for older women - do charlize theron, or rachel weisz and olivia coleman! would also be interested in seeing a discussion about american actors vs british/european actors and the approaches they take
I think an in depth analysis of Dolly Parton would be MONUMENTAL for this channel!
Omg
@lorryhill
OMG YES
“It’s takes a whole lot of money to look this cheap!”
Dolly is queen
Yes! I know she has admitted to having surgery but a full breakdown would be wonderful.
"the only way to live is to actually age" amazing Lorry
As a former tattoo artist who does permanent makeup I’d like to add to the stretch mark concealment answer- you can disguise scars or stretch marks with skin tone ink, but if you tan or get paler, the ink does not change with your skin tone since it is permanently one color. Spray tan if you need to tan or wear sunscreen to prevent a skin color change!
Have you ever done eyebrows for burn victims or nipples for mastectomy patients who got breast reconstruction?
I would not advise anyone to spray tan
@@sarahdiehl2672 why?
Would this work for self harm scars?
Thx for the info.😊👍
"the only way to live is to age" great advice, Lorry!!!!!
Older ladies suggestions: Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, Angela Bassett, Julia Roberts, Renee Zellweger.
I would be so keen for Angela Bassett! She is BEAUTIFUL. I'd also be interested in Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlin, Susan Sarandan and Sigourney Weaver
I’m a firm believe in giant hats. As someone who doesn’t tan and only burns, giant hats are a must have for sun protection.
I have one that has spf materials built in
Or umbrellas
Or parasols! Sunscreen on a stick.
@@missgingerlime I want a parasol now. lol
Would love to see a Kibbe Body Type video. You're the one who introduced me to research it and I've fallen down the rabbit hole. It made me appreciate my body more and also see the beauty in everyone else as well. I definitely think you're a gorgeous SD!
Thanks so much and yeah you could be right; glad that Kibbe resonated with you!
I found that Kibbe helped my confidence too!!! I think it helps to know that individual features I was insecure about aren’t flaws, but part of my overall shape, and if you dress properly for them, they can be some of your best features!
@@jacquelinemarcel7439 agree!
I’d love a video about Kibbe-types and plastic surgery! Kibbe takes the approach of natural beauty traits in each type and I think there’s something to be learned in that what comes the enhancements too. Not all procedures fit all the types equally. And some procedures might make you shine more than others. I do think there are celebrity examples of both.
Yeah, Id like to hear your take on Kibbe.
20-somethings...LEAVE YOUR FACES AND BODIES ALONE. They continue to change into your 30s. If you feel that something on your body is seriously damaging your self esteem, address it in therapy first if you can. Then make your decision. Your body and face should NOT be "trendy." Early cosmetic work will make you age prematurely, because of constant upkeep and the belief that you have to do more. People who take good care of their health and fitness look younger in their 40s and 50s than their surgically altered counterparts, every time.
How does my nosejob make me age faster?
Plus I eat clean vegan and work out daily, so calm down.
You sound very sensitive about it.
This comment is so true. And your body continues to change after 30’s. The body is changing until we die.
True! In my 20s I had some real problems with my facial features but now at 39, I have really come to love my face...
I totally agree, although if you are squinting please get your eyesight tested, as wearing glasses and or contacts, can definitely stop extra wrinkles on your forehead and around the eyes.
Lorry, I want to thank you for the work you do. My entire perspective on plastic surgery has changed because of you. You are kind and non-judgmental, but at the same time, you stand by what you say and aren't afraid to speak on what the pictures of "celebrities" show, no matter how much they deny.
I got veneers done in Turkey! Of course, I was living in Turkey at the time, I didn't travel for it. I had some damage to my front teeth which prevented me from smiling for years. I saw a skilled American dentist in Izmir who gave me veneers on my front four teeth, and the results changed my life. I also paid a fraction of what it would have cost me in the States. I was very happy with the work I had done there!! A friend of mine there also had a breast augmentation and was very satisfied with her results. I think the same advice Lorry gives about American doctors applies overseas; do your research and make sure you trust the person and understand exactly what you are having done. There are skilled doctors all over the world.
