There is a moment in your life you have to sat down and released all the stressed by listening to all those beautiful music , dino i wish you were Still alive.
At this stage of their careers, Sinatra and Martin had co-starred in "Some Came Running" for Vincent Minnelli and in "Ocean's Eleven" for Lewis Milestone. They were playing Las Vegas at the Sands and Sinatra was about to produce and star in the Inaugural Gala for John F. Kennedy. He was also changing record labels from Capitol to Reprise.
Love it, anymore of this show available? :-) The two Dagos are always gold together, and in their prime here. Who else could get away with breaking Frank's balls like this? I imagine they're doing this right now in heaven, with Smokey and a well-stocked "salad bar".
Bryan ismyname So sad to think that part really did come true, the comment about Peter Lawford was a part of history. I was only 5 when the president was shot but i remember that day.
I thought Dean was much younger than Frank! I didn't know they were around the same age. I guess Dean started his career later while Sinatra started in the late 1930s
frank was early 40s, dean was still in the late 30s, pushing 40. i always thought he looked too old for his age, than frank. frank was 3yor than dean, in 79, frank was what 62, while dean was 59. he was just divorced by catherine. rmmbr over a decade ago now... ppl keep saying mia's son ronan is frank's but in 1990 hes 75. how does that work? he wouldve been 72-73. that dont match up, but poor mia. woody rly messed her up, and here i always thought it was only jackie mason who picked her for marrying frank in 66-68, which started his fury with comics again. but never did dean let anything harm his family.. ppl always said sammy may have died first, then dean, then frank, but again, ppl always forget no4...no not bing, the og no4 which was lawford who died in the 80s. whether frank and peter truly reconciled is still a mystery i still dont believe ava's involvement. less we forget, joey bishop outlived them all...so it went 4, 3, 2, 1, 5. i still think shirley and liza are leading the rat pack now..js but these days, the frat packs, brit packs have died down since Will Ferrell stepped up to lead his pack of Ron Bungundy lolss
"This is Your Life." I know that this was tightly-scripted, and well-rehearsed... ...but these two, in each others' company, were so loose and relaxed that they seemed to be making this up on the spot. (Given that this was 1960, the off-hand reference to Peter Lawford at the very end was eerily prescient.)
I have to disagree, my gut says it was loosely scripted and barely rehearsed. Neither one of them wanted to rehearse and neither of them really needed to rehearse,,, and were well known for it.
The best thing about Dean is he was one of the best ab lib there was. He never rehearse cause he wanted things to seem real no matter what. I heard him say something like... Real life is not rehearse so i don't want my show to be as much. .
yes'mam arlene.. just wish that unfortunate episode with the potato farmers of Michigan had never happened.. never mind "Chinese Food! Chinese Food!" amazing
2packs4sure I do understand that he had several specials before this. I was just slightly confused as you had included the "the Dean Martin Show" in the title. thank you for the clarification
@@caydenspratt5106 I gotcha ya, I was just clarifying that for the most part the specials that aired BEFORE his regular NBC series were also labeled as The Dean Martin Show...
I'm not sure if we were debating it but there is a Flushing Long Island ... Flushing is an urban neighborhood located in the borough of Queens, Long island, New York. The neighborhood is surrounded by Shea Stadium on the West, Francis Lewis Boulevard on the East, Jewel Avenue on the South and Willets Point Boulevard. As of the 2000 census, more than half of its population is Asian American with the largest ethnic Chinese community in the New York metropolitan area. Flushing is the second-largest Chinatown in United States. There are 7 subways or the LIRR at Flushing Main Street and step into the crowds. Downtown Manhattan is just 30 minutes away.

@@2packs4sure thanks a lot for post,
The portion with Don Knotts is already on UA-cam.
I have 40 minutes of the show which i'm sure is basically the whole show.
Very funny, up until the end, when it suddenly turns rather chilling.
Weird to think they played that "Suddenly" scene" 3 years to the month before JFK's assassination.
