You're a real nice guy, I would have handed him a ratchet to unhook the drive shaft as soon as there was enough room to squeeze under lol. Good work !!!!!!!!
"What do I owe ya?" "Don't worry about it." ^ Some good old fashioned off-road enthusiast camaraderie, a purpose built truck, and good videos. The BSF team is definitely a good group of people.
I guess im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Kenzo Misael I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thats a great little wrecker! I would have bet that itd never get that old bus out. Nice to see a slow, thoughtful recovery without more damage done to the equipment.
Good ears! Yes my high buck front shaft is wearing out, the u-joints are Ok but the CV is worn. I need a sponsor to build my a new high angle 35 degree CV front shaft with 1350 joints.
:) yea, I done that, climb around in the mud to unstick, even rapped a off roader round a tree and had to walk out of the bush with my co pilot for 18Km before sighting another human. Then find a mate with a 4x4 that could tow it out. Nice to have a wrecker on hand.
wow that short bus was a very hard recovery uh I was sure your rear winch cable was just about to snap poor old chevy towing it works hard some time very good video man thx and cheers
Or the morgue. One also has to consider that your rig might pull part of a vehicle clean off. You clearly know what you are doing, and it seems like you keep your gear in great shape. But I, for one, feel better about watching you work when you toss that cover over the cable, for those long pulls, to tame it a tad. Keep it up, whatever you do. You do great work. Anyhow, you can always operate the winch with your other arm. ;)
Make shift winch blanket. Basically incase that cable snaps, that strap will help reduce a lot of whiplash as the cable snaps back. An actual winch blanket works much better.
Sounds like you still have a fuel restriction, you can verify that with a fuel psi gage and if you tap in at different spots like at the t.b.i. or before the fuel filter you may be able to pinpoint the problem. It is very hard to get a fuel tank clean after a problem like that, you might just have plugged up the filter again.
Good job, nice for once to see people taking their time doing it right,so many time i see recovery doing more damage to the vehicle. Hell i would love to ride that bus look like a sweet ride.
It's to let every one approaching know that we are doing a recovery so they keep a safe distance, just like on a roadway. The trails are busy, and sometimes drivers are not looking very far down the trail when climbing over rough terrain.
That's awesome! I hope people tip you. Really though you are one of the few greats out there... Thanks for helping out so many people! If I could id surely sponsor you..keep up the great work, wish we had someone like you in Virginia. How can I get a bsf sticker since I'm so far away? Please.
was it as easy as just removing the shafts? cause I would think if that were the case youd throw the Tcase in neutral at the very least to get it unstuck
Hello my friend my name is,mark omg i love lots of your videos and the rig of yours is a beast a bad ass i like it and you know your stuff your friend and fan mark
I assume YOU'D do that yourself? I've met literally 100's of tow truck drivers, recovery experts over the last 30 years, and not 1 would have gotten under that, lay in that mud and water, when the wrecker can do all the work..You, sir would be the very first to go to that extent.
Recoveryteam what size/kind of tires you running on that GMC? looks like falken wildpeaks.. i think i watched one of your old vids and it looked like you guys were going thru some deep water with mud terrains or some high voided tire..GREAT WORK KEEP THE VIDS UP!!!
minusmodest is there also a reason why he couldn't just back up to the short bus and lift the rear end up and pull it out so he wouldn't damage the drive shaft or any other parts
@@nathanhearld474 if he backed up all the way to the hole he had to use the front winch to pull him forward instead of using the powerfull hydraulic winch to get the bus out. maybe he could do it with 2 pulleys but that would be a very long day (i'm not sure if there is even enough cable on that winch to do that) and i'm pretty sure nobody wants to lay down in that mud to pull the driveshafts out, would you want to lay in that mud? but that's only my opinion on this one.
I was wondering why you didn't hook on to the chassis tow rings to begin with .I always used snatch block when pulling gear out the mud, without going into the maths you decrease the load on the winch and double the weffort being used to shorten the rope. What size rope is that? We used a 1/2 Rope ,which was changed every year and even broke that a few times. We always laid a ballistic blanket over the rope. It doesn't look like it would do much but it does prevent the rope whipping and possibly killing someone.
as allways good vid i hate to be a burden but im at my wits ends here maybe you can give me some advice. i picked up some bad gas a few weeks ago and had to dump the tank had loads of water and othere things inside it fryed out my pump so i replaced it new filter and blow out the lines and cleaned out the t.b.i. but its a chore to keep at 55m.p.h. and like to bog out at high r.p.m. im starting to think my engin is fryed but i dont wanna give up on it just yep any advice would be helpful
As Jamie Davis says, That winch cable was really singing under the pull,Great video
thumbs up for the guy in the red chevy knowing how to use the skinny pedal to help get you guys out ....good job guys keep up the good videos
Ole boy can drive a wrecker like no other
This is one of the coolest vehicles I’ve ever seen you pull in one of your videos.
You're a real nice guy, I would have handed him a ratchet to unhook the drive shaft as soon as there was enough room to squeeze under lol.
Good work !!!!!!!!
Wow!! That was one stuck short bus!! Gave the wrecker a bit of a workout but you got him out and back to camp without any problems. Great job!!
After watching several of these videos...I think everyone just needs to build a wrecker this truck is a BEAST of an off roader.
"What do I owe ya?"
"Don't worry about it."

