As a former tattoo artist who does permanent makeup I’d like to add to the stretch mark concealment answer- you can disguise scars or stretch marks with skin tone ink, but if you tan or get paler, the ink does not change with your skin tone since it is permanently one color. Spray tan if you need to tan or wear sunscreen to prevent a skin color change!

20-somethings...LEAVE YOUR FACES AND BODIES ALONE. They continue to change into your 30s. If you feel that something on your body is seriously damaging your self esteem, address it in therapy first if you can. Then make your decision. Your body and face should NOT be "trendy." Early cosmetic work will make you age prematurely, because of constant upkeep and the belief that you have to do more. People who take good care of their health and fitness look younger in their 40s and 50s than their surgically altered counterparts, every time.

I got veneers done in Turkey! Of course, I was living in Turkey at the time, I didn't travel for it. I had some damage to my front teeth which prevented me from smiling for years. I saw a skilled American dentist in Izmir who gave me veneers on my front four teeth, and the results changed my life. I also paid a fraction of what it would have cost me in the States. I was very happy with the work I had done there!! A friend of mine there also had a breast augmentation and was very satisfied with her results. I think the same advice Lorry gives about American doctors applies overseas; do your research and make sure you trust the person and understand exactly what you are having done. There are skilled doctors all over the world.

I was an Emergency registered nurse x40 years. Medical doctors are licensed in each State, in the USA. I recommend searching a doctor on the "(state ur having surgery in) State Board of Medicine". The Board doesn't denote a surgeons ability. It lists patient complaints, legal & disciplinary issues, license revocations & temporary or permanent suspensions due to a variety of complaints. For example substance addictions, unprofessional behavior (verbal abuse) or non traditional "experimental treatments". Even with all my researching. I had a "botched breast augmentation". I'm a breast cancer survivor of 22 years. After 21 years both silicone implants ruptured. The latest recommendation is to have them replaced every 10 years. Breast pain was a 10/10 (pain scale is 0-10) 10 being the worst pain you've ever experienced. Two months after my most recent surgery, I developed left breast 10/10. My lowest pain level with pain medicine is a 8/10, 24/7. Needless to say I'm having the implants permanently removed as soon as possible by a different surgeon. No position is comfortable, I wear a bra 24/7, 1 implant has a pressure-throbbing pain 24/7, the shapes don't match- 1 has "rippling" & the other is a firm as an apple. Both feel like they're under my armpits. I cry nearly every day. Constant pain & basically no sleep make it difficult to shower, get dressed, prepare meals, socialize & do yardwork which I love to do. I didn't have "unrealistic expectations" about the surgery results. I'm not asking for sympathy. Thx for allowing me to share my frustration & anger. Plz be forewarned that any cosmetic surgery has risks & results vary depending on the expertise of the surgeon. 😥

It’s a personal journey and I respect your decision. I get it that you would rather spend your money on more tangible things but some people work in the beauty industry. It’s their job to stay polished. They wont get the job of their dreams if they don’t invest in themselves. I’ve retired from the beauty industry to raise a child. I’m dreaming of the time she goes to college and I can get a little something done and get back out there. I wouldn’t get hired if I didn’t believe in what I’m selling. Now, my sisters are all different. The richest one won’t get anything done. But if she becomes a widow, she probably would. But two of my other sisters have cosmetic surgeries. Not as much as me but some. My youngest sister never got cosmetic surgery went shopping with me once and I’m 9 years older than her, and the cashier called her my mother. She never went shopping with me again. She went off on the cashier all the way out the door. I’ve had to budget for my procedures. I do think about all the money that I’ve spent once or twice but I wouldn’t change a thing. Now buying new cars is another talk show. I do regret all the money I spent on them.

In my early 20s, I went to beauty school. It was 10 years ago almost to the day lol. They'd talk about preventative skin care for me, and I started it. Now I'm in my early 30s, and most people think I'm much younger, like 5-10 years. It definitely helps.
The thing that helped me the most was one of our regulars. Schools are great places to get treatments for cheap and she came in for weekly facials. She was in her 60s, I swear she looked like she was in her 40s. She told me she just did regular skin care since she was my age. No tanning, obviously, sunscreen always. It's worked so far for the both of us. ❤️
Btw I recommend 302 skincare. It's a small brand based out of Idaho and their products revolve around avogen, an avocado extract that seriously does wonders for your skin. I swear by their eye gel, which ironically doesn't have avogen in it but instead a rice extract. I actually use it all over my face

I have genetic hyperpigmentation and kind of translucent skin, but I still really benefited from iron supplements because my iron deficiency was just making them appear worse. Hey guys, I live in Turkey in Istanbul. Here is the mecca of hair-transplant procedures🤣 it’s really cheap since we can be considered as a poor country anymore 😅 and all the service included won’t cost you a fortune. Btw there’s a billion of patient travelling for plastic surgery since it’s really affordable here. Always keep in your mind , if you have time and opportunity İstanbul is a great idea. Btw Izmir is a good option too if you say İstanbul is a bit chaotic.

I totally agree that a BBL, at its current mortality rate, is not worth it. However, many people would say the liquid nose job. I disagree with this and have had 4 liquid nose jobs and 2 touch ups and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done for my self confidence. The other thing about the body types - it would be great if you did a video on the “seasons” for people. I have 3 books on the seasons and find it incredibly fascinating. It seems you know your winter colors well!

