DMC Magic Paper demonstration and giveaway on transferring hand embroidery designs!

- I have a go at using DMC Magic Paper to transfer an embroidery design onto different fabrics. We are also giving away some of these products to two lucky viewers but you will need to watch the video to see what, and how to enter the giveaway draw!
We will draw the winner on Friday 22nd July 2022. Winners are drawn at random and items sent free post worldwide. We will respond to winner comments so please check to see if it is you. If we can't get hold of you within a week then we will draw again.

Very cool! I have been using Pellon Wash N Go in the same way (I spray it with 505 temporary adhesive). You can also run it through the inkjet printer to make grids or patterns.

Show me the magic, I wanna give thanks to you sarah, your husband and the kitties for the wonderful videos. It has help to inspire, give me a clear understanding on improving my embroidery skill, and become more informed. I became impaired and damaged my dominant arm. With nothing to do. I always enjoyed to see the art form of embroidery, I thought maybe this might be able to help rebuild feeling and movement.
You have given me the inspiration to try and try again. It has helped to improve that area and learn to love something I never thought I would be interested in doing I'm so excited to have found your channel once again thanks so much.

I have seen other videos recommended to me that use these papers, I hadn't watched them, but watching you use them...they are very interesting. I am going to have to try them out. Another excellent and informative video! I’ve had much success using the Soluble Canvas for counted cross stitching on terry cloth towels. One tip with this product: I’ve found the cut edges on it are sharp and can snag the terry cloth pile so I wrap the edges with tape first, baste it to the fabric and then do my stitching. Thanks again and I hope you all are able to stay cool!
This is a fabulous product for an idea I have been fostering in my brain for long while. I have always wanted to make an embroidered version of a Pysanky egg on black wool felt. I couldn't think of a way to transfer the detailed lines I need for the design that's rambling around in my brain. Thank you for sharing this product! Show me the magic!

Thank you for making a video to show me the magic - When I was a younger embroiderer, I tried a cross stitch pattern on a Terry cloth hand towel. The terry cloth swallowed up my stitches😮 then I learned about the magic paper! Such a stitch saver!

Hi Sarah! Every time I watch your videos you never fail to Show me the Magic! I’ve been stitching since the late 1980’s and even though I’ve done a lot of embroidery, you always have something to show and to say that teaches me something new and/or reminds me of something I had forgotten. Someday my dream is to come to England, visit the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal School of Needlework and hopefully meet you in person and visit your shop.

These papers are pretty cool. Especially the grid one. I've not seen that type before. It would make stitching on non traditional fabrics, like clothing easy to do - as long as they can get wet. Thank you for showing us! Show Me The Magic

Dear Sarah, thank you so much for this wonderful video and generous give-away. I've been watching a cross-stitcher work with tear-away waste canvas on alternative cross-stitch fabric and have been intruiged, but a bit intimidated as the basted fabric can shift beneath the waste canvas and you don't know what it will look like until the piece is all finished. You have now introduced me to a much lower-risk means of working with various fabrics, and I am eager to make a bit of magic for myself! Grazie!!! ♥

Thanks for another great tutorial video! Show me the magic! I’ve never used these types of papers before. I’ve always just bought pre-stamped canvas, or do the counted cross stitch. I would love to try the papers.
I have been hesitant in purchasing the magic paper as I found it to be very expensive where I live and wasn’t even sure it was worth the money but now… it seems to be a real game changer… show me the magic!

I recently tried the Sulky Stick'n'Stitch, had a disaster and haven't been game to use it again. The fabric I chose had a bit of a stretch so, because I'd stuck it down before mounting in my hoop, when I washed it away the fabric puckered horribly and I had to start all over again. 🤦♀️
Not sure if it was just my newbie mistake but I do think it is something worth keeping in mind when deciding which projects to use it with.

Hello Sarah. Wow! Show me the magic paper is just the thing I need. At my age, of course, I have done a lot of stitching in my life. Cross-stitch, crewel, embroidery, it was all the same to me. I would just buy a kit and do whatever it told me to do. If I were making my children clothes, I would add a bit of hand embroidery on a pocket or somewhere. Knitting is still my go-to hobby, but I love adding a little something to make it special. Now with two great-grandkids, this magic paper could be a handy addition to my embroidery box. Show me the magic--You did! I have been trying stitches that are new to me, but there obviously is more to know. I used to tell my 8th graders if they "learn one new thing everyday, (they) will be doing well!" Certainly, learned about several new things today--Gold Stair moment! @@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery No days off, this is a Life Challenge and easier than most would think--at least, those 13 and 14 year olds that I faced. I miss them so very much, it was a joy, particularly when they did learn.
