As a Ventus Black gamer I find this shaft really interesting! I have tried TR Red 5S (was too erratic) 1K blue 50TX (still on the fence) and ending up in a Ventus Black 6S as it just goes straight and high for me. Can't wait for the next video!
With a dynamic loft close to 20 and the AoA at 6.2. Resulting at a peak of 40m. That's on the high end. My guess is that the shaft is tip heavy. Don't know your driver length, head weigth or grip weight but d5 is sort of normal today with 46.5 drivers. More interested in the MOI of the club.
@@SydneyGolfTech Thats true but imagine his speed going at a 5x just shows how stable the shaft is. Also you've illustrated that the shaft in a 5S doesnt seem to exhibit its advertised characteristics of lowest spin and launch. Its all about getting the right fit into the right shaft for the particular swing.
I usually play 60g but also went down to 5S with the IZ. My SS is 96mph. The IZ has a nice flight, small fade. I do struggle with a draw compared with my Hzrdus smoke yellow 6R. Trial and error...
@SydneyGolfTech I do have the ventus blue (non Velocore), cant stretch to the real McCoy....but my favourite shaft is still the Hzrdus yellow smoke, again not "small batch or tour spec". How did you go with the Hzrdus?
@@Willberight2moro I’m going to sound like a massive snob but I very rarely hit OEM version shafts. In the last 10 years I would have only hit a handful.
@SydneyGolfTech Totally understand being a fitter. I only just got a 2nd hand GD IZ and have put it in my Stealth. It's good but not full price good, for me. I will wait for a fitting day to try a Velocore shaft, to satisfy my curiosity 😀 Enjoying your head to head Vids...bit like "Grand designs" houses....
How would you compare this with the XC or the more traditional whiteboard profiles? GD shafts tend to retain blueboard qualities and the XC was the closest to the older shafts
Another great video Greg. Good to see you back.
Thanks very much for watching.
Amazing video Greg! Did the VF 5S became your gamer for 2024?

It’s an interesting one for sure.
I have the VF 6x in a TSR3 8 and love it. It's not unusually low launching for me: maybe 10-12 launch and 100-110 peak height.
Definitely doesn't feel like hard work like the Ventus Black
Keen to see how it’s compares with the Ventus Black in play. I may need another visit 🤦🏼♂️
It’s a really nice one for sure.

Justin Thomas was testing the 5X so I'm pretty sure the 5S is quite stable. Numbers look very good tbh.
You never know how much JT had the 5X tipped though.

@@aywm6792 I totally agree.
@@SydneyGolfTech golfwrx has a photo. It's 1" tipped at 45' 5/8"

I really love trial and error. It’s expensive but a great way to learn feels.

Love your videos!
Thanks very much.
You gave me great advice on the Fujikura speeder nx green

I haven’t done that comparison but it would be an interesting one to do.
Would be great to see a comparison with the XC
How would you compare the feel and numbers to the Ventus Blue TR 6S? Seems like this shaft could be your new gamer.
It’s really good but my on course experience has been a little better with the TR Blue.
Have you tried the 5x and the 6 sr ?
No I have only tried the 5s and 6s
Tiger has put it in the bag.
How does its compare to the UB?
Another contender for a week only 😂
They all get at least a week 😜