My body changed so much from my 20s to 30s. In the last few years I've finally put on weight and now my chest is "perky" for the first time ever 😅 my weight used to fluctuate a lot for health conditions I didn't have under control yet. My major goals right now are physical therapy and sticking to my health goals and it's making such a difference in my appearance I almost don't recognize myself.

Your “opinions”… are… incredibly… … … helpful! I enjoy a few plastic surgeons channels, which are great, but your non-medical information is so important to the decision making process. Doctors have a bias toward being able to do more work, but you don’t have anything to gain, so your perspective as an end-user balances out the doctor-based content that only present the medical perspective. Thanks for your thoroughness.

I didn’t fear it till I hit 45. Then I also realized I wasn’t healing as fast and when I looked tired it wasn’t because I was tired it was because I was getting old. You really have to do a full skin care regimen everyday. You can’t skip a day.
If You let it slide, your face slides. Getting old is not for the weak!

Another preventative measure to age gracefully, everything lorry suggested (no smoking, drinking, water etc) but also if you squint - like I did, please get your eyes checked as I have loads of wrinkles in my forehead and around my eyes, all because I didn't wear glasses or contacts. That's a big mistake I made. I've just decided to age gracefully. Tbh, I can notice fillers, Botox on my friends & it doesn't look right. But each to their own, it's your body.

Hi Lorry. Let me start off by saying that I truly enjoyed this episode. I love your channel for the mere fact that you’re so honest and transparent with everything, in addition to sounding extremely kind. I think you’re beautiful both inside and out… I’m 45 female and have never gotten any cosmetic procedures done. I don’t have high self esteem but I think God made me the way I am and I try to live my life with as much grace as possible. I have a 18 yr old daughter and I encourage her to love herself the way she is as well. I never, however judge anyone who decides to enhance the way they look. I just want you to know that you have fans from ALL different walks of life. I will never get any plastic surgeries but I watch your videos regularly because it’s EDUCATIONAL and ENTERTAINING. Please continue doing what you love & enjoy because your work matters!! P. S. For older audiences like me I would love to see more videos about mature celebrities or say, videos for little more mature audiences with a focus on skin care… Thank you for all you do ❤ and please say hello to your sweet son from all of us 😍he’s adorable 🥰

Great video as always! As someone now in my mid-30s, heading to latter 30s, I can definitely see the impact of lifestyle choices earlier in life. I have never smoked, drink rarely and have always avoided the sun as much as possible! Even travelling I would always were thick layers of sunscreen and protective clothing, including my signature UPF sun protection large red hat. I truly think that I look good for my age because of these things and a general healthy lifestyle (good diet and vigourous exercise) and obviously genetics play a role as well.
I love Kibbe and it is such a coincidence as I saw today that you had posted on an old Kibbe post on Reddit and I was so pleased to see you were interested in Kibbe too. I would guess you were Soft Dramatic not Dramatic Classic. I myself bounced between Flamboyant Natural and Dramatic Classic but ended up at Dramatic.

Just FYI Kibbe is NOT a body type system but a styling system!
It’s basically your yin yang balance so in others words how much sharpness and angularity or softness and roundness do you have. And the essence that peaks through plays a good part too to know which one’s kibbe type is.
It really is a styling system because it classifies and reveals how clothes fall on our bodies.
What parts or adjectives are the most prominent.
There are vertical, width, balance, petite, curve, double curve. It translates in clothes and how each clothes accommodate those parts. Basically if you are tall (above 5’8), you have automatically vertical so the only Kibbe Types left possible are Dramatic, Soft Dramatic and Flamboyant Natural.
I repeat myself but it’s not a body typing system because no matter if you’re a hourglass body type for example, everybody can be a hourglass no matter if they are a FN, Soft Classic, Gamine or Romantic.
Even if each share the same body type, clothes will never look the same on any of these bodies. Hence why Kibbe concerns how clothes fall on you. It’s a styling system so for each category, you have clothes that look better on you, that look harmonious, look like an extension on you: it’s enhancing your natural features and you look naturally put together.
It tells which length, cuts, fabrics, patterns look best.
A Dramatic would rock sleek, tailored, fitted and long lines m clothes as well monochromatic looks not to break the vertical.
A Natural would look best in relaxed, simple, loose but structured in the shoulders, a V-neck, anything that embraces an openness in their upper body, and natural fabrics like leather, jeans, knits
A Classic is balanced, so they are either Dramatic Classic (balanced but vertical and sharp) or Soft Classic (balanced but soft and curve). They would look good in any timeless, polished, minimalist, lady-like, old money outfits.
A Gamine would look good in short outfits, boxy shapes à la Chanel, geometric patterns
A Romantic would look good in flowing, round, soft cuts and fabrics so they would not look good in leather for example or any geometric patterns and cuts like a V-neck.
Other example, a Theatrical Romantic looks good when they put « drama » in their looks, so unlike a Natural that looks good in simple relaxed look or a Classic that looks good in minimalist but polished look, a TR needs jewelleries, ornaments, accessories, a non-natural makeup to really look harmonious within their natural features.
So as it’s a styling system, it doesn’t not only help gather what clothes look best on each type but also what accessories, hairstyle and makeup look best
