My absolute favourite movie, it's a shame not everyone knows about the car chase in this movie, it's unbelievable even in today's standards
What's really a shame is that there is ANOTHER version of this movie - a directors' cut if you will.... that for whatever reason will not be released.
One of the best, if not the best car chase sequences of all time. And no cgi. Excellent.
This is how it was meant to be. I remember buying the remaster when i was a kid and thought the dubbed over music was terrible. Thanks for uploading this.
It's a shame most people haven't seen the original print. I'm one of them, raised on the DVD and now have a Blu-ray print which is just superb (picture-wise).
Toughest car on the planet. Bad ass driving. Halicki is to be commended. Don't worry about the stinkin' music. Sounded fine to me!

Someone should sync this up with the remastered footage and upload it. I've got this open, and the remastered footage muted in another tab, and it is absolutely wonderful.
I agree. I've tried taking a shot at it. It's hard to get the audio (Original Mono Mix) and the video (Remastered) to line up precisely. The only time it lines up anywhere near perfect is during the chase. I could maybe do just the chase.

I've heard about the original version for many years and was always curious about it, but I've never seen it until now. I'm not sure which soundtrack is more corny, the country western music or the generic "retro" stuff composed for the remastered DVD. It's fun hearing the original sound effects. Thanks for posting!
