Love this. Watching these contests live never does anything for me because there are almost always a ton of failed attempts beforehand so I can tell what's going to happen.
I have never heard of this combo contest going on, but this is one of the coolest smash vids ive ever seen. definitely gonna be tuning into these in the future!
The combos that people can pull off in this game are always a sight to behold. While #1 definitely deserves its spot (Seriously; if I pulled that off, I would’ve called it after that first attempt), my favorite is honestly #13. KYSK’s Kirby going that deep for a very well-executed chain off the side of the stage was so satisfying to watch.
My favorites definitely have to be any that could be reasonably performed in an actual match. Obviously crazy intricate ones with careful setup are cool, but the idea of actually pulling one off in a competitive setting is baller as fuck
That combo scored a 50, but I didn't think the reaction was quite hype enough to make this video. I think the reaction was unfortunately a bit lackluster since it was less of a hype combo and more of a technical combo, but of course it was still very impressive nonetheless.
Ive been watching these every year since they started and prince, taco and huntsman stay on top. I still remember when prince brought in the slow mo for the first time, so amazing.
Always a huge fan of when these contests roll around but I can never take the judging seriously bc of the way they go one-by-one to effectively peer pressure the others into giving a good score & then getting vilified when they stick to their honest opinion. That and with a 7 just being the general “it’s good” nowadays in ratings the scores give no sustenance. They rly oughta all reveal their scores at the same time going forward cuz they’re prolly my least favorite part of these competitions (besides their reactions)
My favorite part of these combo contest clips is they’re the rare bits of Smash history that I don’t have to mute in order to avoid hearing D1’s voice. Now if some Saint could get on editing his face and voice out of every tournament set and hype moment, you would have a guaranteed spot in heaven.

With that small detail of moving the character to a safe area so that he doesn't fall, it shows a lot about his perfectionist personality, it could even be a habit in autistic spectrums as something good, since at the end of the day he only looks at those extremely elaborate combos that Prince pulls out of his sleeve

Lololol

That Prince Yoshi combo on Brinstar immediately came to mind. Prince did a combo and everyone got hype and he just reset and did it better.
It's awesome no matter how many times I see it
Isaí giving a genuine smile or laugh and a 10 is like winning an Oscar
i love how it's basically mandatory that every falcon combo has to end with falcon punch
Its an unspoken law.
This truly is a Smash 64 combos but they get increasingly more hype moment.
69th like. Hopefully it stays there!
No shit
A series of hype moments that, in sequence, become increasingly even moreso

I stopped watching the combo contest since 2017, and your combos just gave me a reason to watch it again. You KILLED it brother. 💪💪

The top 3 could realistically be in any order. All of them have tons of hype in their own ways.
When I clicked on this video, I expected regular matches.
Seeing a COMBO CONTEST was such an out there pivot that I utterly love it.
The Samus death combo was pure architectural artwork
