Oh stop with the American Life conspiracy nonsense. Radio won't play her because of her age. You can hardly name an artist on top 40 radio in their late 30s, let alone in their 60s. The fact that Madonna scored top 10 hits up.to the age of 54 is a miracle and unheard of.

When my husband and I got married, this was the song we walked down the isle to. We made everyone stand and listen to the whole song. 😆

I still can't believe this song wasn't a huge hit. It's her greatest work of the decade 2010 - 2019 (along with Masterpiece and Crave)
For me one of her best ballad tunes of her later discography along with 'Masterpiece'.Great tune beautiful delivery.'Love Profusion' neeext!.

Yesss. Crave is one of her best of the 10's alongside Ghosttown & Masterpiece.
If she was 26 years old when this came out, then it would’ve been a #1 hit hands down no questions asked. This is a classic.
This song is a masterpiece...radio stations did not want to play Madonna's new songs. The video is beautiful!!! And she looks stunning in it.
Ghosttown is Madonna's best song in the last 30 years IMHO. Should've been a massive hit if radio programmers had any sense.
Madonna's ballads are really great. Always have been. And the whole Rebel Heart album is one of her best
This is a more recent Madonna song from her 2015 album Rebel Heart. She was 56 at the time. Great album imo.

A seriously underrated song, love the melody, Madonna's vocals too, this was released circa 2015, I've listened to this song countless times, it's just another cool pop song.

2015, this song is SUPERB. Due to her age, radios won't play her, so the song barely charted. Yet it was still voted song of the year.
I love this song and could have been a huge hit, if ageism didn't exist. Literally, because BBC Radio 1 didn't want to put her on the playlist because she was too old. At the same time they play the Rolling Stones and Paul Mcartney. Oh yes, they are men!

It's so interesting to watch you guys discovering her music and understanding why she is so prolific and why she is the pop star that set the barr for every pop star that followed, to this day. She doesnt have hits anymore, mainly because radio considers her too old. But her albums still hit no.1

I always come to 'forgiver' her 'other' self with her 'bitchy' attitudes whenever i come to 'face' such gems by her.Cause It hits me in and straight to the heart whenever i see this vulnerable side of hers.I LOVE this side of Madonna.She is disarming.

Her live version with Taylor Swift playing the guitar is, well, more acoustic, as well as the Rebel Heart Tour one.
I feel like this would have been a much bigger hit for her but at that point it was clear she wasn't being promoted as much over younger artists which sucked to see over the last couple decades because she has continued to put out quality albums/videos/shows.
Rolling Stone called it the best song and video of the year.

If you pause real quick at 4:25 you will see that’s not Madonna dancing at that point, it’s a body double with thicker lips and a slightly darker skin tone.

I love this song... definitely a highlight on Rebel Heart which is not my favourite album and I think is the only album I've never bought in full. I love the message of the video... a new 'family' forming to possibly save the world or bring it back from the ashes... but M... I don't think you're having any more kids, so how is this family going to survive unless you find more people? LOL... Anyway, the beauty of a white, black and Asian person uniting in love is a beautiful message of hope 'in the darkest days'.

Most of us agreed with Tyler. It’s good but at this point in her life, to get attention & radio play (radio absolutely is ageist) at her age she needs a once in a lifetime song. Like Cher with Believe. Also, the overproduction of her vocals takes away from any Madonna sound. And your just left with a generic track that’s well produced and has a decent hook.

Quite forgettable song (by Madonna standard), the whole RH album is just a mess. Since Hard Candy it’s become very apparent that M’s contribution to the songwriting on her albums is very minimal 🤷♂️

RH is a mess but it still has stellar songs (this being one of them). Interscope messed up the formatting by not releasing it as a double album; Rebel and Heart. Her songwriting is fine.. avicci came with a writing team (I know he didnt co write this song)