Although I’m in my 20’s I’m strongly considering veneers, only because a dentist before messed up my teeth and my enamel looks damaged. Not sure what else I could do aside from implants
@@Koshkinayekaterina I highly recommend it, if you can afford to have it done. (I'm a teacher so it's lucky I was living in Turkey at the time, I could never afford that sort of cosmetic dentistry in the States!) For ten years I covered my mouth every time I smiled, I was so ashamed of how my teeth looked. Now I love smiling and people always tell me what a gorgeous smile I was blessed with. Haha, blessed by a fabulous dentist! I never understood why people have cosmetic procedures until I had my veneers done; they totally changed my life.
@@agentgirl0205want veneers done too.. What was your dentist called? People keep talking me out of it and saying I’ll end up with a terrible job cause it’s not here where Im from in the UK but.. it’s SUPER expensive here.
@@psychomaia his name is Dr. Trent Loiseau in Izmir. I think he has a practice now in Germany as well and don't know how he splits the time between the two countries. That said, he does exceptional work and it's worth looking him up if you are interested in traveling for a reliable doctor. Izmir is also an incredible city that not many people have the opportunity to visit.
I was an Emergency registered nurse x40 years. Medical doctors are licensed in each State, in the USA. I recommend searching a doctor on the "(state ur having surgery in) State Board of Medicine". The Board doesn't denote a surgeons ability. It lists patient complaints, legal & disciplinary issues, license revocations & temporary or permanent suspensions due to a variety of complaints. For example substance addictions, unprofessional behavior (verbal abuse) or non traditional "experimental treatments". Even with all my researching. I had a "botched breast augmentation". I'm a breast cancer survivor of 22 years. After 21 years both silicone implants ruptured. The latest recommendation is to have them replaced every 10 years. Breast pain was a 10/10 (pain scale is 0-10) 10 being the worst pain you've ever experienced. Two months after my most recent surgery, I developed left breast 10/10. My lowest pain level with pain medicine is a 8/10, 24/7. Needless to say I'm having the implants permanently removed as soon as possible by a different surgeon. No position is comfortable, I wear a bra 24/7, 1 implant has a pressure-throbbing pain 24/7, the shapes don't match- 1 has "rippling" & the other is a firm as an apple. Both feel like they're under my armpits. I cry nearly every day. Constant pain & basically no sleep make it difficult to shower, get dressed, prepare meals, socialize & do yardwork which I love to do. I didn't have "unrealistic expectations" about the surgery results. I'm not asking for sympathy. Thx for allowing me to share my frustration & anger. Plz be forewarned that any cosmetic surgery has risks & results vary depending on the expertise of the surgeon. 😥
The possible side effect of Coolsculpting you’re referring to is not lymphedema but paradoxical adipose hyperplasia ! More commonly seen on male Hispanic patients and at a very low percentage but still very scary
This was a fun Q&A!
For the celebs over 50 suggestions - Sandra Bullock and Helen Mirren are the first that come to my mind. Apologies if you've already made videos on them.
i’m adding michelle yeoh to the list
Julia Roberts too
I’m 63 and don’t want to look younger but look the best I can at my age. There’s lots of procedures I could do however spending that kind of money I just cannot justify.
Aging naturally is OK with me. I want my face to reveal my 7 decades of life. ☺️💝🌸
It’s a personal journey and I respect your decision. I get it that you would rather spend your money on more tangible things but some people work in the beauty industry. It’s their job to stay polished. They wont get the job of their dreams if they don’t invest in themselves. I’ve retired from the beauty industry to raise a child. I’m dreaming of the time she goes to college and I can get a little something done and get back out there. I wouldn’t get hired if I didn’t believe in what I’m selling. Now, my sisters are all different. The richest one won’t get anything done. But if she becomes a widow, she probably would. But two of my other sisters have cosmetic surgeries. Not as much as me but some. My youngest sister never got cosmetic surgery went shopping with me once and I’m 9 years older than her, and the cashier called her my mother. She never went shopping with me again. She went off on the cashier all the way out the door. I’ve had to budget for my procedures. I do think about all the money that I’ve spent once or twice but I wouldn’t change a thing. Now buying new cars is another talk show. I do regret all the money I spent on them.
