When I moved to California when I was 22, I constantly had to tell people there is an entire state outside of NYC :-p

Rod Serling was born in Syracuse, grew up in Binghamton, graduated from HS there, later lived in Ithaca.
@@kroma4181 I went to school with Rod Serling’s nephew. Very nice family. You could find Rod Serling casually dining in the Ithaca area quite often.
@@kroma4181 He had a cottage at Kidders Landing, which his daughter still owns. He used to walk the 2 miles to the store in sheldrake, which has since been converted to a house. I lived in that house for a few years.
I loved visiting relatives in upstate NY every summer as a kid. The Adirondacks, Lake Champlain. I’ve been wanting to go back to revisit but haven’t made it yet.
Scenic every part of NY State is scenic. I don't understand I love every part of my state.

New York State Is Gorges. ❤ Moved here 27 years ago from the flat lands of NJ. Beautiful and humorous video. The heat was awful. Glad you and Sadie survived. I’ve hiked a lot of the falls in the Western part of the state. Magical. My land above Keuka Lake actually had a few small waterfalls on it. The entire area is glacial making the land magnificent.

We really enjoyed this video, good editing and still photography. We also enjoy the ambient sounds of life as you live it, music is not something we care about when watching your videos...I'll bet there's several people who feel the same and hate to think it's such a hassle for you. We also think your awning was repaired by the "awning repair Piskies", they usually stay under bridges and effect their repairs when you're not aware of them...and yes, something similar has happened to us, but we're much older than you. 😂😂🤣🤣😁😁😎😎👍👍
Good tip re: taking pic of trail map.
Also, no matter how short, always bring water (yes, even if you are by a stream, lake , river) for you and your dog. A great thing for both humans and dogs is the gel skarff. Golfers know about them. It's a tube of material with gel in them. Flat when dry , once soaked in water they swell - tie it around your neck and it will bring relief from heat. I like to put mine in the freezer before wearing or putting on my dog.
Great video! My beagle sometimes pulls the same potty fake out and then suddenly has to go once we get on the road. Welcome to east coast humidity. 🥵 I live in Florida, so I feel your pain. Wrapping celery in foil helps it stay fresh longer. As a fellow solo woman, I say keep the delay. Can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with it!

Hi Carolyn, I lost my Yeti once andI I still miss it. Enjoying your video. It does seem hot and humid but you make it easy to watch, sitting here in the AC! Love❤ the water fall and water sounds on the hike. Your dog Sadie, is such a good girl. What a wonderful companion.

Hey Caroline my sons birthday July 2nd he is going camping using his pickup. He bought the cap for his truck they are going to sleep in back air mattresses him and his 10 year old son. Good idea save money it’s just so he has a place to sleep. He is in British Columbia have you been there huge mountainous place with parks and forest lakes rivers oceans. Where would he look to boon dock I told him about you . He has a huge Burmese dog lol too his name rusty

I am a closed cabinet person. It never dawned on me that anyone would leave them open until my adult son was staying with when he moved back east, he left them open a lot. Made me crazy! LOL.

I have a dent in my forehead where the edge of an open cabinet door got me. The VP in our office always leaves the office kitchen cab doors open, and I joke to myself, is this what's meant by "open door policy"?

Thanks, Carolyn. I'm 83 so I live vicariously through amazing people like you. I sold my house 20 yrs ago, downsized and paid cash for a condo with enough money leftover to live comfortably. I had traveled extensively throughout my life, but the pandemic really screwed things up and although I stayed healthy, I am no longer traveling as my bucket list has been fulfilled. I'm comfortable, content and still enjoy going to casinos and restaurants with friends. Hugs to you and Sadie. 🤗💙😉👍👍

I totally get it when you realize what you thought you knew is totally wrong. I thought I had a bone missing in my foot for 30 years. Then I started working for a Podiatrist who noticed my ankles turned down and inwards. Did an x-ray and said, your feet are fine, you are just flat-footed, basically no arches. I had arch supports in my shoes as a child and my grandmother thought my feet were deformed so I grew up thinking that. lol I wear orthotics now and everything is ok.
I spent my childhood in a renovated one-room schoolhouse with the cast iron and wood desks were removed from being bolted into the maple flooring and placed in the basement. These became scary objects piled in a dark and dank place that still presents in my dreams. Many good memories and the foundation for lifelong learning.
Thanks for the beautiful video! Loved the park with all the streams and waterfalls. So peaceful. What I add to my salads are capers, marinated artichoke hearts , apples, blueberries , dried cranberries , scallions and olives. That lemon dressing looked good. Sadie’s tongue was hanging out farther then I’ve ever seen🤪. That hike was a workout. Looking forward to your next video. Happy trails🌞🦋💖

I was camping here in Michigan on Lake Huron in that heat and humidity and it was unbearable. The only reason I left the rv was because I had to walk the dog. First time I've run the A/C in the rv since I bought it last year!
Have you ever traveled buffalo trace on trek ?It’s in southern Indiana.Its what is sounds like.The road is where buffalo made route.parts of it are scenic ,parts not.The hilly parts south are nice.

Re Sadie and poops...my holistic vet strongly suggested the peeled stalks from broccoli lightly cooked in water for my lab at least 2x a week..they need the chlorophyl and fiber..ergo the reason they eat grass..they arent total carnivores apparently

I found my 100' tape measure that was missing for a year. It was in a pail with small tools. Decluttering on Sundays paid off today.

I add a little drop of water to the bottom of the pan in the airfryer. Keeps the food moist. Gorgeous video as always.

It's hard for me to believe that is New York. Loved the music to which you showed us your pumping gas - that easy country feeling (which I DO NOT get in Los Angeles).. Very nice......then as soon as I typed that, you went into trademark copyright infringements you encounter as a UA-camr. All the intricacies and hoops you need to jump through. Not easy.

I am really glad that your growling noise has been repaired , I bet it seems really nice to have a quiet ride now.. The awing , well maybe there was a bit of a sag in the material because the mechanism was sticking and maybe a weird lighting issue that made it appear that there was a big rip in the awning?? 🤔. But its working now , I bet you would have used that a lot in the past few years had you know! You got lucky finding your Yeti cup LOL.. I am glad that all is good for you and Sadie! Born and raised in Seneca Falls on Cayuga Lake. We have no more falls…don’t let the name fool you. The finger Lakes area is beautiful and Ithaca is full of waterfall. Love it here.

I remember going down falls in Ithaca, like a giant wet slide over stones . So much fun.
We visited the north east in 72 and I always wanted to go back and explore more but never got the chance. Thanks for taking me along.

It's so great to see how much you enjoy your life and it really shows by how much chuckling you do in your videos. It's truly wonderful! About salads- I recently started adding pearl barley to my big, tossed salads. A cooked, crumbled black bean burg is also nice. I also sometimes add sliced beets. shredded red cabbage is a regular for me. I use the OXO grater with the handle. Shreds the veggies right into the bowl. super easy and a quick rinse and it's clean. Arugula is my fav green. Happy crunching!!`
❤❤❤❤SO Excited you featured the Finger Lakes. I spent a month camping in a tent near my friend's campground. We went to Ithaca to see a silent film with live music. We went to Binghamton and Jacksonville.
