- "Flying staccato,” also known as “up-bow staccato,” is when short notes are played all in the same bow stroke, stopping the bow for each note. This is indicated in the music with dots over the notes as well as a slur over the group of notes that will be in one bow.
An excerpt by Sarasate's Jota Navarra
Julius Aria Sahbai, violin
Anna Danielewicz, piano

Bravo, well done.
If Dracula played the violin
Dracula definitely plays the violin! 😂
at least his staccato technique is fine.

May I please ask, what concert attire are you wearing? Where did you get it from? Did it all come together in one set or did you have to find the individual parts to make the attire look like that?
Thanks
Thank you for asking.
It's a tailor-made tailcoat and it all came together in one set. I bought it around 20 years ago in Zurich, Switzerland but I don't remember the exact store.
Greetings sir,
I hope you are well and in convivial spirits.
Thank you for your reply.
Rather lately, I have been watching Jascha Heifetz performances on the internet, especially his Tchaikovsky first movement in Carnegie Hall and his performance of the Wieniawski Scherzo Tarantelle and Paganini A minor Caprice. And I noticed that he too also wore concert attire similar, though with a bow tie.
Both his and your attire look pretty cool.
Whilst I could not see from the back is the “tails” split down the middle or is it practically one large piece of fabric that hands down?
Thank you sir and stay well.
@@cleavelandrugreanrob4034 Thank you for your comment.
Right, I just checked the metioned recording with Jascha Heifetz' Tchaikovski Concerto. So true, my tail coat suit looks pretty similar to Heifetz' tail coat and he is one of my favourite musicians for years.
Actually the tail is split down the middle. It makes it really comfortable both to perform sitting and standing.
Best wishes
Hello sir.
I hope you are well.
In turn, I also appreciate response.
If it’s alright, may I please ask if you have a personal email in which I can forward and further ask any questions I may have based on concert attire as a whole?
Would this be alright?
If not, then I understand.
Stay well sir

Jota Navarra by Sarasate.
Push the arm faster and relax your fingers on the bow.
You will get rid of the crunch, lower the bounce in the bow and gain more ease.
It is more important to have ease than control. You are trying to control it, and it sounds. Let go and it will work by itself.
I don’t like it … it’s too hard and the sound is almost ridiculous …
