Wow this is actually epic. I didn't know it was possible to upgrade your mechs to the point where they could perform like Gundams. This was cool to see.

Yes, you can. This even works for light mech, but it's risky if you end your melee attack in the enemy position, as you'll crash.
@@BillSwen So the enemy should always be right in front of you when you do the melee attack? The red "swish" indicator always confused me.

Hitting them normally just does ram damage, the red indicator is the weapon swing.
Ram damage doesn't relate to the weapon, its relative from your mechs weight to theirs. because the mech in the video is so heavy it can only powerstance walk everywhere, it knocks pilots unconscious. I don't know what the build is but its probably over 100 tons.
3:23 What the fuck that's four consecutive dashes, with a T1 Reach, in a heavy mech and your heat is not even red. How is that possible? What kind of sorcery is this?
When you have 77.5 heat dissipation, anything is possible.

I knew Melee is busted from the first mission I get to try it on a Home Guard mech, last mission in the starting area I think. With just that mech I killed 5 of the 6 mechs on that mission and 2 more tanks.
How did you get to this level of mobility and attack power in this game? I've never seen anyone play this game that well. Outstanding. Did you make anymore Phantom Brigade gameplay vids?
Overleveled plasma axe by having average mech level maxed when crafting will do insane concussion damage. Armor level doesn't matter after that, just get as much cooling and thrust as possible. Tier 3 mods on each slot and appropriate reactor/thrusters combo will make any mech a flying brick that can't walk, but will soar through the skies.
See this why I wanna get a blade mech just to go around there like I am a Gundam soloing the multiverse

Can you explain how melee hit box works? Also are u immune to crashing while melee is active?
You're immune to crash in melee. Using that, try to melee further beyond the enemy position.
As for the hitbox, the further you dash, the less reliable it is to hit far target. In the video, I usually dash somewhat close to the enemy first before doing a melee, as that's more reliable option.

Also, if it shows collision on melee strike it's still OK and your strike still goes off? I have always thought you need to only hit with the ribbon part of the indicator. That takes me ages to place everytime.
Also, I totally knew that axes are better than swords.

@@BillSwen I saw that the predict line for the attack switched from sides(right/left) of the charge line a few times. Is that done with a keybind or just random?
@@boxinthefield Hold Left CTRL in melee. You can switch the direction of melee swing.

@@AcZe1188 From the convoy, as usual. MA-M1 is an Axe, although that's a medium one. The one I used would need the MA-X1 blueprint.