@Kenzo Misael It worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
Great video. These off-road guys should all drive wreckers.
Thats a great little wrecker! I would have bet that itd never get that old bus out. Nice to see a slow, thoughtful recovery without more damage done to the equipment.
After seeing so many of your videos I think I would just build a replica of the wrecker... It's saved ALOT OF EXPENSIVE trail rigs.
alot of these trucks are heaver than yours. your pretty smart to figure this out
Good ears! Yes my high buck front shaft is wearing out, the u-joints are Ok but the CV is worn. I need a sponsor to build my a new high angle 35 degree CV front shaft with 1350 joints.
thar FKR is really cool looking! never seen or even heard of it till now!!!

I like that sweet red Chevy at the end. Love seeing the Boggers work.
I just love the tone of your wrecker's motor... Something About it!
Have you ever tried to wrench on the under side of a truck stuck in the middle of a mud hole?
wow that short bus was a very hard recovery uh I was sure your rear winch cable was just about to snap poor old chevy towing it works hard some time very good video man thx and cheers
Your wrecker really earns it's keep. Good video !

That was sweet. Paulson Off Road is right down the road from my shop.
Well in my book the wrecker is the reall monster here !! That beast got some raw power...

that wrecker of yours is one cool truck although the tires look better suited for loose dirt and sand but still a very nicely set up truck
To HELL with the Short Bus. THAT IS ONE BAD ASS WRECKER TO DO WHAT IT DID IN THIS VIDEO!
I wold like to like past years, but I need to do some repairs to the yellow Jeep and the hauler. I don't think I will have them done by that event.
It's to let every one approaching know that we are doing a recovery so they keep a safe distance, just like on a roadway. The trails are busy, and sometimes drivers are not looking very far down the trail when climbing over rough terrain.
On the yellow short bus on the side F.K.R. "FAT KID RACING" LMFAO 😆🤣😆🤣
Hey, what a nice video!
Thanks for share, and thumbs up for you!
Short bus
very nice driving. Looks like some skilled precision work on your part.
Love to see that short bus in action
I"d like to see what all was broken in it!
Broke
Stuck &
Fu**ed
awesome channel been subbed forever love these guys!!!!
Does the wrecker have a 454 big block motor in it? Because with all that work it's doing it seems like it does
ua-cam.com/video/j2qv6pgo9ec/v-deo.html
Not trespassing, the event is held on land owned by Trollhaugen Ski area.
Yall must keep that wrecker well maintained for it to still be kicking ass.
Well I might have had to rush off to the hospital, but that's part of job.
you put on a good show! thanx!
Great job for all you do for your area! You say you need a sponsor for the front axle, do you charge these people?
20.25 GET HER DONE!! Haha badass. Love the videos!
What brand of tires are you using? They obviously can stand the punishment. New subscriber from CA.
That's awesome! I hope people tip you.
Really though you are one of the few greats out there...
Thanks for helping out so many people!
If I could id surely sponsor you..keep up the great work, wish we had someone like you in Virginia. How can I get a bsf sticker since I'm so far away? Please.
That toe truck has balls haha
It devides the load between the wecker and the tree, so the stress on the wrecker was less.
was it as easy as just removing the shafts? cause I would think if that were the case youd throw the Tcase in neutral at the very least to get it unstuck
Hello my friend my name is,mark omg i love lots of your videos and the rig of yours is a beast a bad ass i like it and you know your stuff your friend and fan mark
thanks for the upload loved it
Both the short bus and the recovery vehicle were so cool .
subscribing !
Other than work, it looks like a lot of fun wish you well in this new year and maybe I'll see you in the woods some day...
Well in my book the wrecker is the reall monster here ! That beast got some power...
This was at a event, the club has an agreement and leases the land each year!
