One of my favorite Cadillac cars in the series and very underrated. My parents friend still rides the Allante to this day.
Love the style of the Cadillac 🔥 never seen one of these before .
Hello all. I knew the original owner, know the details about this Caddy since it was delivered off of truck at the Pontiac/Cadillac dealership I worked at in Albuquerque, NM. She looks like she picked up some scratches and scuffs along the way but what can you do. I haven't seen one like it in my travels and I'm glad that I had a hand in this rare Alante. I'll gladly answer questions to my memory, the top was done in Denver, CO.
That car first came out in 1987
I dont like the more "typical" looking gauges in the later allantes. They look out of place compared to the electronic ones

These cars were prohibitively expensive. $65k in 1991 when a Mercedes SL convertible was under $60k and had 50 more hose power and rear wheel drive. GM would send the hate chassis to Pininfarina in Italy for the body, then they shipped them back to Michigan for final assembly. That’s why they cost so much.

Why does it say unleaded fuel only I thought it was premium gas?
Before the 1980's or so, automotive fuel from gas stations had lead in it, and in the 80's, manufacturers started producing engines that didn't need lead in the fuel, hence the sticker, since there was still "leaded" fuel being sold.

The tan top is not original. ALL Allantes had a black cloth top.
Those wheels are hideous. Please do this car a favor and return to the original rims.
It's sad this FWD car made more power than the Camaro and Mustang of the time.

They were a very crappy car, unreliable & so many negative issues, even the back tail lights forever had condensation. The design, the concept was advanced,,,,, but the quality was sub standard.

My 1990 runs quite well. I am not sure what metric you are using to measure its quality and reliability; I've owned my for 5 years - love it!
People always got to say negative shit about cars when they are wrong they don't take care of their cars and wonder why the have issues
