Hope i will visit it next yeah. I just love the history of it. As i am a huge fan of Jasper Tudor and the history during and before the war of the roses. Looking forward!!!
I agree, Jasper is an intriguing character and the history of that era and before is fascinating. Pembroke Castle is one of my favourites in South Wales, it is well worth visiting, enjoy your visit next year!
Thanks for your great vedios, that I followed visiting the castles in wales! My humble suggestion isto say a few words on the castle archiecture itself not only the story
@@castlesandlegends I breached It many times as a child. The local kids spent their summers looking for ways to sneak In without paying, and some of those ways were quite hair-raising.😉
Thank you for a very interesting and informative video tour of Pembroke Castle, never been there but would make a point of it if I ever get the the UK again, I’m in Australia you see. England actually had two civil wars, the first one being the Wars of the Roses.
Thank you, if you do ever get over here I would recommend Pembroke, it is one my favourite castles in Wales. Yes England has had other civil wars as well as what we call the English Civil War, I find the Anarchy quite fascinating.
Interesting history on the castle , I've read about Wm Marshall but never knew he was cursed how sad that was to a great man in not having his name carried through history 😢
It is a total disgrace that such national historical monuments are still laying in ruins after all the money that has been raised. Where did all the money go?
Sir Nicholas Kemeys was killed in a battle at Chepstow Castle on the 25th of May 1648. There is a plaque in the Lower Bailey of Chepstow Castle commemorating his death whilst protecting the castle for King Charles I. Some of his descendants live here in Australia.
Wales has so many incredible castles 😊 fantastic views and tour 😊

Indeed, it is such a shame that his name is not better known
Mayor and later colonel John Poyer is my 10th great grandfather! thanks for sharing this history! fascinating to see

Thank you, I have yet to visit Chepstow but great piece of info for when I do 🙂
Life expectancy 31 years. . Wow
Indeed so sad. I wouldn't even still be about in those days 😣
Yeah but a big part is because of death as childs and infants. When you live through being an adult you are expected to live a good time longer :)
Also called natural selection.
that’s because of the high rate of infant mortality. If you survived past infancy, you had a reasonable chance it to a good age.