In my early 20s, I wasn't even thinking about aging/anti-aging. I rarely even wore sunscreen since I don't easily burn. At 34, I noticed aging and got into skincare to do what I can to slow it.
In my early 20s, I went to beauty school. It was 10 years ago almost to the day lol. They'd talk about preventative skin care for me, and I started it. Now I'm in my early 30s, and most people think I'm much younger, like 5-10 years. It definitely helps.
The thing that helped me the most was one of our regulars. Schools are great places to get treatments for cheap and she came in for weekly facials. She was in her 60s, I swear she looked like she was in her 40s. She told me she just did regular skin care since she was my age. No tanning, obviously, sunscreen always. It's worked so far for the both of us. ❤️
Btw I recommend 302 skincare. It's a small brand based out of Idaho and their products revolve around avogen, an avocado extract that seriously does wonders for your skin. I swear by their eye gel, which ironically doesn't have avogen in it but instead a rice extract. I actually use it all over my face
I think its a more common discussion in the last few years, leading more people in general to be interested in learning about skin care and aging. Previously, people only thought about aging when they started visibily aging.. now people in their 20s get sponsored for anti aging products 🤷♀️
I am 25 and fit into what Lorry said, I start to realise aging is beginning for me
@@amandah8258 I imagine influencers have a lot to do with it. I've seen teenagers concerned with aging now.
I hope you are only using rare creams that actually work, as most don't. It's best just to age gracefully as plastic surgery only makes you look older in your 40's.
I think the anxiety around ageing that some young people have might be due to the fact that younger people are often less confident than older people, but while they're young they don't anticipate the increase in confidence, only the ageing.
and the fear of growing up
It’s also because unfortunately men have a hyper-obsession with extremely young women.
That is such a good point! Especially as women we are given this message that aging is a crime rather than a normal part of life and actually you're right: at 38 I'm so much more confident than when I was in my 20s!
@@Thisissssmychannel These men say its aesthetics but perhaps its also about the fact that younger women are often more impressionable and demand less. Sad but true. Luckily there are also men that are secure enough to date and appreciate mature women!
I would love a Kibbe video!!! Your videos are amazing.
I love the way you do your eye make up but every once in a while you show yourself in a little clip without much eye shadow on and you look incredible, such a different vibe, and really naturally gorgeous.
thanks so much!
I had full face CO2 laser resurfacing for my acne scars but I found it really helped with my forehead lines! My dermatologist routinely does erbium/CO2 laser resurfacing for deeper lines, smoker’s lines, etc.
I'd love an analysis of Julianne Moore, Gillian Anderson, or Isabelle Huppert for women over 50!
I would love a body type video! I would also be interested in Cher and Dolly someday.
I asked the same question about preventative aging at the dermatologists' office in my early 20s. He said sunscreen. I have worn sunscreen on my face every day of my life since. I also don't smoke, drink only 2-3 times a year and I'm very active. I'm 30 with two children and I look 24-25.
For someone who wants her breast or tummy done do to weight lost, i always recommed do it if you lost all the weight you need it to,
I was morbid obese and i had my tummy done too early and i keep losing weight and now i still have loose skin 😫
Congratulations on your weight loss, and thank you for your advice!
You said you'd be interested in analyzing older women, PLEASE do Jennifer Connelly! I think she is gorgeous and looks pretty natural but I am curious about your take.
i’m a vegas girl in her mid 20s that’s definitely getting heavy into skincare to make up for lost time. I used to party a lot and be in the sun for hours without protection but over the past few years that’s lessened dramatically and i’ve noticed the positive effects it has on my skin. i’m never outside in the sun for more than 10 minutes a day anymore, if that, and i’ve been pretty good about sunscreen for someone that’s only started using it over the past year. great video as per usual!
Does that affect your mood at all. Taking daily walks outside has lots of cognitive, emotional, and health benefits.
