I checked out this video thinking it was a new figure but was pleasantly surprised. Incredible paint job man! This looks better than the paint jobs on the official figures and is very reminiscent of the large bull T-Rex toy I had as a child but of course with the amazing paint job!
Mattel could try to make this (witch they did, but, me and some others know how that all turned out)

This is really fantastic. only discovered this figure collection recently, Kinda surpised mattel hasnt put out mutiple variants of this T-Rex figure. Could even do a exclusive set with the Buck and the Baby T-Rex and maybe another set with the Female trex and the car with Eddie.
I just purchased the HC Rex and right away went to check for the upgraded feet and head. Each ($45) is like $20 dollars more than my HC Rex cost me. I just cannot justify the cost right now. $90 in total minus the cost of paint.

1:30 Would the friction between the parts still cause erosion of the paint if you were to completely varnish each piece individually (as in dismantling the entire Rex)? I would think the varnish/sealant would act as the needed buffer between the pieces to prevent degradation.

Startes today after i finished my first dino. I made the collosal blue into the JP 1 raptor and somehow it worked good beside of a to "sand" like colour that i choose for the belly but it's no problem bc. most people including this guy here, use wrong colours and paterns too but who cares :D

I am going to give this one a shot. I have the rex from the buck and Jr set from target. I am going to have to tone it way down though because my skill not even in the same ballpark as the skill in this video.
That's absolutely amazing looking! Does anyone know if there are clear eyes for the older Super Colossal T-Rex? I've been wanting to work on mine, but I'm still planning out the resculpt for his feet and inner mouth details/teeth, etc. I would love to find the perfect set of eyes for him.
Check Van Dyke's taxidermy supply for eyes. If you measure the eye corner to corner in millimeters you might be able to find suitable eyes there. If you want to paint the color yourself, try the flint eyes which have the black pupil but clear unpainted backs, and you can paint the backs yourself or print out the iris and glue the eye down. Another option is to buy glass cabochons and paint or print the eyes yourself but you would need to paint the pupils too.

So, I've got a real question. Is it Bull Trex, or is it Buck Trex? I've seen both used, but I want to know which is the proper name.
This one he is doing is the Buck Rex from The Lost World the Bull Rex from JP3 is a lighter green and does not have a scar
I think this Rex looks nice but maybe a touch too dark along the body. He could use a drybrush of Artichoke green or mold green to make him a bit more accurate to how he looked in the movie. I usually rely on that final tracking shot in the Lost world where you can see the Rex family in broad daylight. It’s the only point in the movie where you can tell that the Buck isn’t either a dark green or even a true green. There is a slight hint of off grey mixed in with the green

I wished that the Hammond collection made the bull tyrannosaurus and it's far too much money for the gate and the ford explorer and Tim and the buck the bull tyrannosaurus and I mean damn the price is absolutely horrible $230.00
Kinda disappointed cause the title made it look like Mattel finally released a buck rex. Cool custom though.
