Here (in 2024) having seen Robert Plant - Saving Grace at Sheffield City Hall, last night, one word review: MAGNIFICENT! What sweet, gentle, voices - matched by a superb band: Go see them, if you get the chance…
who'd have ever thought that the guy on the other side of Miss Krauss was the greatest rock singer ever, who fronted the heaviest of rock bands of all time? The man is so great he elevates the music to supreme beauty with a perfect matching of their voices, supported by perfect musical accompaniment.
My friends favourite song. It was played at her funeral. A couple of months later it was played at her husbands funeral. She died of cancer, he had a heart attack. I miss them both.
So sorry for your double loss. As a person that relates everything to music.... i would suggest....Anders Osborne ( New Orleans) and or if you follow any alt country.... Ryan Bingham, or Cody Johnson..... great folks that have humble beginnings. - Left Eye Giibby
Superb performance all around - Buddy Miller on pedal steel and T-Bone Burnett (great guitar), Alison tremendous but whoever said Robert Plant could only sing rock!! He's the man
A Bluegrass singer and a Blues rock singer were never really as far apart as most people thought anyway. Those music forms sound different on the surface, but come from the same common roots.
❤Thanks for your endless love and support you have shown me. I’m forever grateful. I really appreciate your unconditional love and support towards me... Where are you watching from?❤
Robert Plant is so sexy. His voice is endless. It's hard to believe he's the same guy I use to listen to in the 70s. They make a great singing team. Give us more music 🎶 🎵 please
Leaves were falling, just like embers In colors red and gold they set us on fire Burning just like a moonbeam ... in our eyes Somebody said they saw me Swinging the world by the tail Bouncing over a white cloud Killing the Blues I am guilty of something I hope you never do because there is nothing Sadder than losing ... yourself in love Somebody said they saw me Swinging the world by the tail Bouncing over a white cloud Killing the Blues Somebody said they saw me Swinging the world by the tail Bouncing over a white cloud Killing the Blues Now, you ask me Just to leave you To go out on my own and get what I need to You want me to find ...what I've already had
This was live! This and Santanas “soul sacrifice” live at Woodstock, are two of my favorite live performances ever. Different genres, for sure. Music is a universal language.
This and "Going Where the Lonely Go" makes me fall apart every time. I miss my dad. I miss every gal that meant something to me. They're all gone now, I am..alone. 😞💔 Alison's voice destroys me. ♥️😭
I’ve listened to this particular song quite a few times over the past few years and it never gets old. Two fantastic singers who click. I saw Robert in Toronto with Led Zeppelin in 1971 and they were fantastic. I’ve only watched Alison on t.v. and UA-cam. Great collaboration.👍👍
This song is simply beautiful. Once can only imagine what it must be like to play and sing together. This song needs to rest for a moment. You should clap only when Robert Plant has recovered
As a musician and a fan of both artists, the overall arrangement and sound make this album. Score for the producer, t-bone burnett. His original thinking makes all the difference between Grammy and flop. The sound alone is completely different than anything I have heard. Originality. Works every time. Brilliant.
That's just bad ass singing right there! It really does not get a lot better than that folks! What a rhythm section. Buddy Miller killing it on the steel!
This is first a great piece of music. It took the artists by storm. It also is a reason why Jools is successful. He doesn’t just play dance music without thought.
they are magic together. I don't have to guess that the 85 thumbs down are LZ fanatics that can't deal with anything but hard rock. Too bad - this is great stuff.
The musical interlude beginning @1:57 was so beautiful, I forgot metonymy of my favorite vocalists of all time we’re on stage. Truly a gorgeous performance from all.
❤Thanks for your endless love and support you have shown me. I’m forever grateful. I really appreciate your unconditional love and support towards me... Where are you watching from?❤
please, please, please................keep recording together.............there is something there..............it;s magical. I hear it. Alison you have the voice of an angel...................
I saw Led Zeppelin in around 1974 in Baltimore Maryland it was awesome I am now 71 and enjoying this new rendition of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
The man did himself no harm at all with this change of direction, it's called growing up !
The golden god of hard rock and the queen of bluegrass. A match made in heaven.

dave piano Very well said. Love it!
Que c'est Bien dit ✌️ De la Poésie ♥️
And there's the guy on the other side of Plant. Pretty good ensemble, here.
Can you imagine if there were more matchups of unlikely talents paired up and making this level of unforgettable music?
@@Al_V This is fantastic. If you like it, check out Mark Knopfler and EmmyLou Harris doing "Why Worry?".
This is beyond a masterpiece. This is a spiritual experience. It's a slice of heaven.
I've been to hundreds of concerts in my lifetime. They were my favorite.
couldn't put it better myself!

Absolutely remarkable.." .bouncing over a white cloud, killing the blues " 💎
This song is beautiful and the entire album is great. I’m kinda glad Robert Plant did this.
I cried because this is so beautiful. RIP John Prine.
Song written by Rowland Salley, bass guitarist and vocalist for Chris Isaak's band Silvertone.
This is just one of the most beautiful songs ever written & performed, a truly lovely performance.
One of my favorite Prine songs, performed beautifully.
@@jimbrittain7055 He did an okay cover of it - a tad overdone with the "choir", I thought... no ?

Into the eternal, despair destroying, never ending, musical Unseen realm we go with Robert and Alison and T Bone Burnett !!!!!!!!!
Superb performance all around - Buddy Miller on pedal steel and T-Bone Burnett (great guitar), Alison tremendous but whoever said Robert Plant could only sing rock!! He's the man
+Jacquline Martins Sweet, thought that was him, searched the comments and you came through to confirm! Thanks.
II thought that was Burnett! Nice!

this brings a tear to my old eyes-can't really say why--it is just SO beautifully done-----------

The sax in John Prine's version makes it better, in my opinion.
A beautiful song by Rowland Salley.
@@peggystevenson6960 Me three.

I one session they asked him if he missed his rock and roll & he said he loves what he’s doing now ! It’s stimulating and fresh
omfg!! um wow. Robert Plant is my idol. I'm gonna cry. Him and her are so god dam good together
Alison is always on point, I think. Stunning voice.
I discovered her awesome talent when I watched the movie "O Brother where art thou".....she's amazing!