Do you get a head to toe "skin exam" by a dermatologist? I started at age 60. I had a mole that was darker & getting larger. It was removed & was non cancerous. My Dr. Even checked my scalp & the bottom of my feet!☺️👍
"The rejection is about them, not about you."
Does anyone else love how she speaks and pronounces her words? Lol I’m obsessed
Another thing that can contribute to dark undereyes is iron deficiency. I have genetic hyperpigmentation and kind of translucent skin, but I still really benefited from iron supplements because my iron deficiency was just making them appear worse. Also, if you get bloodwork done and your iron levels are at the lower end of the normal range, you will still benefit from iron supplements because you may be manifesting a lot of symptoms anyway. Doesn't hurt to get checked!
I had stretch marks after my first pregnancy , I hated them, they were reddish and itchy. I didn't do anything to them, I let them be and had a second kid 5 years later. As the years passed they sort of blended naturally with my skin to the point I dont see them, they are no longer reddish. My belly skin is a bit rippled but that is all, I call them : The ripples of time ! I like astrophysics and I often hear that the fabric of space is rippled, since looking back to the universe we see in the past, I make the connection with my skin laxity. I am happy to be confident about my body. Now Now I have a small belly and I got a belly laugh! Wonderfull.
So interesting and informative to learn your thoughts! Thank you Lorry! For the analyses of older women, I'd love to learn about how GiIlian Anderson and Michelle Yeoh are managing to look not only great at their age but better than when they were younger!
I just love how open you are!! Not just about your surgeries but also about the struggles of being on UA-cam and admitting that rude comments affect you! I feel like a lot of people prefer to pretend they don't care, which makes sense too as a coping strategy, but I've always wondered about how people deal with mean comments and all the internet craziness
Thank you and yes once channels get over a certain amount of views per video they all start dealing with it! Typically over 30k views !
I would actually love a Kibbie body types video from you. I think you would explain it well!
Yes, please do a Kibbe body video! I really enjoy your channel!

I suspect she didn't have anything done, asian and african woman seems to age less especially if their weight is stable. Not smoking, sun protection , good nutrition and good genes are big factors to look younger.
I would also love a Kibbe body type video! I find it fascinating 🤓💖
Can you do an episode on Old School Hollywood plastic surgery? Hedy Lamarr could be an interesting topic because she supposedly directed her surgeons during her procedures in the 60's and 70's as to where to make their cuts in order to hide scarring.
Lorry, I find you very beautiful not only at face value, but as I’ve come to learn more about you from watching your channel - your transparency, honesty, kindness, and empathy towards others shines thru.
I’m 34, no Botox or filler. What has made the biggest difference for me is using a good vitamin C serum in the daytime, plus spf daily, and then retinol at night. Plus doing my best to not stress 😊
Lorry, i have an idea. Can you do a monthly video about beauty products that your audience reccomend... I just found the scar sheets, and they work! 🤩❤ 👑
Which ones are they ? That's a good idea!
I would absolutely love some kibbe related content from you! 😃❤ my vote goes to SD for you! 😀😍 Also, you rock, thanks for the great advice!🥰😊
We appreciate your transparency, Lorry. God bless you.
Hey guys, I live in Turkey in Istanbul. Here is the mecca of hair-transplant procedures🤣 it’s really cheap since we can be considered as a poor country anymore 😅 and all the service included won’t cost you a fortune. Btw there’s a billion of patient travelling for plastic surgery since it’s really affordable here. Always keep in your mind , if you have time and opportunity İstanbul is a great idea. Btw Izmir is a good option too if you say İstanbul is a bit chaotic.
Please do a kibbe video!! Like you said, a lot of people dont know what it is, but hopefully you can help show more people what it is. I’ve been so much more confident after finding my body type and dressing more in alignment with it :)
I'm interested too. First time I've heard the term. Thx so much for keeping us updated & educating us too. You do an excellent job. Hugs & love to you & those you love.💝☺️🌷
I would like to say to everyone to enjoy life and youth, because when you are older you will look back and think what was I worried about? ❤
Exactly!
