That's awesome. We do roofing.. we prefer the dump trucks over trailers bc we can maneuver it in driveways and down alleys. We have a f550 right now that we constantly max out. This truck hits the sweet spot.

A vehicle of this class with a factory 4X4 system is a good idea and move on Ford's part because this type of vehicle has many uses like fire department and ambulance and tow truck power companies and other utility companies like cable telephone and natural gas and great fit for tree removal companies. The down side to vehicles classed like the F-650 and F-750 is that a factory 4X4 is not even a option and when you install a after market 4X4 system it's not matched up right for the type of vehicle it's used on.

I carry a kubota svl75 on the flatbed of my 2016 f550. Rides like garbage empty, but with the machine on the back it rides like a dream. Plus at 19,500 I'm under DOT weight.

Awesome truck... I have that same Altec tower as my bucket. It’s on a ram 5500 chassis... after I got it stocked up it weighs a little over 20k.. 500lbs overweight 😬... . The front axle only 200 lbs under max EMPTY!!

We have Ford super duty 450s and 550s,all gas. They last 5 years in the Northeast.First the small stuff goes,then the drivetrains whine and finally the 4 wheel drives hardly work.Not bad for 60,000 smackers.

I see Ford is going to give Chevy some competition in this new lower GVW class 6 range since Chevy debuted the Silverado 6500 trucks last March at the work truck show. The 2019 Silverado 6500 trucks are rated at 22,900 GVW and 4x4 options compared to the F600 rated at 22,000 GVW, so Ford is not creating a new class as what was said in the video but is in fact a year behind Chevy since the Silverado 6500 is already on the streets as we speak.

Commercial vehicles are slow for adoption of technologies. They are cost effective, it’s too much for all those gadgets when buying 5-6 trucks at a time. Then the cost of repair is just out of the box. A simple radio and simple controls is easy and cheap. Atleast they get Bluetooth now.

Well, in some parts of the country Diesel is almost 1 dollar more a gallon than Gasoline. So you can get 5 mpg less on average than a diesel engine and still save money especially after counting in the extra diesel engine upgrade cost and maintenance like oil and fuel filters, and diesel mechanics charge more in labor.

Nope. The old F650/750 had either a Cummins 5.9, 6.7, or even a Cat engine for awhile. They are all a derated Ford 6.7 now.
I hate the lights on this. Both upper and lower beams on for low & high beams are blinding to anyone in a smaller car.

Our Powerstrokes are less problematic than our Cummins. Cummins is really struggling with emissions systems.
