I think if someone wants their eyebrows higher up on their face, a ponytail face-lift makes sense even when they're young. But like...Bella Hadid did not need a face-lift. Kim K didn't need a face-lift. Ariana didn't need a face-lift. None of them needed their brows to be adjusted! They looked amazing not just after their surgery, but before, and had already obtained conventional attractiveness. It's really sad to see that they in particular had a procedure that that seriously didn't need, not even in their industries.
I will never understand why Bella changed her whole face to literally look like 15 years older. There is NOTHING wrong with looking older or her own choice to have this procedure, if it was really something she wanted vs. wanting to start an aesthetic 'trend'/'look'. I'm just saying, I do not get why so many young women think they need to suck their face so tight upward, they change SO much of their natural beauty and structure. I also think it is worth further discussion, that these types of lifts are often marketed as making one look more "exotic", when for years and years, these features were never lauded for their beauty when they were not on a white person's face.

Lorry could you do a video about certain procedures that could age you if done incorrectly? For example a lot of celebs gets blepharoplasty (i.e. Nina Dobrev) or cheek implants (i.e. Courtney Cox) to look younger but for some reason it had the opposite effect
I only found Lorry’s channel recently but I am obsessed. It makes me feel so much better about myself knowing that these celebrities have gone through a lot of expensive pain to get where they are today. I only ever look at myself in terms of beauty, I’m never going to look like Bella Hadid for example so why compare? If I want bigger lips on my face or to change the shape of my nose then that’s all good but looking at another face and wanting features just like theirs doesn’t work in my opinion!! I'm so glad you mentioned standardised photo comparisons! I hate seeing these surgeons on Instagram using an after photo from a patient that's a selfie the patient took themselves in completely different lighting and half the time, has filters on it! then the surgeon says 'that's the photos the patients sent me' ok fine but it's not accurate when it's filtered to hell with a completely different lens and lighting. Frankly it's unprofessional and misleading advertising.

As someone who doesn't know much about plastic surgery (or noninvasive procedures) I kept wondering how some of these instagrammers/celebs are aging backwards and looking so young. I Love learning about all these different procedures, not because I want to get any, but because I'm learning what modified beauty is and not comparing myself to any of it.

Yes!! I think she’s had Botox and fillers and has really stayed out of the sun. Not sure if she has any kids or not, but if not, I have noticed childless women that I know always look younger in the older age groups. I have a childless friend that is 38 and everyone thinks she is 27

My mom used to give me the ponytail lift 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚍𝚊𝚢 for school! She would comb my hair so tight in pigtails and braids that my face would take hours to relax. To this day, i still love the feeling of my face being pulled super tightly by my hair.

Also, the Kardashians have definitely had an upper hand with plastic surgery. Kim had a BBL long before it was even a thing. Back in her leaked tape she had the scars! Even in the show they showed her getting a cellulite treatment and you could see scarring.

Because these types of facelifts aren't done for anti aging purposes. The surgeon even said in this video that those type of facelifts aren't done to remove sagging skin. It's just done to alter the look of their features.

I'm a classical portrait sculptor. I know beauty. It was not my expectation to have facial surgery at 44, but I got terribly sick and it aged me. I knew bone structure and musculature and wanted to fix what I saw: a premature aging face. I knew that was no amount of makeup or contouring could change that. I got a mini-lift and a brow lift. The total price (with anesthesia) was 7,000. It lasted about 7 years. At 51, I got another mini-lift. Then at 60, I got one more. These procedures do not last forever but I've managed to look as good and natural as possible as I've aged. It didn't hurt that people mistook me for Juliette Binoche. Well, sometimes. I'm 67 now, and will probably do fat-grafting. These are small things just to keep looking 'fit' and feeling good about yourself. Amortized over 28 years, the cost was 1,000 per year.
@@LorryHill Yes. I wanted to give input into an 'older' person's experience with beauty and facial surgery/maintenance. Here in L.A., (I work in animation/movies/TV) we have to 'look' young. Yes. We have to give the impression we are youthful so directors will want to work with us. They know we're seasoned vets, but no wandering around looking like a gramma with grey hair and flab. The women in my circle of co-workers are respected, but we have a shelf-life if we are not young and 'hot'. We need to dress (not provocatively) to look youthful. Keep attitudes and personalities of a younger person. More artistically hip than refined. It's a fun workplace. So how did that work out for me? Very well. Until recently, my husband's been interested. Haha. I say 'change what you don't like about yourself", and that includes your face and beauty. Then be who you are and don't obsess about the rest. There's so much to be grateful for. Let's enjoy life!