Agreed! 🙌
Thank you for answering my question first ❤ I recommend your channel to friends and even strangers so they can understand the secrecy and POWER that cosmetic procedures has today (and even in the past). Thanks for all you do.
I totally agree that a BBL, at its current mortality rate, is not worth it. However, many people would say the liquid nose job. I disagree with this and have had 4 liquid nose jobs and 2 touch ups and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done for my self confidence. The other thing about the body types - it would be great if you did a video on the “seasons” for people. I have 3 books on the seasons and find it incredibly fascinating. It seems you know your winter colors well!
I love this format! Was fun to see another side of your personality in this video 😊
I agree!
My body changed so much from my 20s to 30s. In the last few years I've finally put on weight and now my chest is "perky" for the first time ever 😅 my weight used to fluctuate a lot for health conditions I didn't have under control yet. My major goals right now are physical therapy and sticking to my health goals and it's making such a difference in my appearance I almost don't recognize myself.
Your “opinions”… are… incredibly… … … helpful! I enjoy a few plastic surgeons channels, which are great, but your non-medical information is so important to the decision making process. Doctors have a bias toward being able to do more work, but you don’t have anything to gain, so your perspective as an end-user balances out the doctor-based content that only present the medical perspective. Thanks for your thoroughness.
I didn’t fear it till I hit 45. Then I also realized I wasn’t healing as fast and when I looked tired it wasn’t because I was tired it was because I was getting old. You really have to do a full skin care regimen everyday. You can’t skip a day.
If You let it slide, your face slides. Getting old is not for the weak!
Lorry, as always. Thank you for sharing and being so open and transparent with us. I am very much enjoying your video.
A body type video from you would be great - I find the whole thing confusing but fascinating - I love that you mentioned weight training - I would add that nutrition is very important to preventing cellular degeneration (aging)
I love your QnAs so much. you're so carefully spoken and intelligent and i just love listening to you talk!!!

Thank you so much for answering my questions, Lorry!
Another preventative measure to age gracefully, everything lorry suggested (no smoking, drinking, water etc) but also if you squint - like I did, please get your eyes checked as I have loads of wrinkles in my forehead and around my eyes, all because I didn't wear glasses or contacts. That's a big mistake I made. I've just decided to age gracefully. Tbh, I can notice fillers, Botox on my friends & it doesn't look right. But each to their own, it's your body.

Always great work, Lorry! Thank you for helping us remove the veil of secrecy and appreciate ourselves more. As a man, I find your videos really helpful (yes, we also get insecure about looks!). I would really love to get an analysis on Kylie Minogue: I feel like she is ageing backwards, and doesn't seem to have any obvious signs of surgery. Would love to know your expert opinion! I'd love to know about Liv Tyler :) She's my fav but I won't leave nasty comments if she isn't a 100% natural elven princess (promise!)
I have often thought that Lorry reminds me of Arwen! The hair, the shape of the face, and the warm, caring personality 🧝♀️ (there is no brunette elf option in emoji! Different skin tones, including the traditional Lego yellow, but all have blonde hair 😂)
When you post a new video it always brightens my day!! Thanks for keeping it real Lorry 👏🏼❤️
At 3:13...amazing, well-thought out answer to the question on feelings about aging when in the 20s. You're absolutely right. Priorities shift and self confidence grows as we mature. It's fantastic when looks stop being everything.

What makes it surreal? Is it a really niche thing?
@@iCodeSwitch I don't know how niche it's considered, but it's something I rarely hear come up in casual conversation so Lorry was the first non Kibbe-centric UA-camr I've heard mention it.

Thank you for answering my questions ❤❤. I agree that self beauty perception is highly influenced by emotion. I also have a six old lol. I absolutely love you channel, you and the content.
