STORM NOA: Planes Landing at Bristol Airport in strong crosswind! (ATC included) | 4K

- Storm Noa battered the UK yesterday (12th April 2023) bringing with it localised thunderstorms, torrential downpours and strong winds. In this video we see a 17 planes landing at Bristol Airport between 11am and 3pm with winds blowing from SSW to SW at around 30mph with gusts around 35mph. 🛬 The first aircraft due in as I arrived was a Ryanair Boeing 737-800 from Gdansk which performed a go around due to a windshear warning! 💨 As always, it is brilliant to witness the skill of all these pilots in difficult conditions. 👏 Once again, apologies about the fence, not much I can do about it I'm afraid, I don't fancy standing on a step-ladder in these winds! 😆

I was on holiday in Bath during this spout of awful weather. I got into aviation in October but have never done any commercial spotting! I didn't see you, but you must have seen me standing by 09 with my phone and camera excitedly getting in and out of the car! Ended up driving to the rear of 27 and getting some great shots overhead Felton Common. We arrived around 3pm, but I also caught:
G-EZTH (but on its takeoff)
G-UZMB
OE-LQN
G-EZRT
G-UZMG
EI-ENF on takeoff
and then a few others from the 27 end flying overhead. Great video, subscribed.

I flew into Bristol from Faro last night and although I’ve flown many times I may have said a little prayer on landing 😂 great video btw!
I notice it got really windy again later in the evening having starting dying off slightly late afternoon. I can imagine it was quite bumpy?! 😦 Thankyou! 😄

Given the terrible conditions Easy jet pilots still grease their landings whilst Ryanair appear to just slam them down, I flew Buzz (Polish Ryanair) to Warsaw and back last Xmas on a 737 Max and they were the 2 hardest landings i have ever experienced and i have flown a fair bit.
U got unlucky then, I have seen so many Ryanair landings whilst plane spotting at stansted and not a single hard landing I saw
