CRAZY Plane Landings during STRONG CROSSWIND! (Storm Claudio: Bristol Airport)

- Direct crosswind = Tokyo drift! 😅 With a strong wind blowing directly across the runway, the pilots of these aircraft had to bring their jets into land 'sideways', making for some impressive 'drifting'! 👏 This is perfectly normal and if they planes weren't pointed into wind they would simply drift off the approach path. Look how the pilot aligns the plane with the runway just before touching down, amazing to watch. 🛬

A dozen crosswind landings filmed at Bristol Airport during Storm Claudio. With a direct crosswind with gusts of 37 knots, there was some awesome 'drifting' going on, otherwise known as 'crabbing', where the plane appears to be flying sideways as it comes into land😮 - very impressive! 😮👏 Thumbs up the video if you think the pilots deserve a pay rise! 😂👍 Thanks for watching. 😊

Wow! A few look as if they’re approaching at close to 90° All the simulator training for this clearly well worthwhile: but makes me wonder how pilots learned to deal with such strong crosswinds before sim tech was available?