The ponytail face lift is extremely expensive. I once checked it out and hooooooooly shnoozle no thank you. The doctor that first started it charged around $150,000 USD when he was the only one to perform it exclusively.

I’m starting to realize that people don’t actually look younger after plastic surgery, fillers, Botox. They just look their age, but with work done. I think Botox is the furthest I would go for plastic surgery, knowing I would still look my age with a tiny bit less wrinkles and a tiny bit less movement.

These are great procedures, I'm glad that they exist! The thing I dislike about the ponytail lift is that it makes everyone look like clones of each other, in my opinion

In some photos I like the ponytail lift but in some it looks to severe. It really depends on what your going for and what’s the best for you
My mom used to give me the ponytail lift 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚍𝚊𝚢 for school! She would comb my hair so tight in pigtails and braids that my face would take hours to relax. To this day, i still love the feeling of my face being pulled super tightly by my hair.
I would love to see a video on Christie Brinkley. I don't think she had a facelift, but she has definitely had work done. Would love to see your take on her.

I recently been watching KUWTK from the first season and it’s so fun to analyze to see what surgeries they’ve gotten done. Each season it’s something new 😂. I love your videos and they give me such a new outlook on beauty.
Also, the Kardashians have definitely had an upper hand with plastic surgery. Kim had a BBL long before it was even a thing. Back in her leaked tape she had the scars! Even in the show they showed her getting a cellulite treatment and you could see scarring.

Because these types of facelifts aren't done for anti aging purposes. The surgeon even said in this video that those type of facelifts aren't done to remove sagging skin. It's just done to alter the look of their features.
I've never done anything else except Botox. I did it for the first time @ 46!! I'm 61...I am really wanting the jawline done- along with the neck!!

I'm a classical portrait sculptor. I know beauty.
It was not my expectation to have facial surgery at 44, but I got terribly sick and it aged me.
I knew bone structure and musculature and wanted to fix what I saw: a premature aging face. I knew that was no amount of makeup or contouring could change that.
I got a mini-lift and a brow lift. The total price (with anesthesia) was 7,000.
It lasted about 7 years.
At 51, I got another mini-lift. Then at 60, I got one more. These procedures do not last forever but I've managed to look as good and natural as possible as I've aged. It didn't hurt that people mistook me for Juliette Binoche. Well, sometimes.
I'm 67 now, and will probably do fat-grafting.
These are small things just to keep looking 'fit' and feeling good about yourself. Amortized over 28 years, the cost was 1,000 per year.

Here in L.A., (I work in animation/movies/TV) we have to 'look' young. Yes. We have to give the impression we are youthful so directors will want to work with us. They know we're seasoned vets, but no wandering around looking like a gramma with grey hair and flab.
The women in my circle of co-workers are respected, but we have a shelf-life if we are not young and 'hot'. We need to dress (not provocatively) to look youthful. Keep attitudes and personalities of a younger person. More artistically hip than refined. It's a fun workplace.
So how did that work out for me? Very well. Until recently, my husband's been interested. Haha.
I say 'change what you don't like about yourself", and that includes your face and beauty. Then be who you are and don't obsess about the rest.
There's so much to be grateful for. Let's enjoy life!

The ponytail face lift is extremely expensive. I once checked it out and hooooooooly shnoozle no thank you. The doctor that first started it charged around $150,000 USD when he was the only one to perform it exclusively.
There are now other doctors that do it. Even better than him.

I’m starting to realize that people don’t actually look younger after plastic surgery, fillers, Botox. They just look their age, but with work done. I think Botox is the furthest I would go for plastic surgery, knowing I would still look my age with a tiny bit less wrinkles and a tiny bit less movement.
