Color-corrected, de-interlaced to 60 frames-per-second, and upscaled from a digital NTSC source.
A garbage truck named Trasher explains his job of moving garbage from house to house. Later Muriel, Whitey & Biffy, garbage trucks along with Little Dozer, a tracked loader and Hooper, a front end loader explain the operations of the transfer station showing how garbage is pushed down a chute and compacted into large semi trailers used for garbage transfer after the trailer of garbage is picked up by Big Red, a garbage transfer truck the story is continued at the dump. Big Red, two bulldozers named Scoop and Pee-Wee,Kristoff, a tractor scraper and Spike a compactor explain how the landfill works. Scoop and Pee Wee spread the garbage out after big red dumps. Spike squashes the debris, Kristoff scrapes off the dirt and dumps it, and Pee Wee finishes it by smoothing the dirt out. The main location is the landfill at Toronto Municipality.

Ah, back when we could just put everything in one place and be done with it. Now we have to separate shit out, make sure things are cleaned properly, oh and make sure we take some things to a special place, because the regular guys won't do it.
I can't understand it. At 3:39, Whitey is a Flat-nosed Chevrolet, then at 4:01 hes a Long-nosed GMC.
They took different shots of different trucks. I guess they thought no one would notice.

This is absolutely amazing! We didn't have much money or DVDs growing up, but we did have DVDs of the tomato farming episode, this one, and the demolition site one. Love the upscaling, do you use AI? Or is there another way? If you could tell me which program you use i'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for this gem.

Why can’t they just put the trash into an incinerator instead of burying it?
The reason people haven’t been burning trash on a wide scale since the 60s is because burning plastic (among other things) release HORRIBLY toxic gases into the air. In this day and age where we are trying to increase air quality around the world, beginning to burn trash for disposal would be very counter productive and cause more problems than it would solve.
