    We spent 5 days in Yellowstone in a 19’ Class B van. Can’t imagine pulling a 40’ 5er. You made a great choice going out early and late. That’s what we did and avoided the crowds and the traffic.

    We also were camping at Upper Teton View, camping at the exact same place on July 4th, we had a great time, all the campers came to our campfire and potluck supper, we love being full-time.

    Glad you got to visit one my happiest places! I have hundreds if not thousands of photos in Teton NP. Early mornings at Schwbachers and Mormon Row, etc It's hard to stop taking images there! Late afternoon thunderstorm colors to the east as well,. People often forget to turn around and look at what is happening behind them.

    One if not my favorite parks also!!
    Why doesn’t anyone notice the metal lines in the concrete floor in the visitors center. They all point to each mountain with their names etched in the lines. They line up with the roofline peaks over the picture windows.
    Hope you saw them. Maybe I just look at to many floors.
    Visitor Centers are so cool.
    Thanks for reminding us of how beautiful our national parks are.

    When you said, "occassionally you'll see moose out here", you weren't kidding. When I was a kid back in the late 1970s, my parents took us on a Teton/Yellowstone trip much like you're doing now with your kids. I remember it so well. One morning we were camping with some other people, we get up and there's a moose just hanging out in the middle of our campsite.

    Hope you guys had bear spray. That’s grizzly country. That area is our summer stomping ground. No place better. Most of Teton County is federally protected land, so those views will remain. If you ever choose to dip your feet into owning an RV lot, an hour south of there is Star Valley RV Resort, deeded RV lots. It’s where we own our lot, so that view is our view all summer long. Nd those fabulous places in ID are day trips away.

    Under federal law, all commercial filming that occurs within a unit of the National Park System requires a permit. Other youtubers got fined. Be careful.

    • @RVMediaCreators
      @RVMediaCreators 10 місяців тому +6

      Just a question. Why are you assuming they didn’t get the permit? The requirements for permits are working their way through the federal courts system. It’s very possible that it it could be struck down by the Supreme Court. As content creators we are very aware of the rules regarding the permitting requirements at the national parks.

    • @jenniferfisher530
      @jenniferfisher530 10 місяців тому +4

      This isn't considered commercial filming. It's protected under freedom of speech. At least for now. I know they want to regulate it.

    • @andrewfidel2220
      @andrewfidel2220 10 місяців тому +4

      @@jenniferfisher530under current NPS rules and court rulings it unfortunately is considered commercial filming. The trial court got it right IMHO when they ruled that content based restrictions on commercial speech were unconstitutional but unfortunately the appeals court sided with the park service in upholding their rules. I'm hopeful that we'll get a case to the supreme court that goes the right way as the justices are both pretty protective of speech and skeptical of departmental rule making.
      I think that doing an impact based permitting system where if you want to bring a crew of 30 in to shoot a commercial and disrupt the area for other visitors that requires a permit but shooting on a phone or camera in a way that disrupts nobody and just happens to end up on a platform where you make a few dollars does not.

    You all are in one of my top favorite places in this country, the Grand Tetons. I have been up there and saw those beautiful mountains. and visited Jackson Hole, and Jackson Square with the antlers at the corners of the square. I was in Campus Christian Fellowship, and we took a trip in the rubber raft on the Snake River as well. Looks like you were there at Halloween, as I see the skeleton, Bernard sitting at the table. I agree with Marissa, that there is something special about the Grand Tetons.

    • @thomtea1961
      @thomtea1961 10 місяців тому +1

      In terms of etymology for the mountain's naming, the most common explanation is that "Grand Teton" means "large teat" or "large Breast" in French-Canadian (téton), named by either French-Canadian or Iroquois members of an expedition led by Donald McKenzie of the North West Company.