I liked that chevy silvorado pickup truck :) U should try to have that more in ur videos :) Tell him to get stuck , and u can go and get himm up :)
"Give me a place to stand and with a lever, I can move the world." : Archimedes.
awesome best one yet. look's like a very muddy time.
I assume YOU'D do that yourself? I've met literally 100's of tow truck drivers, recovery experts over the last 30 years, and not 1 would have gotten under that, lay in that mud and water, when the wrecker can do all the work..You, sir would be the very first to go to that extent.
That's one badass rig
I have to do an RC version of that wrecker, it's a beast of a truck
That Bus is CooL.............
wow thats awesome. Nice wrecker
Oldie but goodie!
best bus motor ive ever heard!
jus a damn good ole chevy truck!!
Dude that was an awesome recovery!
as always, freaking fascinating stuff. I got hooked
Why not drop the driveshaft on the rear after unlocking the front hub?
because they b dumb dumb and making a paycheck lol
@@bobdillion8028 every recovery is free
How much do a recovery cost ?
BSF Recovery does not charge for recovery when we are at the event.
I'm surprised you dont have a torch hooked up to that baby. They might have been willing to torch the drive shafts
Just put the T-case in Neutral problem solved.
It let's every one know that we are doing a recovery, so they don't get in the way.
Recoveryteam what size/kind of tires you running on that GMC? looks like falken wildpeaks.. i think i watched one of your old vids and it looked like you guys were going thru some deep water with mud terrains or some high voided tire..GREAT WORK KEEP THE VIDS UP!!!
nicely done! ever think of just yanking the drive shaft to make it a FWD?
Cool video, great business.
Damn! I was stressed out watching that! Great job though - hope you're around if I ever end up in a situation like that!
you have an awesome job yea buddy!!!!
that jimmy is an awesome truck
You can lay in the mud hole and pull them, I don't need to I have a wrecker. LOL
is there a reason they couldn't drop the drive shafts?
Exactly what I was thinking.
+dosbox907YOU WOULD HAVE TO LAY IN MUD & MUDDY WATER !!!
minusmodest is there also a reason why he couldn't just back up to the short bus and lift the rear end up and pull it out so he wouldn't damage the drive shaft or any other parts

11:52 there...
To hell with the shortbus... I want a wrecker!
oh ok ride on, maybe ill make my way down from bc in my yota and rip er up, and maybe even..get hooked haha.

I think he must have got this fixed. A later video, shows a brief glimpse of him on the trail.
finally someone agrees with me . thank you dude
sick vid!!! i gotta ask... where the hell is this awesome place?? oregon or sumthin?
20:48 that guy is🌰🌰🌰nuts🙋😂😂😂😂
Do you have a list of all the places and events you go to in a season of wheeling? I'd like to go to some of these!
i understand that but why didnt u drop the rear drive shaft after u got it out of the hole?
What was the kind of transfercase in the bus?????
was he able to put his transfer case in neutral? probably not but thats what i had to do in a similar situation with a buddy of mines suburban
as allways good vid
i hate to be a burden but im at my wits ends here maybe you can give me some advice. i picked up some bad gas a few weeks ago and had to dump the tank had loads of water and othere things inside it fryed out my pump so i replaced it new filter and blow out the lines and cleaned out the t.b.i. but its a chore to keep at 55m.p.h. and like to bog out at high r.p.m. im starting to think my engin is fryed but i dont wanna give up on it just yep any advice would be helpful
Ever thought about running chains? It would help out a lot with traction.
That will buff right out.
Great video as usual! Can't wait to see more. Are you going to be out on the trails June 24th for the Jeep event?
What size engine is in the wrecker?
ua-cam.com/video/j2qv6pgo9ec/v-deo.html
Interesting job
Do you use the wrecker outside of the park or is it just for trail recovery?
What happened the the left front fender of the wrecker?
Yes it would have been easier, but not as good of video, and the wrecker needs a good workout now and then or it might get lazy on me.
Love the short bus
How much for a sticker? Like the one from the last vid
