- So Here’s Chris and the Tractor on Bulky Waste in my Area! Sadly Kenny Did Not Come But this Was Still Pretty Entertaining. They Were on a heavy Route Today.
So Since I’m Going Back to Online School I Still Get to film but only like 7 minute videos. So I Tried to get Most Footage as I can today. Well I did a 28 minute video ain’t bad. So I Think Kenny was Hand Throwing with the new Guy Across Town. Bulk Videos do get lots of Views so hopefully it does. At one point there was 3 piles Right Next to each other! And Next week I might do a pile!.. well I see see what I can find. But first The first pile was Near My Area and the other parts is Across my Area we saw 2463 Collecting Trash Over there so Cris only does Half. And it took us little bit to find them. Also Thanks to My Mom For Driving me Out here to Film!

So many recyclables going right to the landfill. All that steel is worth money too!
When there isn't a place to take it to get money for or to recycle it it's not worth the time.

That claw looks like a sideways velociraptor.
Also find it hysterical the claw operator used the claw to move those cones instead of getting out and doing it. Gave me a good laugh!

I am watching this and think" what a waste of good things I saw wood from a tree, boxes , iron and more steel stuff that don't belong in the landfill.You men did an awesome job, the man in the Deere has perfect skills. The driver of the truck was also attending on traffic during the stops.And he picked up the little stuf too.

In the UK, large items like that are not collected by bin crews. You have to either take it yourself to a recycling centre, or pay the council or a licenced waste company to get rid of it responsibly.
Yeah, Im shocked. In Sweden we import to recycle too. Its very strict rules for trash.
most places in the us do it once a year. "spring cleaning"

Interesting video in the UK we just have 2 men that do it all by hand, takes about the same amount of time, the digger picking up the last few tissues was a bit much, driver matey could have done that 😂
No way 2 people are faster than a digger at moving hundreds of pounds of weight.
I live in Elk Grove where this was filmed and have never seen them use this machine. Every time I or neighbors scheduled for bulk pickup it is always 2 people doing the work. Never knew they did this.

It's super interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing. A great cooperation between the 2 colleagues. I have worked in collecting before. I don't understand why it's always a mess. (garbage bags not closed, cardboard boxes with styrofoam inside...) Fortunately, these men have these pliers to pick up all this mess.
Some villages or towns around me in the US around where I live there’s one or two free days where a person can bring anything to the curb for collection.
Or any week metal items usually guys will drive around in trucks and bring it to scrap yards for you and you (the homeowner) let them keep the money they collect from the scrap yard.
It’s the sense of entitlement from those with money. Look at the homes they are collecting from… So much recyclable material being put in with non-recyclable, even appliances too. The well off have a sense of entitlement that make the rest of society puke.
Remember them during the holidays, sure they will appreciate it.

Yeah I was hand throwing last week. I’m with the tractor this week. I have a blue 32 otto classic in my truck. It’s from Atlas Disposal from 2003 I believe. I’ll be out in the area Saturday morning off crestleigh in fridays route. I need to pick up some scrap copper and an AC unit. I can stop by and drop it off. It’s been in my truck for while. I have no room for it. Might have some crates too. I’ll be out there at about 6-6:30. So I’ll be at your place before 7.

This is funny. An extra machine with a driver that helps the garbage man. That does not happen very often at all.

Always amazed the amount of trash that can go into a single truck.

Not here in 'Murica, we have FREEDOM! Freedom for boomers to use up as many resources as possible and make sure they don't get recycled or reused, potentially allowing a future generation to have the same advantages as the boomers had. The Zoomers will have to pull themselves up by their bootstraps like the boomers were so good at!

Yes But it’s free to call for a bulky pickup and faster. And No there’s not front loader following them we don’t do that here.

I live in Spokane, WA, and although our trucks have 'auto lifts', for the cans, (same as yours), not only do they charge extra fees it your can lid doesn't close completely, but I have a hard time just getting them just to shake it once to get the bag at the bottom out!! You guys are so lucky!!

After this kind of collection - does it all go to landfill or incineration? Or is there some level of sorting made later in the processing chain?
Good idea with the loader not so good idea with the attachment. I think the attachment is doing a lot of damage to the asphalt and the concrete. If I was a public works director I would have a problem with the asphalt and sidewalks being all scratched up when you were done.

Doesn't matter if it's full or not trucks can't go over a certain weight in the city or state.And the driver can get in big trouble if he does Also depends on if the boss is a jerk or not.
