good it is.
It isn't for everyone. Bottom line. Pick something that works for you, and train the hell out of it.
The DA weight after decocking for me is a great safety feature.
i thought they discontinued the usp expert in 09
I really want one in 45 acp with night sights
Nope. I have two. Just released in limited quantities every year.
@@SeanGoBoom that means money money money
Just bought my first HK45 V7 LEM. Great vid. Now I understand what I bought. :). Thank you
Thanks for the video. Been thinking about converting my HK45CT to LEM. You mentioned a discount on one of the kits, please let me know what you can do. Thanks!
Follow this link www.seangoboom.com/hkp and use SEANGOBOOM at checkout.
Watch Euro-optic. They sell them for like 85$ sometimes. Direct from Hk I think they are ~110.
I'm new to HKs.
I found the HK UPS 45C at a pawn shop for $550 and I got it instead of a 1911 and WOW I fell in love with it.
Welcome to the dark side. Your journey has just begun!
Omg.. laughed my ass off during a few of these comments... nicely done. Educational and funny. Perfect learning tool. Thank you
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
Finally was able to get a P2000 this year in LEM configuration and i don't think i'll be buying another semi-auto in any other trigger configs. I am sold.
....... okay I'm buying another HK.
Because you are a person of impeccable taste and discernment.
Very very good breakdown and description of the LEM trigger. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Kinda sounds like almost making a hammer-fired gun act like a striker-fired gun. As I understand it, there are variations in the LEM trigger weight-is that true? I appreciate your taking the time to go through this explanation.
Run a LEM in my P30SK and 45C. My Expert came with V1 installed and LEM. My USP45T is still V1 also
Nice!
A) They make one for the staccato pistols, B) if the fit is too tight, loosen the adjustment screw.
Thank you I just got a used usp 45 and was blown away by the trigger . Now I know what it is . And my Decocker is removed also
Awesome! Thank you SO MUCH! Finally someone who took the time to show and explain things with quite a bit of detail!
I purchased a USP 45 LEM yesterday. I love it!
Nice!
2 questions
1) is the lem kit available for civilians?
2a) is milling the slide on a usp for a rmr something tbat your guy at lazy wolf would do?
2b) is milling the slide on a usp for a rmr a bad idea?
-great vid and thankyou for your time
Thank you for the info
Excellent video specially, on the LEM trigger I am very interested in this LEM for my HK
Thanks
Thanks for the explanation. I have been an HK fan for years and never really understood LEM. Great video!
Nice!
Thank you Sean. No one was ever able to explain this to me. Must have.
My pleasure.
Nice job. You explained it in a manner that I could understand....nice and simple and along with the visual (that really helped) I now thoroughly understand the operation of the LEM trigger. Thanks Sean!
Glad it helped!
Great video. Thanks for the information presented in an understandable presentation. Just a great video all around.
Thanks..
1:40 actually not boring at all, this helped me understand quite a bit.
As an HK fanboy I can't help but love this dude. Picking up a P2000 and it might be my first LEM, I've always been in the da/sa camp so I'm just gonna have to try one out. Would love to send my 45c to Lazywolf one day.
My HK45T done up by Lazy Wolf is SO nice! You'd love it.
Holy crap!!! An explanation in English!!! Thank you!!
De nada
Just got my P2000SK with LEM trigger today. Hoping to get some range time with it tomorrow. Then I'll have to decide if it'll replace my VP9SK as my EDC. I like the safety inherent in that long (but soft) pull of the 1st shot.
The only inherent safety is in your training. The user. No inanimate object is inherently dangerous or safe. Try both and pick one, then train as if your life depends on it.
@@SeanGoBoom Agreed. That was poorly worded, but I'm with you on that. Nothing is "safe", and I plan on training. Thanks!
Wow! Wish I had seen this before I just bought my p30. Great format BTW.
You can get an LEM conversion kit and have it installed. The triggers are designed to be modular.
