  • The Bewick’s Wren (pronounced like Buick) is a little brown bird with a lot of spirit and a loud, melodious voice. There's a short clip of a Song Sparrow's because it can sing similar to the Bewick's Wren. Also featured, toward the end of the video, are the House Wren, Pacific Wren and Marsh Wren for comparison and you'll see they don't sound much like the Bewick's. The Bewick's Wren is common in Western Oregon. Its habitat is nearly any brushy place below 2000 feet, such as forest clearings, along streams and lakes, backyards, parks, hedgerows and forests with open canopies. It eats insects, spiders and similar small prey almost exclusively.
