Yo sorry for the late response, I'm glad you found your way here! next week I start the tutorials on how to make it and paint it. I hope you tune in :)
I remember seeing the teaser/wip version on thingiverse years ago, I can’t believe I have stumbled across it again. This is an awesome project and I’m glad you are sharing it! I will definitely add it to my build list.
Hey, I downloaded the files, and I have been slowly putting together my very own Caractacus, it's been a ton of fun, but I ran into some bumps, how am I supposed to attack the hips to the waist, or is it just pressure fit?
Sorry for the delay I'm just finalizing the first follow up video on how to make the arm and then I will will make the one on the legs. The hip ball joint is cross pined to the waist with a piece of filament you will see holes on the waist that you have to rotate the hip to line up and cross pin be sure to clean up the wholes with a 1.75mm brill bit. I hope he brings you much pleasure! new videos coming soon!
@@voltage3d469 The issue I am having is with the waist section, I'm not sure how the upper and lower are attached, the hip ball and joints worked great!
@@genericnpc8853 Ahh ok, you need buy some 6-32 x 3/8" nuts and screws and 6-32 x 1/2" nuts and screws for this project. For this situation you thread a lone 6-32 x 3/8" screw from underneath the lower waist directly into the plastic of the upper waists corresponding hole it will cut it's own threads into the plastic and hold fast. And don't worry I'm hard at work on the assembly videos I had a some bad creative block there for a while but it's flowing now.
bro I remember you posting this on Reddit and I spent a ton of time trying to find it, thank the algorithm for recommending this to me

Glad you found him again, There were so many corrections to the design that held it back over and over. I hope you enjoy him, he's solid now:)
I love this! I always dreamed a knight action figure, btw is it okay if I print it in PLA? Will the joints last?
yes! it's designed for pla. I'll be putting out a series of videos on how to print and fit the parts properly so stay tuned!
@@voltage3d469 thank you!

@@voltage3d469 Thanks! I got it figured out and made a hardware run, loving this project, you've definitely put a lot of effort into this!
Wow I like the flexibility. He looks pretty bad A$$ holding that gun.
You need to have a credit card to get the free STL?
No for now you just add it to the cart and put in whatever contact information you want and then download it.
Hello, what FDM printer do you have?
I use inland PLA+ from Micro Center
@@voltage3d469 I mean the printer itself? might get back to fdm just for this, been waiting for this release!
@@Hollowed1415 I beg your pardon I misread your question. I'm using the ender 1 series FDM printer.