Well done video. Transitioned to LEM years ago after studying topics on HKPro.
Wise move! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for breaking this down, I kept seeing this at my shop and didn't care for much until this video. Great video. 🤙
Any time!
Rick works some amazing magic.
It is a training and taste thing. For me, LEM is life.
Very good video, straight my head -10:17 out on the LEM.TRIGGER
Huh. I never really understood the hype around the LEM trigger. Glad I watched this video. Thanks!’
Glad to help
Shawn you're a stud! Thank you I did not know what the Lem trigger was and almost sent my brand new USB back to the factory to have a decocker put on it. Now I just feel and look ridiculous! Excellent video I will subscribe thank you!
Glad it helped! Keep shooting!
Excellent explanation.
Awesome review! Subscribed. I just traded a 1997 model HK USP Compact 40 S&W V1 Stainless for a 2007 model HK P2000 LEM 9mm V2 today. I really think this is going to be the best carry pistol that I've ever owned.
Nice!
I have not seen a good video in awhile till now very nice Presentation
Sorry a 3 year old video had to serve as seeing one recently, but glad you liked it.
Thanks Sean for another excellent video. To the rest of you 2A friends....If you own an H&K sa/da and haven't yet tried the LEM.......GO TRY ONE! I have it on my P30 SK which is my EDC. You will never go back to sa/da.
Great suggestion!
I have the LEM trigger in my P30L and it shoots like a dream.
Glad you like it. It is a great option... the best one HK offers.
Very informative and well explained video. Keep up the good work. I liked the format.
Glad you found something that works for you. That is hard for some people.
Thank you!! I got my HK P30 last week. This taught me something. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent explanation .. one of the best videos I have seen and really understood what the LEM modification does. Fantastic!
Thank you so much of you kind words. It means a lot!
Great video, extremely insightful.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I've not as of yet shot in a competition, and have only concealed carried M&Ps and Glocks. Its crazy that I cannot wrap my mind around why this modification would be a big deal.
Regarding LEM
I need to try a LEM but none of the gun shops within 200 miles appear to have them. To summarize LEM:
#1. Long but lightweight first trigger pull, gun shoots,
#2. Reset the trigger, fire, subsequent lightweight short trigger pulls
Bad ass trigger. Love my VP9.
This almost takes a double action to a single. This would be sweet for my buddy's Beretta.
Great video thanks for one of the best LEM vids I've yet seen !
I appreciate that!
This is my first time watching, I like your style you seem down to earth.keep up the good work
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Have you considered releasing a video showing how you hold and shoot your USP? It would definitely help me fine tune my technique. Thanks!
I’m happy to do that.
This video has entirely changed my take on triggers for both my carry weapon and my range gun, and for this I thank you Sean. Can this kit be installed by an average Joe using common sense, or does it take a gunsmith familiar with HK's?
I don't trust myself as a gunsmith at all. So I am really not the guy to answer that question. Glad you like the video though.
Agreed.
I have Rick at Lazy Wolf Guns do all of my HK trigger work.
Nice video!!! The new bersa tpr9 trigger reset is just like that!
Sounds like a sweet setup!
Very informational video Sean. I just purchased the P30 in .40 cal with the LEM trigger. I love it! Keep up the good work bro!
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. Glad you like the video.
when you decock at 2:00 is it possible to accidentally discharge a round?
Using a decock lever makes discharging a round a mechanical impossibility. That is the entire point of such a mechanism.
@@SeanGoBoom appreciate you good sir
The DA on HK’s DA/SA version is so heavy and doing a trigger job on it is expensive. That being said, the LEM is ABSOLUTELY the best way to go with a HK pistol. I own 2, a P30SK 9mm and a P2000 40 caliber, both LEM’s. My P30L, DA/SA, had some trigger work on it and it’s great now, but I could have saved a lot of money if I had understood the LEM. Just ordered an USP 45 LEM: lovely…..
