+Skrublords Inc. Not a combo, no. It's a mixup - use light attacks to get them to focus on blocking, then go for a throw or overhead to catch them off-guard. It's an SF offense fundamental with little presence in Smash since there isn't high/low blocking in Smash, you can grab someone in shieldstun anyway, and few Smash moves are fast and safe on block like SF jabs.
Can someone please tell me what happened to Project M? I know it got shutdown but you can still play it right. Why does it not show up in major tournaments?
Nice rayu. Why didnt he went for edgeguarding when he was fighting that luigi tho? You can just throw a haduken and if luigi airdodges you go for the naur offstage. Luigi does not have that good of a recovery in this game so that works pretty nice
+Scieric the Smashing Squid Been with Ryu ever since SF2 was given to me when I was 10. Got more taken in the Alpha series, more to advance in 3rd strike and got technical when SFIV came to the world. Playing in Sm4sh is just a joy to me :) Since Alpha, I main'ed Ryu, but at SFIV, my target was Juri cause I was interested in high chain combo's. Ryu now has become my main (Peach was my main before but now she's my second main). I swear combo's here feels so comfortable to me, breaking shields with the all-known normal attack of Ryu, the "Collarbone Breaker" feels more rewarding than Marth and Lucina's Shield breaker (I find this move effective if your able to make a strong hit on your enemy's shield first before pulling out the move). It feels like I'm playing SF than Smash when I play Ryu. Making him my main felt like a reunion to me since my SFIV main is now Juri.
+Scieric the Smashing Squid Thanks! Checked him out. His damn good! His approach on Ryu is well rounded. His playstyle is similar to what I do, even Trela. Playstyles of Ryu is mixed with Smash and SF, best playstyle strategy to control over Ryu and way deadly once mastered. I really liked his FADC baiting strategies at the edges. Works well better than my Shield breaking strategy, as it requires me to do a first hit before I can pull out the collarbone breaker. Hooded's Ryu is dead solid, more cold than ice and spicy than the word chilly.
That shield break was so great.
Ikr, shield breaks always get my nipples aroused
*:&
Trela's Ryu is amazing! That shield break was perfect!
You could say he was really feeling it
I love this new Ryu idea in smash. Now we have D1 talking about street fighter!!
5:35 Shield Break + Shoryuken = Glorious Combo

lol ryu isn't a ninja
yeah he is
+DemonicLemon471 so he is kinda but not really
+DemonicLemon471 he is kinda can we agree on that
+Julian Suarez .......are you trolling or just stupid? ryu from street fighter is not a ninja. he doesn't even know ninjitsu. ibuki is a ninja
+TheDisrespectfulGentlemen I'm not in just think he is that the difference
Excellent Ryu😆👍
man trela's play style is super fun to watch
Man Trela's ryu has really improved from that tourney to now! Even back then it was pretty good though.
LMAO that tick-tick-overhead is straight out of SF
and he couldn't even mash throw because he was facing the wrong way
godlike stuff from Trela
Wasn't that whole sequence a SF combo?

+wuzzuuuuuup more shield stun now. wait for the game to develop
+wuzzuuuuuup That's not even a mixup either.
ryu got his own blade in the form of his fists.
marth and lucina can now just stand back and walk in his shadow..
Funny enough, his foot acts like a tipper.
The word ken in japanese actually can refer to both swords and fists.
+WITCH NEKO toes
+tenorsaxophone2012 No, it's not the toes. Actually, it's the heel of Ryu's foot.
+WITCH NEKO nice
5:37
freakin' incredible finish
these two commentating is just a treasure. hilarious :'3
LOL Reg in Trela's facecam in the lower-left corner at 5:39
Thats like an actual combo from Street Fighter! lol
"He gave him the big toe and the fist, man!" XD
Was kind of hoping Weegee would throw out an Up+B too. Shoryukens all around.
Poor Luigi, he did not see that coming!
What move did trela use to break the other guys shield?
Strong forward tilt
Trella is a monster wow
Can someone please tell me what happened to Project M? I know it got shutdown but you can still play it right. Why does it not show up in major tournaments?
I don't know either but my main guess is issues with nintendo
wait a minute, was EE commentating here?!
2:53 the bottom left stage looks interesting.....
Trela the justice maker.
shiiiittttt that finish... i wanna play Ryu badly... why did my brother break my wii u remote...

+Harryx74 Like D1 said, Trela didn't want to run into any misfire or cyclone that Luigi could bring out.
He played the Mustard Ryu
excuse me its the bruce lee ryu,

Incoming For Glory Ryus. xD
I'm good with Ryu.

Well, that's nice. Check out Hooded. He's a damn good Ryu. And he claims I'm good. Don't know how that's possible but apparently I'm good.
+Scieric the Smashing Squid Thanks!

boss is decent but concon is the best luigi
thepxlgaming oh. wow.
EE has no background knowledge of any of the characters in the smash bros series. He's always making the dumbest assumptions XD