Hi Lorry. Let me start off by saying that I truly enjoyed this episode. I love your channel for the mere fact that you’re so honest and transparent with everything, in addition to sounding extremely kind. I think you’re beautiful both inside and out… I’m 45 female and have never gotten any cosmetic procedures done. I don’t have high self esteem but I think God made me the way I am and I try to live my life with as much grace as possible. I have a 18 yr old daughter and I encourage her to love herself the way she is as well. I never, however judge anyone who decides to enhance the way they look. I just want you to know that you have fans from ALL different walks of life. I will never get any plastic surgeries but I watch your videos regularly because it’s EDUCATIONAL and ENTERTAINING. Please continue doing what you love & enjoy because your work matters!! P. S. For older audiences like me I would love to see more videos about mature celebrities or say, videos for little more mature audiences with a focus on skin care… Thank you for all you do ❤ and please say hello to your sweet son from all of us 😍he’s adorable 🥰

I would love a Kibbe video! i love the typing system
I actually would love a Kibbe ID video!
Love your content, and your honest but respectful opinions ❤️
Great video as always! As someone now in my mid-30s, heading to latter 30s, I can definitely see the impact of lifestyle choices earlier in life. I have never smoked, drink rarely and have always avoided the sun as much as possible! Even travelling I would always were thick layers of sunscreen and protective clothing, including my signature UPF sun protection large red hat. I truly think that I look good for my age because of these things and a general healthy lifestyle (good diet and vigourous exercise) and obviously genetics play a role as well.
I love Kibbe and it is such a coincidence as I saw today that you had posted on an old Kibbe post on Reddit and I was so pleased to see you were interested in Kibbe too. I would guess you were Soft Dramatic not Dramatic Classic. I myself bounced between Flamboyant Natural and Dramatic Classic but ended up at Dramatic.
I'd love to see an analysis of Charisma Carpenter. She's a little over 50 and I think she looks fantastic!
Yes!! I’d love a Kibbe based video 💖
If you have stretch marks on your stomach you can get a tummy tuck and the skin is smoothed out.
Just FYI Kibbe is NOT a body type system but a styling system!
It’s basically your yin yang balance so in others words how much sharpness and angularity or softness and roundness do you have. And the essence that peaks through plays a good part too to know which one’s kibbe type is.
It really is a styling system because it classifies and reveals how clothes fall on our bodies.
What parts or adjectives are the most prominent.
There are vertical, width, balance, petite, curve, double curve. It translates in clothes and how each clothes accommodate those parts. Basically if you are tall (above 5’8), you have automatically vertical so the only Kibbe Types left possible are Dramatic, Soft Dramatic and Flamboyant Natural.
I repeat myself but it’s not a body typing system because no matter if you’re a hourglass body type for example, everybody can be a hourglass no matter if they are a FN, Soft Classic, Gamine or Romantic.
Even if each share the same body type, clothes will never look the same on any of these bodies. Hence why Kibbe concerns how clothes fall on you. It’s a styling system so for each category, you have clothes that look better on you, that look harmonious, look like an extension on you: it’s enhancing your natural features and you look naturally put together.
It tells which length, cuts, fabrics, patterns look best.
A Dramatic would rock sleek, tailored, fitted and long lines m clothes as well monochromatic looks not to break the vertical.
A Natural would look best in relaxed, simple, loose but structured in the shoulders, a V-neck, anything that embraces an openness in their upper body, and natural fabrics like leather, jeans, knits
A Classic is balanced, so they are either Dramatic Classic (balanced but vertical and sharp) or Soft Classic (balanced but soft and curve). They would look good in any timeless, polished, minimalist, lady-like, old money outfits.
A Gamine would look good in short outfits, boxy shapes à la Chanel, geometric patterns
A Romantic would look good in flowing, round, soft cuts and fabrics so they would not look good in leather for example or any geometric patterns and cuts like a V-neck.
Other example, a Theatrical Romantic looks good when they put « drama » in their looks, so unlike a Natural that looks good in simple relaxed look or a Classic that looks good in minimalist but polished look, a TR needs jewelleries, ornaments, accessories, a non-natural makeup to really look harmonious within their natural features.
So as it’s a styling system, it doesn’t not only help gather what clothes look best on each type but also what accessories, hairstyle and makeup look best
