I guess I was destined to cry this morning.First heard of Helen's passing, then heard of Mac's passing too. Both great artists, both passing at 78 .The 70's would not have been the same without you,and you will be LONG remembered for your artistry.Peace and rest to you both
beautiful montage of photos. most no longer with us sadly. Helen, like Karen Carpenter, Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Julie Andrews, Judy Collins and a few others, had that very special tone quality and diction.
Helen Reddy, you were in Mac Davis' words, "one hell of a woman" and Mac Davis, sir, you really were "one hell of man". You both make one heavenly music separately and together. One heck of a couple, you both will darn well be sincerely missed! Thank you and God bless both of you!
this takes me back to a place, maybe one of the first songs I practiced singing, I might be 7/8, walking with my friend roger, we would sing it .. and Im back there, smiling...havent heard this since then, thanks for posting..
Life is depressing enough with the pandemic but losing these two giant entertainer of the 70s that graced the soundwaves and television is sad. RIP Helen and Mac. Thanks for your music.
@@marycody7436 I hadn't noticed that. Thank you for pointing out that coincidence. Beautiful music came from these lovely artists. Just look at their hairdos.
How ironic that they passed the same day. I was just watching her as a guest on his show. RIP to two incredible music artists and people! Thank you for blessing us with your music, your voices will be around forever. In the year 2100 they will still be watching probably space videos of the greatest era of music in our lifetime!❤️💙
Do recall where the final pic is from, that is Mac Davis with her? If so I'm guessing from their appearance together on the Merv Griffin show in 1973? Just wondering is you or someone else can confirm? I can't find that episode on UA-cam. I Believe in Music is the song that made her a star. :)
I believe in music did not make Helen Reddy a star her first hit was I don’t know how to love him when she wrote I am woman and it became number one that’s the song that made Helen Reddy star I am woman just so you can understand that. I am woman sky rocketed her into super stardom It’s sky rock
Thank you Helen. I was raised on your music. Mac Davis was an amazing song writer. God bless the both of you.

Everyone on the planet Earth should listen to this song!!! ;))

I love her songs. She had a distinctive voice. Today a lot of singers sound almost alike.
That picture of them together makes me feel sad.
Helen and Mac leave the earth together the same day.....so weird. RIP
Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died on the same day in 2009.
Mac Davis' original version is my favorite while Gallery's is a close runner up.
That beautiful broad smile was the same all her life...
It sure was. Time changed the look but it didn't change the smile.
Remember, that Helen recorded one of her biggest hits “ I believe in music “was written 0by Mac Davis I find that out a””little bit strange
❤LOVE❤
that voice- and sooo luscious....
WOW!
Rest In Peace.
2:56 Helen Reddy and Mac Davis died a few hours apart this past week.
Music is a universal language and love is the key.
Not rap which only breeds racism and anger.
They had to be linked souls....
💜💞♥️
How an ironic coincidence that both Mac Davis and Helen Reddy died on the same day and at the same age.

she hated the song "I don't how to love him" and said I'll only record it if i can record "I believe in music" which she loved
Hello Rhianna
I find it quite sad that both Reddy and Davis died without hours of each other.
Wow.. How ironic
Anne Murray is 75 and still singing.
Both Mac Davis and Helen Ready Ready died..
Helen was always trying to get her metaphysical beliefs out there. This song is a perfect example.
where can a thumb go up, thumbnail?
there!
