I'll just sleep in the backseat of my extended cab.

It's made of foam. In an emergency, you could just break it apart.
I used to ride with a guy who made a camper out of a Harbor Freight trailer and one of those little car top carriers you see on cars like Camrys or escorts. He was about 5’3” and fit in fine. Crazy
You'll definitely want a CO monitor in there, as well. The box could fill up with exhaust gases while driving, and you won't even know it when you get in.
You should monitor VOCs too. It's all toxic material and that inside didn't look sealed.
I would wake up in the middle of the night and freak out and tear it up getting out.
That would be ab amazing thing to witness.
Needs a escape hatch if someone parks or blocks the door.
Just back it in to where no one can park behind you.

@Reapers ASMR I'm married with a child in my mid 30s. I lucked out and found a woman with good values about 10 years ago, and I was able to make her my wife. I do not envy anyone under 25 who is trying to find a companion. There are still some good ones out there but they are getting harder to come by. If you can find one who has a good relationship with her father and her parents are not divorced I think you'll end up doing pretty good.
@@TheAnnoyingBoss nice.
I’ll just sleep in my car, thank you. I really hate not being able to instantly get up in case of an emergency. This is also why I try to avoid sleeping bags.
I thought I was paranoid last time I slept in a sleeping bag. I mean... I'm a naturally paranoid person but I thought if I zipped up my mummy bag all the way I'd end up trapped sideways or face down. Had to practice getting in and out and even then wasn't comfortable zipping up all the way

I like it. Custom and creative, gets the job done. It’s about as big as my 1-person backpacking tent I use when I go hiking, so the size is perfect to me. I could only sleep in there if it was cold out though, I’m not baking myself in that thing on a summer night
Even if there is no way it could happen, my brain is convinced I would get trapped in that thing & die. I would get no peace & would be constantly paranoid.
A well placed fart could blow down a wall in there.

Claustrophobic’s worst nightmare right there!🤣😂🤣
They can be made bigger
I love the concept. One small possible problem depending on the vehicle it might cover the tail lights
Well if things go wrong he at least owns a coffin.
So comfortable on a hot summer night.
I dig it. Ridged platform, doesn't have to be set up or torn down, no trailer license plate/registration needed, insulated, weatherproof. Seems low enough of a roof you could use it as a countertop to cook on, prep food, ect. Foldable feet so you can disconnect your coffin and take the car into town. 80lbs means even a sedan could tote it, with minimal air drag or MPG loss.
Add hooks to the roof so you can secure one side of a tarp, tie the other end to two trees, and you have a 'roofed canopy' for sun/rain.
Insulating it was a really smart idea. That way when you're not using it you can pack dead bodies in there with ice and ship them around the country without them going sour on you. People pay a lot of money if their loved one dies in like Florida but nobody wants to go to the funeral there so they ship them back to Minnesota for the service. You're an entrepreneur for sure
That's seriously creative and industrious! I've only seen one thing about as small as that, a bike camper, but maybe that was even a little bigger though 😉
Glad you liked it!
Even bike campers are bigger than this thing.
Just an awesome design you could increase the headroom double it using the same materials and you probably wouldn't add more than 40 pounds and help The cluster phobic crowd Is great work

Not for me, I would get claustrophobic. Not enough headroom and climbing in and out seems to be a struggle too. Plus, with only those 2 tiny windows (and no mosquito protection it seems), if I imagine camping in it on hot summer days, I get pizza oven vibes. No, I take a nice, airy tent anytime 😂

I slept in my car for 6 months. Laying on your back all the time. Got really old and cramps were bad. No matter what you tried to do. I would have loved this. Being able to sleep on my stomach just once during that time would have dramatically helped.
Slept in my 2013 Camry from May 2021 - November 2022. Best sleep in years. Back and neck pain much better. Slept on nice firm mattress before, something about not laying flat in car. Really fit me just right. I'm 5'7" 145 lbs so that helped too 😂
Nicely made, but I'd bump my head way too many times. Lol
Ouch 🤕
Well it sounds like it's light enough you could probably add about 2' to the height of it If you weren't concerned about getting in that liftgate of the back of the suv... That shouldn't add but another 20 pounds and still be well within the hitch load rating of most vehicles.
I camp and Hike for the most part off my life.‼️ And seeing this I can tell you just sleep in your 🚗 car 🤣 is the same thing and you got more room ‼️‼️
Exactly😂 the only thing is you can lie fully reclined in the coffin that's the only advantage I can see🤔
On a serious note Awesome 😎...... I bet it sleeps nice....and quiet....
Don't forget to grab your keys in case somebody tries to steal it while you're sleeping. If not, it could become a real coffin quick.
When I was younger, I toured on my motorcycle and was stupid enough to park in a Truck stop far off stall and pitch a tent. I was awakened by loud noises that were close. I get out of the tent and some trucker is trying to park his rig in my stall! So, note to self: don't sleep on asphalt, which is accessible to vehicles.
Hubby & son in law made something similar for the back of our van for camping goodies, I would never sleep in something like that, to small for me and I’m only 5’3”….

Now my imagination is running wild: a built in portable biodigester that turns food scraps, human waste, and other organic material from the toilet into burnable gas for the camping stove as well as storing a collapsable twig burning rocket stove for backup.
Adding three wheels like an electric cargo trike and a motorized hybrid system where using biofuel from waste, hydrogen from the water storage and electric from the solar, pedaling, and brake system.
